I think it depends on where you live, I live in a small resort area and it’s very casual here. I’m retired, moved from the city and always had 3 wardrobes, my church clothes, dress clothes and nurses uniforms. My clothes are now simple and comfortable, early 70’s and yes I wear leggings, to the dentist, doctors and chiropractors. I want to be comfortable.

Im 54 & known for my leggings. I work in a Drs office. People feel like crap when they cone in most times. They smile when they see my leggings! I get good comments all the time. I do wear a smock or longer sweaters. I totally avoid light colors for sure!

At 69 having lost 65 pounds I have become team legging! I also agree that the length of the shirt must cover the "goods", no one wants to see that! I almost bought a pair of faux leather leggings from Costco at Christmas, and now I am going to try the ones you suggested. I have enjoyed buying all new clothes in small and medium sizes because there are some really cute classic looks out now. As a teen in the 70s I enjoyed the crazy clothes but now I just want style.

I grew up wearing panty hose now that I am elderly I use tights or leggings instead because they are warmer and more supportive. I stick to neutrals and I even have some fleece lined for winter.

Love them. I am 5'10'' and will wear them for the rest of my life. It adjusts to my slim frame, no more baggy seats, long eough, good with sandals in So CA, color fast, good with cropped or long length tops, colors pretty if I wear scarfs. I agree, no flesh toned- scary!

Great suggestions, especially the easy pairings. Since retirement I'm loving the easy relaxed look. These suggestions will allow me either time away from the sewing machine, or dedicating time to more tailored sewing. By the way, I passed the 70 mark but still carry out fashion with style. Amazon and walmart can be my leisure friend

I will be 64 next year and agree 100%. There’s a line to cross between personal style and costumed or even clownish that we must always discern but we can still express our own style. I personally love a Lagenlook “Frankie” style (Grace and Frankie). It’s a little over the top but the personality makes it fit. All that said, I recognize that fully embracing this look that works for her is too much for me to pull off. My regular casual look trims it down a bit and adds inspiration from a hippie/gypsie Stevie Nicks look. It’s heavy on jewelry, boho, accessories, and sometimes color but every.single.time. that I go out, people stop me to pay a compliment on the outfit so it’s working. Granted, there may be others in their very classy/appropriate/understated elegance style that cringe to themselves. But guess what? I don’t know they’re doing it and wouldn’t care if they did, because I can own my style and feel fabulous.

Try bralets and tanks in contrast'n colors to match your pants or shoes.... It really fixes the sheer issue and looks very Cool on many Body types... Trick is to let the mirror 🪞 show you the results...

Thanks so much for this video. I used to live in Florida and I'll probably return there from Texas. PEOPLE wear a lot of leggings there,with sort of tunic type tops and I think it looks super 😊 I am so glad to find your video because everyone's always dissing leggings which I think is strange because --sure if you have a terrible body shape, maybe you don't want to wear leggings,but if your body shape is similar to yours or mine 😉it looks great! WHY not? I always wear tunics so I cover my hips; I cover my tummy; and I cover most of my derriere which is actually the smallest part of me now😊. I buy them because of the colors. I'm influenced by Florida where people wear colors and so I have a lot of impressionistic tunic/ t-shirts that cover everything and then I mix and match them with different colored leggings and some of them are prints, but they go together super and for me it's just so much fun. I don't know if other people find it's fun to look at me? No one's ever said much but I know for me it's fun to put together my outfit and that's at least 50% if not 70% of dressing. You dress for yourself; wear what makes you happy. I think withb all the outfits you put together, you look super classy and it suits you. So I would ignore most of these people who made disparaging comments because they obviously don't have a very good body type or they don't know how to mix and match things in discreet and graceful ways and that's their problem, not ours😊

The shacket and slouch socks were never a thing where I am. My favorite outfit is the black/white with red shoes. I have heard such great things about those shoes, really good for healthier foot, knee, hip health. A look that has been popular here is the shirt out but then the front or side tucked in. Then I saw belt loops so I settled on a wider Grip6 belt in black with a black buckle and a silver gray buckle for more casual looks. Minimalist but a statement of being put together. I do not have any leggings except for the gym but I do have pants that are Marks & Spencer 'treggings' and I've had them for five years and still like new in black and navy. I wear them for travel, for road trips. They are not skin tight but form fitting. From that version I would say that I am pro-legging.
