In the latest clip, Don Dirk offered his thoughts on rap music fueling the gang violence between the Black Disciples and Gangster Disciples. He distanced gang leadership from affiliated rappers, claiming they are not acting under orders from the most senior members. According to Dirk, grassroots campaigns have tried steering the youth away from gangs but there are no city resources to offer an alternative. He also spoke out against the trend of rappers "smoking" the deceased, the promotion of drug use, and the police for not solving many of Chicago's high-profile murders.
