Leadership is Leadership at the end of the day. It takes a certain personality and swagger to lead people to your proper vision. Not everyone could be Napoleon, Michael Jordan, MLK, Malcolm X, Harriot Tubman. I 1000% disagree when people say if Hoover or some of the other chicago leaders were released, they wouldn't change anything. Last time I checked, Money, Power, Respect brings IMPACT. Some places they beef, other places they are cool, thats how it was even back in the day. BGDN broke up to BGD, BD, GD, BG (BG split then turned into New Breeds) etc. Within those groups there were some disagreements. Some ppl took their ppl and went a different direction (ex. A group of Gds went out west linked with BlackStones and became Gangster Stones). That type stuff caused beefs a lot of times. While other hoods weren't in the beef and remained cool with each other. Chicago is way too big for everyone to fall under tight leadership like that. In late 90s early 2000s when a lot of the leaders were took off the streets a lot of lower ranking members start fighting and taking each other out over that "leader" spot. That was happening with a lot of the gangs. It happened so much that a lot of members that came after them noticed how police locked a bunch of em up, then a lot of ppl who took those leader spots got killed or had an attempt on their life so they didn't want the leader spot. I think that's when a lot of ppl was more on clicks n hoods instead of gangs. Thats where a lot of the click vs click stuff that we see now came from. Just a lil history
