The Michigan courts ruled that Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson overstepped her authority when she issued unilateral changes for absentee ballots in the state. It all centered on voter signature verification. If she wanted to do that, she was going to have to get the state legislature’s approval. I’m Canadian but my parents came here as immigrants when I was very young. This was back in the early 90s. I remember my mom was only Muslim woman in the building and she didn’t talk English at all. But all the women on our floor used to come over and sit with her, even though they didn’t know how to talk to eachother, they understood eachother, I thought it was funny how they tried to communicate so I used to translate for them. my mom taught them how to cook and make sweets. They asked a lot of questions about our culture because they were soooo interested in Arab culture, not because they thought we were weird. This was back when people weren’t afraid of eachother. I just don’t understand what is so threatening about immigrants

@@op3129 There is also a South Korean Movie featuring eating live fish (Seom), so that seems to be a cultural, albeit extremely snobist, bias. It also features in a Japanese book on food I happened to own some time ago... But the Kimdashians is not a show about cruelty (we all know who would win that), they are about a pathological bid for attention in an attempt to justify their own existence... and the Dashs aren't half bad starving for attention as well, so I'll still call it a show ;)

Even though I was only about 9yrs old then, it reminds me of seeing reruns of Elvis on tv, my mom saying how she wasn't allowed to watch him because parents thought his "gyrating" hips were disgusting!!😊 Also want to say that Robyn Banks looks like the kindest, happiest person to have that tough of a job!
