If wind is only responsible for 14% of the energy in Texas, 86% is coming from fossil fuel, gas and nuclear. And if wind is calculated for only 2% of the energy production in winter how can wind be responsible for the failure?

The windmills work here up North we’ve had freezing temperatures for a while. They have to turn them off from time to time for regular maintenance. But I have never heard of them being stuck because they are frozen.

But they had the opportunity to build them so they would work like the ones in Sweden, Finland and Antarctica. But because they chose to deregulate their electric grid so there's no government oversight, they can do what they want, build how they want, and when Texas nearly freezes all to hell, they'll blame everyone else because the windmills don't work.

Just for some reality - here in the province of Manitoba in Canada, our temperatures regularly hit as low as -45*F - and we have hundreds of windmills in the southern region of the province - and they never stop operating. And for a bit more perspective, many northern US states also have windmills...all I'm sayin' is I'm just sayin'...windmills froze and Texas shut down eh? Jeezus...
