This documentary was released to help celebrate the 25th anniversary (Sunday December 6th 2015) of the grant of conditional NHL expansion franchises to the cities of Ottawa and Tampa on Thursday December 6th 1990.
It coincides with the launch of the book: Don't Back Down, the real story of the founding of the NHL's Ottawa Senators and why big leagues matter written by team founder Bruce M Firestone available from brucemfireston....
The book is the inside story of the return of the modern era Ottawa Senators. It’s an underdog tale full of suspense, intrigue and surprise. In it, Firestone explores and explains the world of pro sports-its characters, economics and prospects in North America.
He also shows how it might be possible to add more NHL teams in Canada, and what the future may hold for sports leagues and the Sens in a changing technological scene and altered state of city planning and development.
