Wow that car is rough and sketchy, i feel you about buying used RC's off FBM i did several trades and each one of them had issues. I have an older XO-1 like yours but since i bought initially i converted to a V2 and put in a Castle MMX 8s\1717 1,650kv combo in mine and i love it with a 20t pinion with 46t steel spur i might be in the ball park of 65 - 70mph on mine.
