Don't Buy From Seicane 

Not only did the headunit not work, they agreed to pay half the return shipping ($72) to China which they did not do despite me sending tracking info. The return sat in Chinese customs for 6 weeks and then after they picked it up (USPS tracking verified) they denied receiving it. So no replacement, no refund and not shipping reimbursement and an email stream to prove they are liars and thieves. Filed credit card fraud case with my bank. Do not do business with these dishonest people.

I'm have the xtron brand it works flawless no problem at all, over 1 years.

Seicane is contacting youtubers saying they will send a unit (free) to do the review and install. Thats fake, After asking your adress they say that they can only do 10% discount. just a loss of time!

don't buy from seicane. makes sense to me. I ordered, received and installed an 8" unit for Honda accord and it is junk. And only service thus far has been lip service, and that only lasted for about 2 days. They don't even respond anymore. Of course I ended up putting the original unit back in car. I needed my heat and air from time to time.

You are the first person that said something bad but I'm guessing you just got a bad unit and also it's an android radio not iPhone

Sad to see you had issues; these Chinese units are a real crap-shoot. I've had a Joying unit for about two years now and its been great, but I can't stress enough how much the Malaysk ROMs have improved these units for me. Definitely stick with the "name brand" distributors like Eonon, Joying, or Pumpkin, and always check what chipset and MCU these are running before you buy them! Dodge the Intel boards like the plague, and don't bother with anything other than Rk3188/PX5 chipsets and MTCB/MTCD MCU units if you want to run Malaysk ROMs. (PX5/MTCD are most recent/best units last I knew) Newer boards (PX5) have newer/better bluetooth modules and audio output along with an improved sleep mode that gets these back running much faster from a cold boot. It's a real pain to find a good unit with all the bells and whistles that has to best board and MCU, but don't cheap out or you'll regret it. Normally they're found from the main brands mentioned earlier, but always ask for details on the board and MCU before buying, and Amazon is your best bet since you can usually return it without having to ship it to freaking China (which costs half of what you paid for the unit). Make sure it's shipped by Amazon and you're pretty much set since most offer 30-90 day returns. If you've still got this unit kicking in your car, I'd highly recommend moving over to the Malaysk ROMs if you have a compatible chipset/board and MCU. It offers a ton of fixes, advancements, tweaks, reskins, start-up control/priority, auto-brightness by time/GPS; just a slew of improvements that's too many to list. It has a bit of a steep learning curve to figure out how to make all the adjustments and start-up priorities, but it's well worth it. It took my unit from being OK to Great, but as always, your mileage may vary. If you listen primarily to saved music (not streaming) I use iSyncer to sync my iTunes library/playlists directly to my unit and play it all through PowerAmp (Malaysk's ROM includes Headunit which will translate the steering wheel and face controls to PowerAmp). One of the PowerAmp widgets puts up the album art and controls full-screen which can be made translucent, and can be touched off using AudioGlow Live Wallpaper to put a nice visualizer in the background. I also use Twilight to auto-control brightness and add an additional dimmer that is time/GPS controlled. Works great, and looks awesome. Thanks for the review and follow-up; it's been really hard to find honest reviews and long-term follow-ups on these units. Hopefully you can hose them out of a second free unit! Absolutely terrible quality unit. I bought one based on another bmw channel. Totally sucks. All you problems are also present in the Android 9.

i was thinking about purchasing from Seicane because they are the only ones that make a 1.5 din video stereo for my dodge. Thanks for sharing your experience. Guess ill go for a full 2 din system from a reputable brand.

I bought one through aliexpress. Shortly after I purchased they marked the item status to shipped, then after 4 days they unmarked it from it's shipped status. I thought it was a scam because all the videos I watched and forums I read on "aliexpress scams" were quite similar. I filed a dispute with aliexpress, won the dispute with a full refund and apparently seicane still had shipped the headunit. Most people in my car group have nothing but positive reviews of the headunit. Not the same one as this, nonetheless still a seicane product.

Just canceled my order after watching this video lol Edit: Scratch that. I took the risk. And paid 90. I ordered a more updated one. Android 8.1 with 2GB of Ram and 32GB or ROM Storage. Also use capacitive buttons. The only issue is the back light for the buttons aren't working so it's hard to use at night and the back up camera won't work. They have terrible customer service, so I filed a dispute and they responded immediately and are trying to help. It's annoying but it's not bad for an android unit.

Someone from Seicane contacted me about 6+ months ago and offered a free stereo to do a install video on my 528I or any other vehicle I had in mind. I Googled researched Seicane and I quickly declined. Those crap chinese electronics are not worth the time or energy,,,,,even for free!!

I have an eonon one and it works perfectly (have it for a year now) it's pretty slow because it only has 1gb ram (the new ones are supposed to be a lot faster i've heard) but you can get around that by rooting it and disabling google play services, once that's done it runs pretty smooth. Haven't had any problems with my eonon but I've read that they don't have the best customer services and they just try to sell you a new one if you say yours has a problem, but than again it's pretty cheap and is amazing to have if it works so if you have the money, i'd say risk it :D

I know this is an old video, but at 6:15 - that's the iPhone way of doing it and nothing wrong with your head unit. You have to have the hot spot screen on the iphone active to see and connect to the hot spot.

I had one of these from Pumpkin audio, got it from Amazon, it looks great but was total toilet, not clear sound, CD kept making cliking noise so returned it, it was a paint to put in too

Thank you for making this video!!!. I was just about to buy a unit from them. I saw many positive youtube reviews but then I looked at the description on all of them and they were offering discount codes. Either they received the unit for free/discount or they are getting some kind of kickback.

I just got an Eonon Android 8. My DSP sounds much better and richer now, all 10 speakers. Canbus works perfectly with the steering wheel controls. And the bottom button starts the phone Bluetooth. Thanks 50skid for showing how to swap the Canbus between the two supplied harnesses (instruction was totally silent on that). Otherwise I would have no clue! Also connecting the harnesses are tricky, as the factory harness (female) shell retracts after un-coupled from the radio's male part. So the supplied Eonon harness doesn't seem to match and won't mate! One has to open the factory harness shell for the two to mate. I think I missed 50skid's demo. About the premature death or malfunction that 50skid experienced: I was so amazed by the sound and the features that I spent hours setting up the head unit, and enjoying the sound. For example, the Voice Command is hidden pretty deep. The engine was not running. So after about 3 hours (the car hasn't been operated for a while), the Android head was shutting off, and I couldn't start the car. It drained the battery. Also, I touched the head unit, it was very very hot! Maybe that's the reason the head unit developed malfunction after a while, like 50skid's unit. Think about this: 4GB of DRAM, and an Octocore CPU, all in a small box, without ventilation, stuffed in a very tight compartment (again without adequate ventilation). That's a problem we would have to deal with for a while, until newer cars would have better ventilation under the dashboard.

A-Sure is also one of Seicane's Brands (Or ReBrands). They make an absolutely brilliant (in concept) "Fake RB1" for Chrysler/Mopar vehicles. I have two different ones in two different vehicles - The Windows CE version & The Android Version. All those terms should be used somewhat lightly. They're wonderful when they're functioning flawlessly & infuriating a majority of the time. I was never ALL that surprised by this but their Customer Service is disgusting. I only paid about $200 or so for each New. 1st one came Brand New in the box with the CD Slot not even usable. The 2nd one is reasonably fully functional for being g_0_0_k shlt (kys with the censorship, fatboy) but took a good 2 1/2 weeks to receive as the company sent everything in like 5 separate parcels from 2 different regions of the world. I initially recieved nothing but an SD Card (For the GPS Nav), then the Unit & eventually the other SD Card & Backup Camera. One unit actually came from Amazon & was backed by Prime - which is rather embarrassing for Amazon. I don't subscribe to the whole "This was made for the chinese market" concept though, man. You're giving an incredible amount of unwarranted faith in these slant trash companies if you honestly think they make a "High(er) Quality" North America version. lol

Had the same issue, then I pushed the reset button by the tuning button.. and it works great now. I also cut the black tabs on top for a better fit and finish.

I have a head unit form them, it't presented on my channel, and it's been perfect so far. I love it.

Eonon, Joying or Seicane... all these units have the same coreboards and parts. I'd recommend to visit XDA forum and download custom Malaysk's ROM for your unit. Give a chance to learn the button in the secret menu again. To learn more than one button, you have to choose another profile (there are 6 profiles or it should be at least) in this section. I had the same problems with buttons.

the wi-fi part is part of iPhones firmware and isn't an issue.

Interesting video. So, there's Hizpo, Eonon, and Eonon just came out with a newer version.Then theres these no names that look exactly alike each one one these. I just recently tried installing a Hizpo in my bmw 04 330ci. It didnt fit because of the antenna attachments. They pushed the unit out by a 1/4". When the antennas are not attached, it fits like a glove. I had returned it. I see these units fit correctly in my kind of car, atleast an 03 or a 05 or 06. But thus far, not an 04 330ci. So, I,m pretty confused. I am now seeing a dbl din Android, half the size in depth . I,m wondering about that. Because I bought a pioneer AVH 2300NEX dbl din. Nice radio but I am unwilling to re fab the ac duct so I got a install kit that sticks the unit out by 2". Yuck!! I hate it! I just bought that 3 days ago. About to remove it and put back my other pioneer.

I wish I saw this video sooner. Just purchased one head unit but different brand. It's a piece of crap and it makes me totally upset. It usually has trouble with GPS. Bluetooth has a sound delay of 1 second especially if you play RU-vid on your phone. Internet speed via wifi is slow. The only thing Chinese sellers want from you is your money, after that no more or return business with them. What they always tell you is their products made of high quality, extensive R&D which is a bunch of BS

I was actually thinking about getting one but now I’m not so sure. Some people have had no problems and others have had nothing but problems so idk... I was looking at other brands and I came across Erisin, the model I was looking at was the ES3446B and I was looking at reviews and another RU-vid channel had one (his was an older model) and he was saying he was pretty happy with his. Has anyone got one of these units or heard anything about them? Not much I could find online. Cheers and awesome video!

6:20 (ish) of course the headunit doesn't automatically connect until you make a connection available to it. You also have the option of plugging a 4g-dongle to the usb OR getting a simcard for it. Internet tethering is notoriously bad for your phone's battery anyway. Furthermore, it is not surprising that a headunit built by a chinese manufacturer would default to chinese local time. PS. publishing Zoe's email address and making the body text visible violates a number of laws. Blur it to be safe.

I don’t think the issues are made for the US market related. I think the issue the firmware/software. You said it yourself the stuff has worked. You can make this thing with no software firmware and hand it to 20 places and get 20 different results. It’s no different with TVs. I have a few Hisense TVs... unfortunately one has Android TV built in which is the most amazing experience there is... if it works! Problem is my model seams to be a special made for Best Buy only unit. It’s not the hardware that sucks it’s the software. Colors will randomly mess up especially with HDR. There is a memory leak so over the course of days it gets slower and slower then locks up. These are things that had it been a super common Hisense model they would have resolved the issue. Only thing is when you decide on the cost of parts to put in a device you pay extra per device. When you pay for the quality of the firmware and software you pay all at once and the cost is exponentially higher per unit for small batches. If Samsung spends $500,000 on software development for a TV operating system it is probably a drop in the bucket. If Hisense has to spend $100,000 on development to fix an issue for a set of TV control systems that they only sold 20,000 units... well that’s an unacceptable cost when they can’t even afford to put 8GB of storage in the TV. Anyways the guys that have it working just fine probably did a better job with the firmware. You’ll also notice some people are running completely different versions of android on these head units. You want to run the lowest version that works and has all the features you need. However consumers want to see the highest version number...

I ordered an Android headunit from a company called Harfey official store. It turns out this device is a Seicane car radio. According to the add it's suitable for a Clio 2013-2016, so as mine is a 2015 it should be ok. I tried fitting the radio into the dash, does not fit in addition the steering wheel controls don't work either. It's delivered with a Duster canbus unit. The Harfey folks come back with one liners ignoring the fact it does not fit and tell me to connect key1 to the steering control cables. As far as what I found I have 7 cables and need a converter to be able to connect key1 or 2. So it defenitly did not meet expectations. Altough Harfey appears to build the hardware they just use Seicane headunits. Support sucks sofar, if I had known this I would not have spend 242 euros on it. The only positive so far is the fact that the audio sounds noticably better, also naviagtion is really a great improvment as its up to date on a 10 inch display, the fact steering control does not work and keeping the unit together using gaffer tape is far from optimal.

Wish I'd seen this before I bought mine last October 2019. I paid for an 10.1 8 core 64G android 9 received an 8 core 32G. I've had frequent GPS signal loss. Now it won't connect to wifi. I get "No find mcu file" their after dahe customer service doesn't exist, they even deleted my account info. Now claiming I never bought it from them. Seicane RUN AWAY DON'T BUY!

You'll need to find if it's a mtcd or mtce and flash a new firmware. You can also upgrade the android os on it. The brand name doesn't matter its the chips that matter and yours look like an rk3188 version.

I bought a head unit from them and I paid $100 for 3 to 5 day shipping. I just received the head unit today and it’s two months later. I’ve sent several emails back-and-forth with them and they would only give me an eight dollar refund for my shipping. Now I’m in the process of installing the head unit and I just discovered that they sent me the wrong wiring harness with the unit.. i’m so pissed off right now. I have to send them another email explaining my frustrations and who knows how long it will be before I can even get the correct wiring harness. Wish me luck

I don’t know bro but maybe it was just a bad experience for you, i bought an android headunit for my Toyota hilux 2016 from seicane with full options apple carplay etc. and installed myself not only that it worked perfectly the sound quality of the amplifiers were amazing , i had the best experience with seicane screens.

100% agree with him. DO not buy it from Seicane. I bough a unit for my Toyota Prius 2013 and they took 2 months to deliver it. So the frame which i received is not for Toyota Prius and also the screen size of the unit is oversize which is not exactly a fit to the original frame of Toyota Prius but on their website they said its perfectly fit for Toyota Prius. Also, the the unit has sound issue. I have all email conversation and their foolish responses.

I should have seen this before I got one for my new 2021 JL and it is a POS. Their support sucks. The GPS doesnt work. The dash lights dont turn off after install and it drained my battery. the touch screen isnt lined up. alot of the apps dont work.

Is this an E46? My little brother just bought new head unit for his. I think he said the name is Eonon and it's from ebay. Check out it man, it works great and has android auto and Apple car play capability. Good luck!

It seems to be a constant case. If you buy from a Chinese seller you get screwed most of time. They get the impression once the deal is done they can just run away. Best is not to buy chinese all together, but if you can not avoid you must buy from a non chinese third party, as Amazon. At least you get a better chance. Seicane, JMCQ, AliExpress are very good examples how to get screwed in no time.

Seicane customer service is based out of China and it seems as if they are using google translate to communicate in English. After purchase my unit took almost 4 months to arrive and updates from the seller were basically nill. When I received my unit the power button doesn’t work, the clock memory doesn’t work at all nor does it sync with gps. After a polite request for warranty or refund the company said they don’t offer refunds and it would be my responsibility to ship the unit back at my costs even though the unit is defective. I do not think the risk of dealing with the seicane company is worth the risk of the purchase. The unit does look great, forgot to add that.

Good advice I totally agree, in my case the head unit wasn't compatible with the vehicles on board camera system despite them promising me it was, they also didn't send the right connections for the vehicle, customer sevice promise to reply within 24 hours but it's more like 3 days, absolutely no help at all, returned the item and had to pursue a refund via PayPal

Yes they SUCK! Bought a unit and tried to install to no avail, doesn't work. receiving the run around for over 90 days now. I spent $500 for my unit. Not to mention two times all day install. I will show the install and the nonworking unit soon with all details.

Pure rubbish, my 1 din drive doesn't work well on touch screen from day one. I was instructed to calibrate the screen with the link to a video of the 2 din model. The nefarious after-sales service. Money thrown away, never again.

Me too. Don't Buy From Seicane! I bought for Ford Focus MK3 with active park assist. It dosn't work and about 10 more Issues! I spent almost 1 Year in communication with the support. But they are unable to help.

My brother purchase a head unit from them when i got it delivered and opened the box to inspect first thing i notice was that screen film on the headunit had A LOT of air bubbles on it like someone pulled it then put it back then found out there two broken tabs for the air vents and a blown fuse.. they sold me a unit that someone returned. i emailed them and they sent me an email telling me to go to a local installer and i will only give you 80 bucks... like seriously ? i got scammed this is a scammed they knew what they put in that box.

Just to add my experience, I bought their latest version of the device for my Lancer in US and the voice and Radio part sucks as it have the crappiest signal of all. sometime i feel like i will punch this unit and throw it away. never buy from this company.

I have a android 10.2 inch unit in my altima. I've had it for about 8 months. It's all touch screen. It's a first generation unit and it's work very good. It's not from seicane though. Got it off of eBay.

Download iTunes on the unit login and do it that way 90% of it is iPhone versus Android. There's newer models on Amazon now

Remember u can have a malfuncion electronic out of the factory same happends with cellphone ps4 tv etc etc but good luck with refund or new radio

Yeah... I would echo the advice to move to a custom ROM. Check out the XDA developers forum at forum.xda-developers.com/ and you'll find thousands of people and loads of advice on how to do this. The general word is that the software in these units is not good. The hardware, however, usually is; so if you can get a ROM customization that you like, you'll be off and running. Good luck!

was about clicking BUY. I had many car android devices (mainly mirrors with DVR) and there were always serious problems. It looks like a really good idea, but unfortunately quality is very poor.

I agree. Stay away. I bought a 7.1 android version for my Chrysler 300C. The head unit interface is NOT what they show in their video. It's completely locked in garbage. On this unit they also have a singe hardware button to get home. But they have no "Return" button and it makes navigation a complete PITA. "EVERY" email I've sent asking for help on various issues was returned with either an answer that had nothing to do with the question, or no answer at all. This is a terrible company I would not deal with them. BTW: Their response to my unhappiness over the User Interface not looking anything like in their ad? "Dears, the issues to android version is what is." Thank you, Seicane Team

Bluetooth is probably inferior hardware. Such as many products from China are still in 3g and not 4g internet . I'll be shopping in USA. I knew a guy having trouble with his, seller told him he probably installed it wrong. I took a look. It's all plugged correctly. Defective.

SEICANE IS A GARBAGE I GOT ONE TOO DIFERENT MODEL BUT SEICANE AND IS JUST KEEPING TURN OFF I BOUGHT LIKE THREE OF THEM AND ALL 3 stereos keep turn off

Just something to try....I have a head unit that kept “forgetting” preset radio stations. Months later, it was time to replace my car battery. As it turns out, with a new battery, it no longer forgets stations....something about adequate power supply.

If you purchase this headunit, make sure you pay using a credit card rather than a debit card. Most credit cards offer protection on goods purchased that are faulty. You can usually get your money back if it's a good credit card company like Amex, etc..

Seicane is just a crap. I bought 2din 10.1 inch Touch Screen Car Multimedia Player Android 7.1 Bluetooth Car GPS Navi for 2011 2012 -2016 Honda CITY aliexpress.It has Quad-core 1.6GHz T3 K2001M processor. I had problems with it as detailed below. The Seller told me to do the factory reset. I did factory reset. Bu still the machine is un-customizable. Google maps do not give full voice navigation, do not run in background. I have no control of music player when google maps running,when I open music player to forward a song google maps shut down. google maps too slow to be useful. Each time system starts, music player starts also by default. I download music control widget it did not worked. I download car launcher free and music player both do not work properly, the system player and launcher overcome the downloaded applications. so practically this sytem which I bought worth 125 $ is nothing more than 10-20 dollar media player. I have 7 inch android 8 head unit in my other car working almost perfectly.

I've just had a similarly unsatisfactory experience with this company. Unfortunately for them, I'm an angry white guy who speaks Cantonese and lives just 15 minutes away. This could be entertaining.

Hello, I took the plunge and ordered a 9 inch Android 9.0 unit for my Mitsubishi L200. This is the second car I've installed one of these in, the first was a Hyundai i40 where I installed a 7inch Android 7.1 unit from Witson. That worked great for the 2 years till I sold the car. So far with this new one it's been 2 months and everything is working fine - steering wheel buttons, the extra DAB unit I ordered with it is great, I have the reverse camera working great and also retained the factory USB with the help of an adaptor cable I bought separately for £3. I guess some units are good, some not so. All I can say is that for me, so far, all is working as it should. Fingers crossed for the future.
