Today I'm giving you my final verdict on the HTVRont Autopress. Should you get it?
I keep getting asked if its good for pressing dtf, screen print transfers, heat transfer vinyl, and a few others, so here is my straight forward answer with what I primarily use it for. Hope this clears anything up! This will probably my final video on this press, but if you have any questions, drop them in the comments!

Exactly! Some stuff or techniques work better for some than others. It's about testing what works for you!

I bought it before seeing this review, will still give it a shot. I got it to get started, the goal is to upgrade to a 16 x 20 Trans Pro or HON signature

This video seems to directly conflict with the video you posted about this press roughly 2 weeks prior. Did your opinion change that much in the time between making these videos? My takeaway from the first one is that this press is adequate for most transfers but sometimes requires a little help with pressure (adding a pressing pillow, thicker padding, etc). The previous video was pretty positive and didn't mention any concerns with consistency or adhesion of certain transfer types.
@NekoPrints
@NekoPrints Год назад
I was able to be a bit more hands on with it. The press is good, but it's a hobby press. Not a workhorse. It will work with most transfer types with a few modifications. But it's not consistent. I do like it, and wouldn't mind it as a press to use here and there. But for business, I'd go with something more heavy duty.

I have being using this press for almost a year with DTF, white tonner and vinyl, it does the A and B well just need to press twice because only goes up to 99 sec other that that works for me all the time. Just got my self another one for back up as it was on special for @220.

It is a hit and miss for transfers. But, replacing the pad for a firm padding will work with most pressing.

We bought one in January for Sublimation only, it started malfunctioning (would not lower). Contacted HTVRont directly for a warranty claim. NO RESPONSE at all. Others have had the same issue with their presses and HTVRont customer service. So essentially, if you have issues, you are not going to get any support from HTVRont regarding a warranty claim. BUYER BEWARE!
@NekoPrints
@NekoPrints Год назад
Unfortunately I've heard this way too often. Some have said they've been able to get a replacement. But most don't hear back. Unfortunately that's a risk we take from purchasing from a Chinese company. The press itself has served me fairly well up until now. But I can completely understand your frustration.

To make transfers? I was thinking this would work well with the hover feature to bake DTF transfers
@farrahbahnfleth116
@farrahbahnfleth116 Год назад
What to you mean to make transfers?
@NekoPrints
@NekoPrints Год назад
@farrahbahnfleth116 probably the process to add the adhesive onto a transfer. Like in Dtf it's melting the powder on the design or with white toner prints, marrying the A and B sheet

HTVRont sent this press out to a lot of people for free (me included). I can see why people are biased. At first, I was too because it was, in fact, a great press. It still is, but as I gained more experience with it I realized it's more of a hobby press rather than a workhorse.

It is obvious that for the price it says it all. If you want a good iron, buy an Insta Press. But if you are going to buy cheap Chinese material, it will be useless if your pan is industrial or homemade. There are very low quality vinyl or DTF materials that do not last at all, they fall off in the first wash. In CDMX there are hundreds and hundreds of vinyl and DTF stores, many with low quality but others with higher qualities, which makes good work last. The good quality of a vinyl is what really matters, the iron itself is the least important.
@NekoPrints
@NekoPrints 9 месяцев назад
Even the best quality vinyl will always peel if it's not pressed with enough pressure or even heat distribution. I use Siser, and in my opinion, it's by far one of the best brands for heat transfer vinyl. It will peel if there isn't enough pressure.

So sorry to hear! I had problems with HTV coming off in the past, but strangely enough, it works well with DTF and is great with sublimation. What are you pressing?
