I replaced my pad with a silicone mat. I trimmed the corners to have it sit inside of the outline of the platen. It gives it a firmer press. I have noticed with a few of the RU-vidrs suggest this and I find it works great.

@Jana-TheCraftyGambler
@Jana-TheCraftyGambler Год назад
@@lizdugaro1748 there are a few of them. If you type in “Silicone mat” in the search bar you will come up with a few. I’m not seeing the exact one I got but any 15”x15” mat will work. Just not the wool one. It’s silicone. And the good thing about it, is that you can use a pair of scissors to trim up the edges so it fits inside the bottom plate. On the HTVRONT, the bottom plate is raised slightly, so you have to trim it down slightly. Hope this helps. One thing I did discover tho, is when I was trying to make some ceramic coasters that are ready for sublimation. I discovered that I was getting very uneven results. I went thru a box of 12 and only a few came out perfect. I found that if I put a 10” round I got from the Dollar Tree. I outline the round with the coasters I messed up and put the coasters in the middle that I was pressing, it worked like a charm! They all came out beautiful. I have a traditional clamshell heatpress and it’s in the garage but I haven’t tried them on it yet.

So glad you showed hoodies on this. XXL are a pain to press!!! Even on its side the arms of the XXL are huge and just a pain. If this had a swing away this would be amazing. Everyone brings up the pressure the pressures the easy part! The space between the heat platen is the part that’s the pain about this thing. It’s great aside from that one big problem.
@NekoPrints
@NekoPrints 5 месяцев назад
I agree! The spillout from the hoodie itself just stops it from closing at times. Also the pressure issue sucks and can get annoying. But ultimately, It is possible to increase.

Just got this press myself can’t wait to use it!! I think the pressure and the clearance problems are really the only downfalls from what I’ve watched and heard about so far. This is more of a luxury press then your regular clamp down with more clearance and being able to adjust the pressure. But at the end of the day the press comes with a good amount of features and is beginner friendly in my opinion. Overall I feel you’re getting a good press for a solid price it’s just more about the luxury of the press to me 🤷🏾‍♂️
@NekoPrints
@NekoPrints Год назад
Its a great press for sure. The pressure hasn't really been a problem for me. It sucks yea not be able to control it, but its definitely got its place in the heatpress game. I do think for the price, its a definite bang for your buck. I LOVE the fact that it heats up so quick! 😁
@Blondie7676
@Blondie7676 9 месяцев назад
It definitely sucks not being able to control the pressure. Sure if you only plan on doing shirts. But I make over 50 different different blanks. And for this press it’s useless. I’m going back to my swing arm. I only bought this for a 2nd one for my business. Bad decision for sure.

Awesome job. I love my HTVRONT Auto Press. It has worked very well for me thus far. I ordered an extra mat from Amazon and for some reason, it was sent back and I got my refund. Great video. I’m looking to purchase one of these machines. Right now I’m using someone’s clam shell press and it doesn’t seem to regulate the temp correctly. I haven’t started doing shirts yet. Right now I’m doing sublimation on felt air fresheners and I think the pressure I’ve used is too much as they seem to flatten. And the neoprene can koozies flatten even more. I kept loosening the knob on this machine but the digital read out just keeps saying 5P which I have interpreted to mean 5 lbs. so I think it’s time to purchase something of my own and take this monster back to it’s owner. Thank you again for a great video.

Hey dude thanks for the content, I love that it is usually 10 mins or less. Makes it real easy to consume! I have some questions, if you can help that would be great! I am about to start a small business 10-20 t shirts a week and durability and ease of use is really important to me would you recommend: 1. DTF as an approach or heat transfer paper 2. This press with a pillow for now before I upgrade 3. What DTF printer would you suggest on a budget before upgrading? Thanks dude! video liked and channel subbed!
@NekoPrints
@NekoPrints Год назад
Glad you u enjoy and find it helpful! To answer your questions: 1. What kind of heat transfer paper? If it's ink jet transfer paper, I tend to stay away. DTF is where it's at. Heat transfer Vinyl is also really good. 2. If you're using it for a business, go with a more heavy duty press. It's better all around and provides better pressure. You can find one priced similarly to this one here: amzn.to/43MDLlN I made a video on it if you want to check it out. I'm also giving one away! 3. On a budget for a dtf printer, I'd say your best bet is to convert one. Otherwise you can check out this bundle: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/uninet-dtf-100-a3-sheet-printer-supply-bundle/?aff=36 Hope this helps!

@@NekoPrints I appreciate your insight Neko. Thanks! I have decided to like to say go for something slightly more heavy duty. I questioned if adding a pad would increase the pressure or if it just stops when it hits a specific force. The not so scientific approach was to place a thin 10x10 shipping scale on the drawer without the pad, it measured 126 lbs of down force. then place the scale on top of the pad and measured 106 lbs.. The final test was with two pads, the scale was about 1/16" from the platen, it measured 62 lbs. of force and didn't over drive the motor (it stopped after compress a small amount). Assuming this is driven by a DC motor, this makes sense and matches the torque curve. So it's counter intuitive, a 1/4" mat mat rather than a 3/8" mat may provide higher pressure than a thicker mat. as I said, not scientific, just observations. Thanks for the video.

I've done two so far and moving that heat press is a bear. It may not be good for it either. Do you think the HTVRont would meet my needs at a craft fair with the heat pillow? I use sublimation prints and the DTF prints. The DTF prints are the favs by my customers. Thanks.
@NekoPrints
@NekoPrints 10 месяцев назад
I actually thought about using it for craft fairs myself since I also have that same exact HPN press! It is light enough to carry, especially compared to the HPN one. So I have used it for both sublimation and DTF. Some people can't get it to work with DTF, but I have never had a problem. I just usually double-press and give a finishing post-press as well. That being said, I have a new press similar to this one coming really soon, which I'll be making a video on. It's the same size and everything, except with adjustable pressure. I''d say about a month or so before the video releases in case you want a second option 🙂

Yes it will! I use all the time to sublimate. But remember, Inkjet and sublimation are 2 completely different things. "inkjet sublimation" is usually just marketing for inkjet transfer paper.

No problem, and yes it has. When that's happened it's when I use wax paper or cookie sheets. They work with HTV, but with dtf or screen print transfers it sticks to the design and ruins it unfortunately. Stick to kraft paper it works great and is super cheap

try stretching the garment and making sure it's all flat prior to the second press. Also make sure you're using the appropriate heat and time when initially pressing. I usually use 320f for 20-30 seconds. The second press should also only be 4 or 5 seconds
