That’s a very helpful tip,, thanks🙏🏽 My pb is 42m , when I set the line around 50+, I stoped around 35m cuz equalization failure and sometimes unexplainable fear .

It's normal, get your buddy to pull up the line, and return the favour by pulling it up at the end of the session. Or pull it yourself if you don't mind spending the energy just before your dive. Good luck .

Excellent video and excellent point ! I teach the same as you and I often have to explain myself with that point with other teachers ! Thanks

Would be great to have a video about Freediving Bottom Turns. It's super important & there is only one video on RU-vid so I'd expect you to get quite some views on that one.

doing a dive that one is confident in doing is absolutely one of the best advice as the mental aspect is huge in freediving. however, how does one transition from being fully relaxed to being 'ready' for the turn at the bottom?
@freedivepassion9498
@freedivepassion9498 5 лет назад
Good question, this is a very important moment of the dive. Its the deepest point, and the switch from freefall to working your way back up. The turn is something that must be practiced and automated just like any other part of freediving, I also recommend setting an alarm 5m before the bottom, so you are ready for the turn.
@jercx
@jercx 5 лет назад
@@freedivepassion9498 so then set an alarm, but don't be anxious waiting for it and possibly worry about not hearing the alarm. i guess with practice, this should become automated. =)

hello there, what kind of rope is for the buoy?

I like to use static polyester braided rope. Sailing rope is the best

The pool sucks because there's always an "open line", there's a lot of space for excuses and opportunities for your ego to slowly kill you. That's why I started to pretend pool diving to be depth diving and choose the distance before the dive.

yes, I do something similar in the pool

@@freedivepassion9498 is this why you hate dynamic? bc its like an open line?

this is one of the most intresting things i stumbled upon recently i've only been doing DNF recently in the pool and the max attempts are nightmares but swimming a fixed distance i'm confident in doing are like relaxed and fun when i do that i focus on my technic and on being efficient but the max attempts (trying to make a new PB ) are a mess, anxiety and negative thoughts about if i could do x meters or y meters destroy my form, my streamline and my technic is all over the place
@freedivepassion9498
@freedivepassion9498 5 лет назад
@@zazugee I quite like the pool now. Because I approached it differently. Over 4 months I only did 2 max dives. I focused more on sprints, RV diving and long dives bit still only 75% of my max. This tool sway the stress and I began to look forward to having a good work out in the pool.
@zazugee
@zazugee 5 лет назад
@@freedivepassion9498 true. i like this approach , using dynamic to get better at CWT for example shoudnt be about making maxs but about training form and technics since i read about safety in freediving and specialy shallow water blackouts and since i dont have a buddy to watch over me in the pool, (i use it with other surface swimmers but i cant trust anyone to pay attention) so i leave pushing my limits to dry training like apnea walks and dry statics and the pool is precious time that should be used to learn relaxation and perfecting good form and technic

What is the "open line" means?
@freedivepassion9498
@freedivepassion9498 5 лет назад
I explained in the video. Its diving on a line deeper than you intend to go to.

How many dives are recommended to do per session? Can I do 30 dives to 20m in on a session?...10m, 30m ..number of dives
@freedivepassion9498
@freedivepassion9498 5 лет назад
I recommend tallying up the total depth that you do and not exceeding 160m-200m total per session. So 10 x 20m for example. Make sure you have the proper surface time between dives also.
@AdrienBeITube

"open line" means diving on a line deeper than you intend to go to. In summary, it creates anxiety and impacts both your performance and your relationship to freediving
