In Manipur, we eat fermented food regularly. The most common fermented foods we use are 1. Fermented fish, local name ngari. 2. fermented soybean called hawaijar. 3. Fermented bamboo shoot, local name soibum.

21:56 - when I first came to the US more than 13 years ago, I would get the slimy texture with yogurt made from store bought culture. Obviously this did not work for me. So on my first visit back to India, I brought my grandmothers culture which has been passed down and have not had this happen ever, even in the dead of winter.

One point I want to make is, I have seen people who have eliminated all those stuff which might be causing cancer, but still they developed cancer. So finally, I understood we need to enjoy life by following healthy lifestyle like more vegetables, exercise, and not debate much upon trivial things in life. Kindly make a podcast on why some people develop cancer and how to live with it. As we are seeing boom in cancer patients even after following healthy lifestyle. Thank you once again. Ramadan Kareem❤

Debunking all the health concerning, controversial , complicated myths in a way that we do not fall for marketing tricks that empty our pockets. Keeping our meal simple, home-cooked, with affordable ingredients , more vegetables , less rice , including curd / buttermilk makes our life sustainable.

This the most educational podcast I have seen in my life, I was so confused about what to buy,& what not, I threw out all alominum & nonstick potteries,✌️no regrets lol, but yes it's been very confusing about organic, GMOs, & sugar consumption. probiotics, gut friendly bacteria is on the hipe, oats, Kyle we are having debates about, also eggs with, or without yolk, butter or margarine, kito, or vegetarian, sourdough bread or wholemeal bread? I'm honestly replaning my diet, I try to stick to organic produce as much as I can, I don't have much choice as I live a small village, I eat pretty clean now, mostly vegetarian, only weakness I have is chocolates, puddings😢 coffee I have cut down on, most of my food is baked with o, or little olive oil. I would love to follow a low cholesterol, low sugar diet. Thank you so much once again I do love watching your videos as they are reliable, interesting, & educational.✌️🙏

Hard disagree on the aluminum thing. Cook some curry that is sour like Kadhi (which has yogurt) or Chole (which has tomato). If cooked in aluminum, the acidity/sourness of the dish will be lower than if cooked in earthenware or stainless steel. Aluminum is completely fine if you plan to deepfry.

I watched few podcasts and videos on his channel .. he is more inclined to modern science and supports almost all the developments in food. He kind of doesnt like traditional things, ayurveda etc etc Overall a good episode & the key is EVERYTHING IN MODERATION !

Oh what an eye opener! Though i belong category on only consuming what is good for health and point fingers on those who don't (who uses plastic containers/ non stick utensils/ packaged food etc) I always sidelined everywhere! I consumed everything over internet even by some medical practitioners, Since i got diagnosed with some autoimmune disorder followed by my miscarriages. I wanted to change my lifestyle and get all good back. Thanks for the session which is less spoken anywhere over internet ❤❤ Will try to understand and rewire my beliefs 🙏

Thank you Dr Pal and Krish Ashok, Greetings from London. Two lessons in this video, one is that macros matter and don’t worry about the nonsense in social media about carcinogens. Second is how to have a polite and informative discussion and actually listen to each other. Amazing stuff, kudos.

At 20.41 minutes you say Delhi and Chicago are at same latitude. Sorry Delhi 28.7N and Chicago 41.8N . Both have different fermenting climate. Texas and delhi climate and fermenter is same. Florida and califonia climate can be similar for same bacteria.

I just covered 22mins till now, enjoying it, but noticed one misinformation. Delhi and Chicago are not in the same latitude. Delhi is 28° north, whereas Chicago is around 40° north. Huge difference.

Can we please talk how pasture raised eggs and chicken vs regular caged chicken and eggs? Is it worth paying extra for pasture-raised?

Thank you so so much Dr Pal and Krishashok for this informative podcast. Dr Pal, kindly help us with demonstrating preparing this vegetable fermenting please. If Priya can demonstrate this for us, it would be huge help. Again, thank you all, keep inspiring us. God bless !!
