kinda worried i've been this type of troll at times... i know i've asked questions where i did want other people's opinions but at the same time i've stubborn about maintaining my own views and tend to become argumentative... especially when the person disagreeing with me is saying things that remind me of my spiritually abusive church i grew up in... i dont want to be an "argument troll" and i want to be able to dialogue but some stuff (like individual vs group related stuff which really affects ne due to trauma and fear of people, especially groups) starts to trigger my "i have to fight to protect myself" instinct and...its always overwhelming (especially the guilt/shame and constant overthinking every little thing about the argument after the fact). ive started trying to avoid conversations like this but i feel like i'll never get past this... thanks for making this video. helps me notice areas where i need to do better (even as my internal defenses scream at me that the consequences of backing down could be dangerous. ...like i said : fear of people...and fear that the group will swallow/absorb me and make me invisible if not altogether something else via "mind control") ....sorry if i shouldn't have said any of this. just felt like sharing my own experience as a possible "argument troll" that doesnt want to be one but also experiences frequent defensive "fight" responses in certain contexts. maybe some argument trolls experience the same thing? sorry about the times ive likely been the troll. hope i can do better...
