Great video. I like the idea of edge tamers. It's always good to see and learn what other people figure out for snow removal. Anything to make the task easier. I work as a grounds keeper for a campus and afterwards have to do my long driveway so the sooner and easier it is to get done all the better 👍
The R2 Edge Tamers are awesome, I've had mine for about 3 or 4 seasons now, saves me from digging up my gravel driveway. Much more cost effective than buying a snow plow, and no changeover required.
I bought my edge tamers on Vevor $42.99 for the pair. I've had mind for 2 years and no problem with them. just bought another pair for $39.99 for a friend, as a gift for his kubota. have a great day!
Hey Mitch, looks like a good dump of snow! I'm at only a bucket to move snow now too, I think you've sold me on the edge tamers. Stay warm buddy! 🚜🇺🇸🇨🇦🌴
Morning Mark😁I think if I had a cab like you I wouldn’t mind spending a little more time with the loader bucket and Edge Tamers. Have a great weekend😁👍🚜💨🍳
excellent idea - EDGE TAMERS. did not know these were commercially available. going out to buy them now. I have a snow blower (Meteor pull type - great unit) BUT still need a bucket to move snow away from buildings and other obstacles - EDGE TAMERS are going to be perfect.
Hummm I wonder if Jamie heard the Skid Steer comment 😉😳🤣🤣…note to self…🤣🤣. Great video Mitch 👍🏻. We’ve been getting mikd weather and rain here 😢, we need another big storm 👍🏻👍🏻. Have a great weekend 🙂🙋🏼♂️👍🏻😎🌞🍻
No not yet she hasn’t seen the video yet😂I do lots of notes to self nowadays🤪It was 0 F this morning I am glad I cleaned it up yesterday when it was 20 F🥶You have a great weekend too Luc😁👍🚜💨🍳🙋🏻♂️
2 things I'm gonna do next year on my BX. Take the belly mower off in winter, put the chains on I bought. Thanks for the video, just goes to show if it's not a race you ca still accomplish the task with the bucket.
Yep😁 more tractor fun! That was a lot of snow ⛄️ normally it doesn’t snow more than a few inches at a time but this year it has been crazy. Thanks for checking out the video🥶👍🚜💨🍳
Hi Mitch, great job with the mods on the edge tamers. Thanks for posting. I have the knock off set I purchased before seeing your set. I will pick up some 1/2" square rod to add the lip to my set. Then use the rubber pad. Very nice tip. 👍 Dan
Hey Mitch, all good points. I am one who will probably never have the edge tamers. If I do, I will make my own. You really got my attention when you were talking about backing into the pile without lifting the box blade as you lift. That is something that I do a lot of. I will now be much more careful and selective about how I do that. Thanks for sharing Mitch... and “keep it on the sunny side” 😊
Hey Gary I should have made my own too. I have the light material 60 inch bucket and I noticed I was already wearing out the back of the bucket on the bottom. So just got the Edge Tamers to fix the problem. I didn’t know that they were going to be so useful. I first saw the top link mount damage on Facebook and Good Works Tractors Channel and thought it was very interesting how it could break. I remembered when I was plowing snow with my suburban that lifting as you push was a lot easier on the suburban so I use the same method on my loader and 3 point. Thanks for checking out the video Have a great week 😁👍🚜💨🍳
Nice job, Mitch! We are a bit north of you, and got about 9 inches over the three days it snowed. I do have edge tamers for my bucket, but I manly use them when I am moving dirt around. They work great. I have a snow plow for my B2601, so I don't use the bucket very much in winter. I really like the plow and to be able to angle the plow blade makes all the difference and saves time! I am keeping it on the sunny side! Cheers!
Very sunny today Mike 😂👍your rear blade is pretty nice too. Do you like it I was thinking 🤔 a rear blade would work better than the box blade. With your driveway the snow plow is perfect 👍thanks for checking out the video Have a great weekend 😁👍🚜💨🍳
Thanks Sam 😁One snow day is fun but any more is just work😂👍You’re so close to 1K maybe by the end of this week it will happen. I’m sure you will get there soon. Thanks for checking out the video😁👍🚜💨🍳
I use them in the summer if I get a load of rock or sand so at the end I can put them on and not damage the lawn. Final cleanup with a rake and shovel like it was never there.😂Have a great weekend 😁👍🚜💨🍳
Morning Larry 😁Thanks. Maybe but a snowblower without a cab is not fun😂 I am still working on a mini excavator 🤪 so could take some time to get a new tractor with a cab and front blower💰💰Enjoy the sun ☀️ today 🥶👍🚜💨🍳
Hi Mitch, I really enjoyed the video. Colleen wants to know if you’re in Minnesota, but I just couldn’t remember. I think these implements are pretty handy for the bucket as I don’t think many people can afford the price of a huge snow pusher. Anyway, keep up the good work!
Thanks Edward 😁I am glad you liked it. Yes we are in Minnesota just north of Minneapolis. I agree it gets expensive when you add up all the different implements. Thanks for checking out the video and Have a great weekend 😁👍🚜💨🍳
I use my bucket as well but I don’t have the edge tamers. Do you use them all winter or just until you have a layer is snow and ice built up? That was a good amount of snow you were moving. Nice work!
Morning Rick 😁👍Yes I use float and when I turn I take it out of float and lift the bucket a little to give the front tires some weight for traction then put it back down in float to go straight again. 😁👍🚜💨🍳
