Don't go to a Thailand Island, Come Here Instead 

Discovered that place about one and a half years ago when I lived in pratumnak.. one of me and my girls favorite place for a getaway….. now we live only 30 minutes from there so we like to go and spend the day…

Cool beach 🏝️ on the peninsula! That’s great being only 10-15 minutes away, and that beach bar and restaurant with the tables directly on the sand in the shade under the big trees looks awesome. 10:18

Yes this beach area and Laem Mae Phim Beach are two of my favourite to jump on the motorbike to get away for 3-4 days out of Jomtien....

Great video as always Lucas! Thanks for digging into the area and presenting a very fine alternative to Island hopping. Very funny but Flora and Note were just on Koh Samet for a few days. I have to give props to Lan as well her casual look was great. Very cool Lan. I think this area could end up being another good source of customers for your design shop! Go get them!

It has many things being on the mainland that make your trip pleasant. I thought of going to the Marriott rayong but I was sidetracked. You picked a place that I still have interest in living. The beaches look fantastic and less hustle than pattaya. The only drawback is that there are no big malls or international supermarkets. You cannot have everything but it does attract me for the solitude and the beaches. I am still looking for a place in that area. In rayong you can easily go to a good beach whenever you like to. thanks for the video.

Retired! Don't Give Up; Lucas I have been watching your videos for three or more years now, you were my first subscribe, have messaged and chatted in the past. I am presently 19 videos into my channel of first 6 months in Chiang Mai learned so much from your content in the past and now learning more from your editing well done video, will be back in Thailand for good next month, will be hailing from Phrae Province. Had hope to meet you when i was in Pattaya last March but wasn't there long, have many videos to document my month long escape from the smoky season. Really hope in the future we get to meet and ride together.

Koh Samui has an airport, yes, but too expensive to use. Great alternative.

Another national park with a great beach a bit closer to Pattaya is Sai Kaew Beach about 30-40 minutes car ride. A bolt cost about 300 baht.

The water around there is much more polluted than if you just get a couple kilometers offshore on an island.

Absolutely nothing there on that beach apart from Rayong resort. Its over 2 km from there to the second place you went to near PM Resort. Even on Mae Rum Phueng beach you still need transport unless you stay near Nice beach hotel

Having a bridge as you say would make it so much easier and cause overcrowding and much less appetising so would not make for an ideal place to visit.

totally lost, haven't a clue where you are in this vid .23 years here and know Thailand well but don't know where you are now you mention koh samet I know you are south of fun town there are many interesting places there ,away from Pattaya ,all the way down to Sattahip

What's the sea water like? I've been to an island and the water was completely clear to where I could film underwater. The water in Jomtien is not clear. The clear water would be the draw for me.

hi Lucas great looking place/area and not far from where you live now. i'm guessing you got a hair cut recently could notice the tan line from where hair used to be. how's Lan's tooth situation going? visited the dentist the other day and it's gone from 2 to 3 teeth getting yanked. will still be looking into prices once i'm over there but starting to look like a plate instead of implants. or if i do implants my stay won't be as long as i want it to be. sorry for the long read. see you on the next one

Yes I will not go to Koh Samet because the Thais pay B40, the foreigner, B200. We don't do this to Thais in our countries.

Gave up on Thai beaches. Costa Rica's waterline is so superior and closer.
