I can’t reply with a pic, but yes the app will give full customization over the following: touch control. 4 EQ presets, and yes the ability to set the ambient / ANC level to your liking. App is out in 7-14 days!
What are good earbuds that are cheap, good quality and last longer (for workouts) I typed it twice in the live stream and you guys thought I was trolling... Anyway hopefully you can help me, thanks!
New Subscriber here and the reason I subscribed is simply because your videos are as honest as they come. No “smoke-blowing”, no “arm-twisting” and no “if I like/hate them, you should like/hate them” mentality. I’ve been in the earbud market for about a month now. I’ve watched reviews/unboxings, Top 5’s, Top 10’s, etc. on several manufacturers from Tronsmart, Mpow, Earfun, Soundpeats, etc., and this video right here on the Jlabs Epic Airs had helped me decide on the ones I want and that’s the Epic Airs. Thank you for making this video and looking forward to watching more from you. 😉👍
You’re making decisions hard out here for us! In this case, it’s a good thing. Was looking at the Tevis, but this might be swaying my opinion on where to pull the trigger. Thank you for the detailed reviews, El Jefe!!! 🖖🏾👽
Just subscribed! I appreciate you covering jlab products. I've been a fan of theirs since their second generation wired earphones and love people covering non mainstream options.
Been watching a bunch of earbud videos and picked these up at best buy today for 49 because of yours and another RU-vid's review! So far pretty happy with them!
5:26 Here's My List Of Features I Like In True Wireless Earbuds Listed From Most To Least Important 1. Secure Fit 2. Noise Isolation 3. Comfort 4. Sound 5. Battery Life I Have Tried 23 Pairs Of True Wireless Earbuds And Only 3 Have Stayed In My Ears So Secure Fit Is Definitely My #1 Feature I Have to Have.
Sweet I finally got the app and the adjustment fixes the issue with the ambient sound mode.. I'm honestly so impressed with these earbuds. Jlab is awesome... plus they did an update to improve call quality.. I've had no complaints. What up Jefe!!?
Been loving these reviews! Love the fact that you interact with/respond to everybody. Just curious, what is your opinion om the Soundpeats Truengine 3se?
One of the things I look for is volume control in a set of earbuds also touch controls longer battery life is always a plus. I didn’t hear you say anything about the volume control or touch controls on these. I love your channel I support you 100% I hope you have a good day see you in the next video.
These have FULL touch control and you can control EVERYTHING. Volume, Play/Pause, Skip Track, EQ, ANC, Ambient, Movie Mode, Answer/End Calls....everything.
You are the sole reason I purchased these headphones and I revisit this video to support my purchase to my friends. I always look forward to your videos and trust your opinion above ANYONE else. *disclaimer, I’m watching this video with these headphones and the music/movie mode makes your videos even better*
Thanks ElJefe for the informative video. I wish earbuds makers could concentrate on only three things: good sound, call quality and controls. Battery life isn't a big factor since an average number will use the buds continuously for no more than 3 hrs.
Some of fly long haul. We appreciate the long listening times! Also, battery life degrades with use. If we start with a 3 hour battery life earbud new, it’ll be just over an hour with 12-18mths of regular use.
Thank you for making these amazing videos. I always go to you for review advice and I am pumped to get these earbuds for myself. I love how you reviews are always honest and non biased. I can go to this channel and know the info I'm getting is true and well tested. Thank you so much and well wishes to you.
Thanks for a great review man!!! I have never had a pair with ANC (or tried one) so I have not experienced the feeling they provide, but still think it is impressive that in a feature that is so "hot", they are at Apple's level. For me sound is the key factor in earbuds. Thanks for keeping it real!!!
Well I guess I'm going to be adding these to the collection. I'm really impressed with the battery life, and including foam tips is a big bonus. When looking at TWS, my biggest concern is comfort. I've been in Zoom meetings that lasted over 2 hours, and if my ears start to hurt, we've got a problem. Second thing I need is good mics. If I can't be heard clearly, I need to find something else. If they can get the app to include your suggestions, these might become my favorites, but I'll reserve judgement until everything is released.
My first and important list in the TWS features are SQ, then Comfortness.. Cause Im using TWS for my daily workout, like gym and running. Your channel are always be my first choice for information about TWS, and all of my TWS Arsenal Collection are based on your channel guidance. My first TWS is 1more Stylish and its still accompany me until now when i go work out in the gym, only have some problem with their O Hooks M size, cause its not that solid anymore. My 2nd TWS are 1more ANC, also bought that cause of your channel. Now looks like im gonna buy this one too. Hopefully it can rock and bang my head since i love rock and hardcore kind of songs for my workout routine.. Cheers bro, keep up the good work 🤙🏻
Greetings El Jefe! Just found your channel while researching budget/midrange ANC In-Ears. Fantastic content! Very pleasant reviews with all the information one wants to know while compact video lenght. Nice job. To your question its more of an checklist containing of: great ANC, great comfort, good audio. Though a question to you as you are so far the only one that has all three Earbuds tested that I currently end up after research. The thing is, I am very sensitive to noises and pressure in ears due to autism and after some failed trials with non ANC headphones for public transit I am looking currently at the Edifier TWS NB2, JLAB Epic Air ANC and the 1MORE True Wireless ANC. So considering that good ANC is medically important as is comfortable fit for longer times and well the obvious love for music so some good audio quality is important, which of the three would you recommend in this situation? As I do much sport a tight fit/not falling out is important. Also my ears seem to be smaller than average so stem designs like the NB2 and Epic Air ANC could be better than the 1More as the build size is not bulky at one spot. The budget is about 100€ and location germany so the NB2 are currently the easiest to get and cheapest and the Epic Air ANC with shipping from USA maybe above budget so I am a bit overwhelmed of what to get.. Wish you the very best and excited for your new content while I go through all the previous vids. Cheers :)
I’ve been a fan of the lineup as well. Got the air executives because of your review. But what it lacked, it looks like this pair made those changes. Will you do a follow up video now that the app is out?
I bought the air executive after your review and absolutely loved them. I just lost a bud and was looking for a pair to replace them! Glad I came across this! Thanks again
Love the review. For me It's bass first. Wireless charging was second but now i have both micro and type-c wireless charging adapters so now i can charge ones like the fills and any other brands wireless.
Just got these for $45 from Best Buy, I already own the Buds plus and the Buds Live, and I must tell u, I see why El Efe rank these as # 1, the sound quality is on par with the Galaxy Buds Plus and pretty decent ANC and the battery is crazy....a major win for sure, JLab is gonna be major players in 2021
After owning perhaps 7 pairs of these I'm appalled at Jlabs quality control. To have to return pair after pair that 1) Won't connect 2) Won't charge 3) Won't reset 4) Are unstable connection. 5) ANC and Ambient mode are wonky--most all pairs are weak in this department. To their defense Jlab customer service has been patient with me-- But look on other videos where many people have the same problems. IF these worked all the time and performed like the one single pair I have that's good then I'd highly recommend these. But one working pair out of 7-8 pairs? Sigh.
Thank you for the review, Jeff! I have two questions: 1) "I have been informed by JLAB that microphone performance was not at the quality level they expected and it is being addressed and fixed as I type this." - is it safe to preorder them now as they won't be released until JLab fix all things or it would be better to wait for some time when JLab will fix the mic and then place the order? 2) I am slightly disappointed that they don't offer aptX codec support (Qualcomm chip). Isn't this the best option to implement in case of sound quality? At least for Android users. Because the sound quality is the most important thing to me.
1. They assured me it was being addressed so I'm pretty sure they won't be shipping units from this early batch. But I give no guarantees as I DO NOT work for nor do I represent JLAB Audio. You assume all risk as you would when buying any other true wireless earbuds. 2. People put far too much value into aptX codec. 99.9% can't hear the difference. So no, I'm not disappointed at all.
Max, the mic improvement will come via a firmware update via the app. essentially, it has been fixed but we're waiting on apple/google to load the app into their respective stores which usually takes 7-14 days. We submitted on Tuesday morning.
I preordered mine and they are arriving in two days. I have the Icons and the Gos already and have been pleased with their performance. Accidentally had them in my pocket while swimming and they still work. Going to like all the new features.
Had these for almost half a year now, still work great even after many drops on hard concrete (with buds in case). Going to upgrade to the galaxy buds + tho, just saw ur vid much more confident in that decision. I like to sleep with earbuds in often, I’m not a huge fan of the stems. Happy to hold onto these if the galaxy buds+ don’t pan out.
I can't say I dig the quality on the calls, but that could have been fixed by now. From just looking around and reading, looks like Jlab has some serious bang for buck. That battery life is beast. I hardly ever use NC so can fully enjoy that batter in the buds. Also, great touch on them including foams in the package. That's almost not heard of. I use silicon where needed but don't like it. Most important feature(s) on tws buds are the battery and sound. Comfort is there too, but if they don't sound good and fit like a glove, they're not worth much to me. Very informative vid, and cheers
I bought these after watching your review of these and I'm glad I did. The cloud ear tips are absolutely the best! I wish the box came with more of these. Thanks for video
@@ELJefeReviews omg and a reply in 1 minute 😲 in your video you asked what we look for in ear buds. Mine was under $100 with anc and very long battery life.
JLab is great! I purchased their wireless Icon, your review helped that decision. Unfortunately after about a year and a half the auto connect feature failed. It wasn't due to a defect but rather the large silicone tips I prefer, suddenly prevented the pins from making contact. So they would not charge and worse not auto-connect when the case was opened. Thanks to #jlab 2 year warranty I returned then and explained what was happening. I just received a coupon code in an email today in the amount of the Icon. This brings me back to you for your review on their new ANC ear buds. Thanks for giving to us straight. You asked what the most important feature was, the first things is sound quality, JLab has this covered, their signature sound is just the way I like to jam. I'm not so sure about the cloud foam, as I prefer the seal from the silicone tips. For me, it just has better low end. But I will definitely try the foam ones again, based on your recommendation. I am excited about the wireless charging case as well as the C3 Sound for calls. The Icons picked up way too much background noise and was pretty useless in crowds/noisy situations...very sensitive mics. Appreciate you bruh. Keep it up.
I have those, they were a pain in the ass to get set up, wear and use. After I downloaded their app, updated them through it, disabled the annoying touch controls (except for "tap right bud to pause), never use the weird modes, picked the best equalizer setting for me, an used the blue memory foam earbuds (the only ones that sort of stay in), they're "okay". But I expected better than okay for $126. I paid $18 for some Soundbot SB-221 over the ear-behind the head earphones (not buds) and I get DAYS of battery life, superb ease of use, and AMAZING sound out of those! Only problem with them is they aren't great for warm weather, but fall & winter they are my preference. I also got some $30 no-name horse collar from Amazon with wired earbuds that blows the sound if the JLABS out if the water. But my giant "horse neck" broke the collar.
Super excited for these earbuds. I have been looking for a review since the announcement email😁. Also for priority on earbuds I’m kind of picky but I need reasonable comfort with great connection and loud heavy bass sound. And good touch controls are a bonus. Also el jefe, is there something wrong with the case? The light was spazzing out and I’m not sure if that was suppose to happen or not. Thanks
Man I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for taking the time to put this awesome vid! Do you think these have better anc than the Apollo bold and soundpeats t2?
Thank you! I think you should check out my latest Top 5 ANC under $100 video. All 3 of these are included. -> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-riBWAxCRtH4.html
My thing I look for mostly is 1) sound clarity with good bass at the same time and 2) call clarity on your end with good quality hearing them on the other end of the call as well
Love the videos i have been watching yours and Gamesky's videos 24/7 sometimes up until 3 am lol Wondering what you recommend with CVC 8.0 1. ANC & CVC 8.0 with ambient sound 2. Comfort 3. Sound 4. controls & app
I just brought the JLab air go they are loud and lots of bass but then again I have a iPhone and I love they have touch control and dual connect for 29.99 you can’t beat these finally someone is reviewed these they sound very nice JLab air go are my second pair of JLab true wireless earbuds I love there 3 equal setting JLab is the kind of cheap true wireless earbuds man can’t go wrong with JLab man they listen to there fans and improve
Call quality is king for me. When I am out and about, ensuring I can be understood is key. Though I haven't yet purchased tw ear buds yet, having something extra to ensure they don't fall out will also be important.
Main features I look for in TWS earbuds: ANC and call quality (with and without background/ambient noise). I find that many ANC earbuds don't handle background noise during calls well. Note that this is what I look for on earbuds only. For bluetooth headphones, I only care about ANC; call quality (with or without background sound) isn't an issue for me. (I use the Sony WH1000-XM3 all day so that is my baseline for judging earbud ANC.)
To answer your question, something I really like is buttons. Touch controls can be accidentally touched, and it’s ambiguous if the earbuds registered your touch (my experience with touch controls are from the KZ Z2s) So I really like the Soundpeats Truengine SE. And it’s kind of sad to see the industry is going completely towards touch controls.
Dam thorough review dude. I like those buds. My Must haves - Sub $100 price, control everything with touch or button controls, minimum 8 hours talk time, to be able to use them independently, and prefer EarHook style What's the IP rating of these new Jlabs though?
Awesome breakdown on these buds. Been looking for some good true wireless buds that feature exceptional voice pickup and quality for talking with clients, and a pair of buds that can double as good wireless music or podcast buds. I'll be picking these up for sure. Thanks so much for the review and breakdown!
This is a very old video. I strongly recommend watching my latest video with 5 options under $100. The top 2 are easily superior to these Jlab. -> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uqFARurDeI4.html
Jefe, great video. First priority is comfort, second is sound quality. On another note, I am looking for good truly wireless earbuds w/ambient enhancement for my father-in-law. These and the Jlab Executive Air look good. Do you have any other suggestions?
been waitin for this review but I did not find the previous version to be comfortable to me, its just ear fatiguing so i think ill go for the anc sport version BTW Thanks a lot bro JEFE. nice review!!
For TWS, the number 1 for me would be stable connectivity. There are a lot that would come close like in 2020, it's gotta be bluetooth 5.0 and if it doesn't have volume control and dual connect, it's a no. Mic also has to be decent. But for choosing which bud I would buy, it's gotta be El Jefe and/or Gamesky approved and it's gotta be something you consider in the top 5 or 10 for its price point
I'm fairly new to ear buds. This is my second pair. Your review is unbelievably accuate. I thought I was having issues with the mic quality until I heard your call session in this review. Purchased on Black Friday 2020. I was thinking of returning them. Please help if you can. I'm looking for ear buds with good mic quality for calls, good volume, and good music quality (bass). Oh, and the best news is I really can't justify paying over $60. I've read a lot of positive reviews of these JLab buds. My only gripe is not having the ability to use them for calling is an extreme let down. People barley hear me and complain of too much background noise. I wish I would of seen your review first. Can you point me to another option?
Great honest review, just bought mine yesterday. First set wouldn't charge but after an exchange I was good to go after a couple hours of charging. This is my first set of wireless ear buds and didn't know what to expect. I noticed them pausing alot when I was doing yard work today. The ambient noise? Is that an adjustment with the ANC? Thanks for any info.
I bought the Jlab executive for $50 sale at Best Buy which is the same design but not all the features and battery, but solid alternative if you don’t have $100 bucks to spare, only thing negative is the foam tips only lasted a month for me after daily use. They get dirty and start to rip apart no matter if you clean your ears constantly.
just used a warranty claim to get these. Thanks for the video. Been a fan of Jlab for 2 years now. always my go to for the 10 dollar basic pair and also liked my previous anc headset.
Thanks for the review I have finally decided on these buds, after weeks of looking at reviews. Just wished I have found your review sooner. Just one question I do a very active job what are they like for staying securing in your ear and not falling out? I think the blue foam would help in that case???
Eljeffe. Love your reviews. After watching your review I just got back from Best Buy after returning the galaxy buds live. What a joke that POS was. I pre-ordered the Jlab epic air. Thank you
Received mine yesterday and I'm already loving it. Sound quality is fabulous. They released the ios version of the app and not Android which is disappointing. Should be coming out soon
@@satchiratnam9231 I'm waiting for android as well. The app does work well on iOS and there are some good features and controls. I just want to access both before I make the update video.
Will you be doing a review on the Epic Air Sport ANC?! Would love to get your opinion before choosing one of the 2. Great videos by the way, you got a new sub!
Terrific review! These look like just what I'm looking for. I am an audiophile big time and I've also had trouble finding buds thar fit. So sound quality is first, fit second, battery life third. Thsnks for the honesty.
To be clear, these would not be considered an "audiophile" earbud by any means. These have a much more dynamic and fun sound compared to anything that would be used for critical listening.
Not a fair comparison by any means. The unique hybrid dual-driver setup on the L2P gives it a distinct advantage over most other TWS on the market. So sound quality is an easy win for L2P.
Hey, great vid! I’m now thinking of getting the Sport version of these! Would you recommend them over Anker Soundcore Spirit X2? I will be using in the gym ya see and want a pair with ear hooks 😀
I would. The JLAB Epic Air Sport give you ANC, Ambient, and access to the app for adjustments. The Spirit X2 are not bad but they don't offer you the same value.
I'd say my must haves in some kind of order are Audio quality for listening Comfort Battery life. I actually bought the air icons based on the review here and from another person and haven't been too disappointed yet since I mostly use them to listen to podcasts at work or music when I cut grass or are sitting around
@@ELJefeReviews hey el jefe is the anc as good as the airpod pros? Also i really value phone calls. Hoping they fix this so i can go ahead and buy these
Dear el jefe, in these black friday days I have been struggeling to find out wich wireless earbuds would be the best for a decent price right now and I have anded wit 2 pairs but I don't know wich one out of these would be the best, it's between the "jlab epic air anc" and the "samsung galaxy buds plus", wich one of these would you recommend over the other one ? And if you have even another pair you would think that would be even better than could you also recommend them plsss, I've been looking arround for a long time now and found that now would be the best time of the year to buy one. Already thank you in advance and I would love to get your recommendation because then I know I have a good pair to hook up with, I really love your vids man, keep up the great work 🔥
Wow these seem absolutely awesome. I was thinking of getting the liberty air 2s but may have to reconsider 🤔 Thanks for bringing these to my attention el jefe 😎👍
I have not made the video. But right now the JLAB Epic Air ANC are the better choice. Especially 50% at Best Buy. ➡️www.bestbuy.com/site/jlab-audio-epic-air-anc-true-wireless-earbuds-black/6426503.p?skuId=6426503
Depends on what important to you. For me, I value sound quality over everything and the Liberty Air 2 still win for that. It's close but a win is a win. Aside from that, the Epic Air ANC are the better value. Greatly improved battery life, increased volume, low-latency mode, along with both ANC and Ambient modes.
These look good!! I love JLab the quality for price is rediculous. The one thing I look for is ease of use, charging, styling and quality of course. It hard to tell as far as comfort before buying them
Hey, Nice review. I notice there are 2 different designs for the JLab Audio JBuds Air ANC True Wireless Earbuds.. I'm seeing the one without a tail. They also give you the ring around the earbud to make it stay in place.
@@ELJefeReviews HI, Cheers for the reply. May I ask which one do you prefer? The one with the tail or the one without? As for me, I'm more into strong bass, battery life and stay in my ear. I have ear wax that basically lubricant the earbud and it slips out lol. I find it oddly fascinating seeing it for the first time.
Reached out to JLab and they sent me a link to send in some old earbuds, speakers, etc and get 30% off of my purchase. Doesn't matter if they work or not. Just send an email to their support team. An already reasonable price for the features got even better! Can't wait to get my Epic Air Sport ANC.
I would look elsewhere if that's important to you. This is an old video and much better products have been released in the 2 years since this video dropped. I'd start here -> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xuo8k0v7tHI.html
These sounds really really impressive!! For the price they are amazing.. And to your question about whats most important for me in a pair of TWS earbuds are sound quality loudness/bass & comfort second & ambient mode come third & ANC I won't use alot but it's a nice to have..
Hey Jefe, call quality is my number one, maybe make a vid that shows the ranking for the very best for this, in true wireless. Second is good battery life, very essential with calling.
This is the first one I'm truly interested in, in a minute (in actually getting that is). May need to snag myself some at some point 😄🤘🏼 great review man 💯👌🏼✌🏼
@@ELJefeReviews yeah absolutely 99 bucks for ANC and solid performance? If they can get app up and firmware possibly for white noise ambient mode? Oof, this could be a complete steal..
My top priority for buying TWS is: 1. Comfort and Fit 2. Sound Signature 3. Call Quality 4. Battery Life (my true top priority is dual BT Connect but I guess it is still far to reality) lols
