Your face Lisa when Mark talks naughty.Mark and his Chinese meals he should buy shares in them. Enjoy that food looks delicious.
We love a pork pie. Melton Mowbray if possible but we have it for supper with baked beans and a packet of plain crisps. It was something my Yorkshire mother in law started giving me over 50 years ago. And we still live a porky tea. Yes we have it hot
I would have bought a pork pie. It would have kept a day or two and been lovely with some chutney. They are well worth the money if you eat a quarter each and really meaty! I love pork pie and pickles! If I could have reached my hand in and got one I would have! Thank you for your lovely video.
Melton Mowbray Pork pies are eaten cold and you're right , because of the jelly . Stilton cheese is made just up the road in Cropwell Bishop and yes , Mark was right , Pedigree Petfoods are made in Melton .
@@NorthernersonTour No , the village of Cropwell Bishop where the Stilton dairy is , is about twenty minutes from Melton just off the A616 toward Nottingham .
You have to think about the by September 1st most shopsstart putting therer displays in so on November 1st all Christmas things come out on to the shelfs
Guys this is my hometown!! I can’t believe your in Melton 🤣 I bet your home now! Shame I didn’t bump into you I’m always around town! How would you rate it?
Things are tough here now it use to be very busy half the shops have closed down since covid. Tuesday and Saturday are bustling you should come back on one of them days and il come say hello ☺️
Ten Foot is another one for ya especially where I'm from in North Lincolnshire. The more I watch your videos, the more me n the wife can relate to you too ! She calls me Scooby when I sniff the good food smells ! 😂😂
OMG my fave pies, what a taste playground! And i like Soons too as long as its clean! Pork pies are best cold but i have made them and they are nice warm😋
Next time you are back up North you need to try the Chinese in Davenport Stockport called 203 The Lane. Family style eating so they keep filling up the platters, eat as much as you like, great food. You’d love it Mark. X
I saw Chicco's little booster seat, being used as a little bed for him (the grey one with the white paws) - I used to have that exact booster seat (colour and all) in my car for my Henry, when he was a pup! I don't know how all of those shops in Melton Mowbray (except maybe the Pork Pie shop) pay their rent and make a living......hopefully more people are around and shopping at other times!

Hi guys, you mentioned you hadnt seen a Greggs in Melton, you walked past one when you came out of the charity shop, 7.08 in your video. all the best from Nick in Wolsingham. P.S You eat port pies cold, 100%
Love your vlog in Melton Mowbray, it’s years since I’ve been, i remember it was on a Market day and better weather when i last went. Speaking of funny smells, when I first moved to Newark in Nottinghamshire, I noticed a funny smell in the air, I asked a local where it was coming from? They said it was from The sugar factory, apparently it’s from the sugar beat, when it goes through the cooking process. I don’t smell it every day, I think it depends which direction the wind is blowing. If you ever visit Nottingham, lookout for the Ye Old Trip To Jerusalem built in 1189. The Brew house yard museum just down by the side of pub is also well worth a visit. Paul in Newark x x
@NorthernersonTour while you're in Leicestershire, you might like to visit Ashby Del A Zouch. It's a nice market town similar to Melton Mowbray. Happy travels, Lisa Mark and Chico, who is a star. I look forward to your next vlog x x x
Mmmm pie 🥧 had one of my guys go there once and I got him to buy us a tray of em for the lads tea 😂… love a market town glad the Spoons were better and no skiddies either 😂😂😂😂 probably a litmus for the state of the area eh x how many takeaways 😮 a Mark heaven 😂❤ Pork pies according to my Yorkshireman mate are supposed to be served hot and warmed up, there we go… but a pet food factory and a pork pie factory together 🤔 and I’m always buying bits from a hardware store too mark 😉👍 lovely vlog guys gagging for a Chinese now!!! 🤤🤤🤤x JP
hi Mark i think you will find that the Melton Mowbray pork pies would have been dearer 170 yrs ago when you consider wages weren't as high back then compared to todays salary so the pies would seem very expensive back then and not many people would have been able to afford one as they would have been considered a luxury or a special treat
Lisa have you lost weight? You look really comfortable on that bike suit's you. I have a raliegh step through and love it, you'll be able to use it here and abroad and go so much further. Great video both x That Chinese looked gorgeous, i love black been.

Another brilliant vlog, Melton Mowbray definitely got plenty going for it. Where did you get the coasters from with your logo on? They look the d’s b’s.
Where I live there used to be a placed called hillers who made pork pies if you got there on the right day you could get them straight out of the ovens thejelly still very warm lovely sadly now shut dawn love your blogs think mark is so dry funny on sea .

Wow, haven't beeen there for years, great episode again. The pork pies are amazing but should be eaten cold. What is this new law that the UK is trying too bring in concerning people who live in their motor homes ? Take care & have fun♥
I love those pork pies, well I should say I love the pastry, I don't eat meat but my dogs share the meat lol. That's when I can afford the pork pies. Xx ooh no pork pie cold definitely xx
