Why do you say that the constant hates wagstaff?

This is just some random thought, but what if the reason why the constant is so keen on hunting down Wanda is because her motive is a lot more…dangerous to the constant per say. Hear me out… The Constant KNOWS Wagstaff is out there somewhere, actively using a projection for his own science needs. But he hasn’t done anything actively…bad per say that would mess with the Constant I believe. Sure, he’s brought a monster ( A spider in Webber’s rework trailer ) to the real world, but he hasn’t tried to actively mess with the flow on how the Constant work. He’s just that annoying fly whose just there and won’t go away while you’re trying to eat. Wanda on the other hand is actively messing with the Constant. Mainly how the Constant’s time works, out running her own death and starting new timelines at will. Imagine if she were to have full control and power over that ability and shared it with others? I would be kinda upset if my own world got messed up and would want her dead as soon as possible. I don’t know this sounds like a crack head theory the more I think about it. Feel free to shoot me down anyone.

@@The_Dev_175 very good theory honestly I had a even crazier thought my theory is this what if Wanda ISNT human what if Wanda is one of them! A shadow that not only dared to leave the constant permanently but found a way to become HUMAN the idea came from three things 1) Wanda is seemingly even more of an expert in the shadow arts than even Maxwell using it to build her time altering clocks something a shadow would probably be a expert in doing and shown through her proficiency with shadow weaponry 2)she is VERY keenly aware of shadows presence and where they are even if she can't SEE them probably by sensing they're presence 3)at the end when she's in the constant her shadow briefly becomes a hand showing that this transformation is probably not perfect or the constant is messing with it This also would explain how the shadows homed in on her everywhere she went they would probably have trouble tracking a human but one of they're own would stick out like a sore thumb Edit: side note that might even explain her rapid aging her body isn't natural and it's breaking down at a excelerated rate pardon my bad writing

Time works differently in the constant and connected dimensions, it seems to be related to the throne

@@daemonflayer Forge was" betrayed" and is trying to stand up to and destroy the throne, the throne itself appears to grant power, but in exchange, binds them? (The throne is powerful, and seems to have manipulative effects related to "Them", due to how mysterious "They" are it's hard to say what those effects exactly are)

The only different timelines are the constant and earth, she is merely hopping around in them not traveling between them(not THEM) but that’s just a theory and theory

He's probably alluding to the ancients and to some extent himself. The ancients' over reliance on shadow magic ultimately became their downfall and ruin. Maxwell's prolonged stay in the Nightmare throne left him fragile and literally bound to the constant, reliant on the shadows to do his bidding for him

Good point but you can see a red ax on a tree stump indicating person that lives in the cabin is most likely a lumberjack .And also he mentions about a were beaver and who do we know that can turn into a beaver ,and has an ax ,and loves cutting trees .so I don’t think it’s her cabin because she doesn’t have gramophone in her house but The cabin has gramophone and a ax is outside on the tree stump. Were Beaver was spotted as we can see in the map and most likely Walter was at woodie’s home not Wanda’s home.

I assume at that point using her watches litterally brought her to that point time, by which I mean she became the age that she would have been at that point. But after using the broken watch, those two things became separated, which is why they dont impact her that way ingame.

My guess is that she bargained with the shadow powers for forbidden knowledge, learned how to make her youth clock and her teleport clocks, and has been running from the shadows since. But her teleport clocks interfere with the youth-restoring clock

I think that she just had an extra special clock that let her move to where she would be if nothing had happened to her. It would make sense for this to be a good strategy knowing the Constant could otherwise just look all through where she had been before, and it stops her from ending up in a womb.

@@briishcabbage568 gameplay wise, she has 2 teleportation clocks- one takes her to fixed coordinates, the other teleports her to a place she was some time earlier- the one she uses to get in the streets is the latter, I guess, while the teleport in the open plains is the former?

I think its more a price mechanic, she is using forces beyond mortal knowledge and that comes with a cost, to escape her fate it costs her youth but she found a way to cheat that too

it's also a confirmation that the methus puzzle is still a thing (even if we had the confirmation that the being inside the moon is call methus)

I agree. I find wes one of the best in lore too because he ended up in the constant helping everyone including that guy who knows abot shadows, leaving more unanswered questions.

You kidding? This is possibly one of the worst characters in terms of lore. 0 actual backstory, writing or prior presence in the lore, but still is imposed onto the story as if being significant? And apparently quite powerful as well? This is a classic example of a Mary Sue. If they had actually had some build up in the story for her before being added like they did with Wagstaff that'd be one thing, but...

I don't get it? Why is Walter's quote for Wanda like that? Are her hands different or strange? Is he referring to the various clocks always held by Wanda, even in Ghost form? Or... Is he referring to the shadow hand pretending to be Wanda's shadow, as seen in the trailer's end? To add more to the creepy factor, when Walter examines Wanda, he says something like "Don't mind me, I'm just checking if you are still there." or something like that. 🤪

No, Walter tells stories, one of them is about a clockmaker with a hook as hand. He wants to see if she has a hook hand

she says "Would making a deal with another mysterious entity be pushing my luck?" when examining a gestalt so yeah she managed to do timey wimey stuff because of some entity which is presumably some shadow creature or charlie considering there wouldnt have been a reason for the shadow creatures to chase her that much

@@lolpop7799 it’s likely she made a deal with the constant to learn their power but at a cost of accelerated aging, she used the constants power to keep herself alive all these years and the constant wants to take her away for abusing the deal or something. That’s my take

Apparently one of her game mechanics is as she gets older the becomes more proficient in shadow magic to make up for her lost strength. probably near or past the abilities of maxwell
