Life per second should give temerity barrier but doesn't. The affix that guarantees overpower every 20s doesn't work in the pit. Items not working is my biggest grief with the game. How can casuals even play the game if they don't know half their stuff doesn't work how they think it does

This is one of the reasons I can't enjoy this game. The tooltips don't do what they say, putting a build together yourself without following someone who plays this game as a career will just lead to very surprising results. I just tried to respec my necro from golem to shadow mage without a build guide and even after going through hours of game mechanics videos on youtube and having good tempers and masterworking, the build was severely underpowered compared to my previous one. Going through the paragon board, reading through every glyph and every imbue was exhausting and I still managed to make a build significantly weaker to my other build with what appears to be much worse gear and paragon spenditure. Then you see videos like this where skills are bugged due to "double dipping" and they straight up don't work. I don't have time to spend time on something that has all these hidden mechanics where you're completely unclear about what's an upgrade due to hidden and inconsistent synergies.

After the patch it feels like we have another poison/dot issue. We ran a few pits last night and any spiders or hosts were absolutely melting our health globe within seconds.

I run a 4 ga soulbrand on my sorc and what I find interesting is that in the german version (which I am playing) it says "while THIS barrier exists you gain 20% damage reduction"

This may sound a little lame, but how is damage showing the [x] indicator when it is multiplicative (or no [x] when it's supposed to be additive, assumingly that is lol), but none of the other mechanics do that? LHC, CDR, DR etc should ALSO have an [x] PoE did that with simply expressing this by: - More = Multiplicative - Increased = Additive Will D4 ever get a system that is easy to read, understand and then calculate??? A start would be to hover my mouse over combat stats and it should give me a full breakdown of all sources.

I dig your passion for deep dives on gear and builds in general. I’d really like to see your take on the sorc issues with DPS and its inability to build anything with real power.

Glad I’m not the only one feeling extra squishy since the patch. My shadow minion Necro died soooo many times last night, like insta-ded, no clue how/why.

Suggestion, if you have their ear, ask them about putting in a training room with enemies that dmg (like testing thorn barb). Most importantly I want to theory craft and try different specs on my own but it's so expensive. Especially for the amount of options. Scrolls help but I'd love to try sillier stuff and really wanna try to make a lucky hit build.

The blood passive, when ever over healing reduce timer, also not work correctly. Done lots of test.

necro feels squishy for sure compared to other classes I have run this season in general. I only started playing this season in the last week so can't speak to earlier on. But in season 2 I felt like a good tank. Playing a sorc and rogue as well this season and I feel a lot tougher or at least hard to kill with those, and yes my barriers feel really bad.

I know you mainly focus on necro but could u look into free cast skills on druid not getting any extra scaling? For instance when i get a free cast of earth spike via natures fury i don't get scaling from thunder struck or adaptability i actually do more damage self casting than triggering

Does anything work correctly in this game?

I tried that Doombringer X-Fall Key Passive Build as well after hearing about Doombringer Buff. I dont know it feels not that good anymore since corpse explo has that low Lucky Hit

I started my first HC char (necro) made it to lvl 56 i think, found soulbrand during helltide, put it on, died to hell's chosen 3 minutes later. Coincidence? I THINK NOT

I use Temerity. I think that 80% is the "maximum" barrier it can provide. I reach that maximum barrier, but 3 potions or lots of other types of healing are required. One healing potion isn't enough. Temerity's barrier generation seems to work for me. If you test Temerity again, try drinking 2 or 3 healing potions and you should reach that maximum barrier. ("...a barrier UP TO 76%...")

Temerity still doesn't work with conceited or other barrier related things either. This thing has been broken since launch.

Geez Blizzard, those bugs are unbearable 😢. I thought about using Soulbrand for Chain Lightning lucky hit build for a second. This barrier gen bug, does it only apply to Necro? It felt like a pretty strong buff for Ice Armor.

yeah never saw any resason to use soul brand barrier is extra ehp but the gear pice could be a dr aspect instead or tyraels might. and just for 1 damage aspect the investment is not worth it also you loose tempers^^.

jeez... D4 has launched a year ago. how amazing that the game is still super incomplete and broken they still don't even offer an in-game description for dps/reductions/evasion mechanincs no matchmaking no match finder no market/auction house i agree that season4 has gone way better compared, but this doesn't mean the game is now good to go. D4 is just out of beta, there are so many things to change and fix dude we're living in 2024 not 1924. why do we have to go to the third-party website to trade and find for party members?

I always thought Damage reduction does not work on barrier anyways. Well...this is why I don't play d4 much anymore because of all the bugs.

Sounds like a future issue for Blizz devs. Future like season 7. What I find the absolute worst is that, besides people like me, (who like to read about builds and stats, know about this issue), there are so many players who like to make their own builds and don't know or hear about these issues and might not notice that it isn't working. Blizzard not fixing these issues means they are wasting peoples time.

Something doesn’t work? Shocking. Guess I’ll let someone discover a bug which is what all builds are based on and I’ll follow that, since we can’t depend on anything else as listed.

Isn’t there some DR cap with level differences. Your 50 levels over that bear, “flat”DR may already be capped (not from a legendary aspect)? Idk worth looking at. Or try the DR from shako, since it’s not an aspect like hardened bones idk

Well we can't really just expect things to be tested before release all of the sudden. these things are up to demigods like yourself to figure out years later and hopefully it gets fixed at some point.

When its all said and done, the only way to have fun D4 is to just not think! Load the game, pick toon, go fight, relax, DON'T THINK! I know people are so concerned about pit levels, but honestly it causes too much bs for a game. If it isn't fun I won't play. I quit Overwatch because I told my self when the hate for the game exceeds the love for it I'll quit....

Summerised in a word "Dissapointing" Or in a phrase "constantly amazed, never surprised" I'm amazed how many things are broken or slip past. They say they play test stuff... but with what makes it through constantly, I'm just disappointed. D4 is starting to go in a good direction, but they need to get on this rubbish and make stuff work like it says it should. double dipping, snaapshotting, mechanics not even working. I call them liars for saying they test stuff when they didn't even test the treasure goblin bag addition. They would have only had to kill a single treasure goblin to know it's dropping the wrong item power bags = Blizzard are just liars. It deflates any trying outside of the meta, because people play the meta as a lot of non meta stuff is just broken and Blizzard leaves it to people like you to test for them. I'm trying to stay positive about the game, but they keep disappointing me.

Every season I play I test if temerity finally works just to be disappointed. Not only the barrier amount generated, but also the barrier cap and what actually counts as healing.

Another thing. If you are a Necromancer and have paragon nodes, passives, etc that give you bonuses when you have no minions, having a pet active counts as a minion. It will invalidate them.

Why do necromancers have the most boring content creators 😢
