Hey guy who made that wiki page (yes it was hell) To answer your question. for some odd reason, the arrow refund is the ONLY effect that has a tier 1/2/3 version but rather than having all 3 variants appear as a minor, major, or best version, it just replaces itself Either way shouldnt matter since its a garbage effect : D
Thank you for your Suffering. Curious about the "Bug or Intended" of Implant Weakness. Because it doesnt seem to apply, not only against Bugs that already have a Weakness, but also Bugs that are neutral to an Element. I can see the Debuff but the Damage doesnt go up at all. For me it seems, its the Counterpart to Starcrusher, where it removes an Elemental Resistance, that has to be there in the first Place. F.e. i got two Cones by now, with double Implant Weakness Fresh. That would mean that in Multiplayer, the entire Group would deal 100% more Fresh Damage, wich would be too insane for just one Trinket.
Don't look down on a 10% damage boost man, especially not when you might be wanting to focus on farming a specific bug for the cones. A Loot Luck and Wolf Spider Damage Waffle would be a good farming trinket. Edit: So recent update made these 10% damage boosts eve stronger, so I am even more sure now that they shouldn't be looked down on.
Lootluck always gives 10%. Stuffed Insect, Trinket and Dissection Expert. So the 5% of a Black Ox in NG+1 become 35% on a Cone. I started at the Stonepile south of the Castle and went upwards through the South of the upper Yard to the Undershed and got around 6-7 Cones each Run. Also im pretty sure that Stuff like +15 Fresh Damage or Poison, pretty much everything that does a Set Amount of Damage, falls off more and more the higher NG+ you go and more HP the Enemys and you get. So always go for Stuff that does % Lifesteal is King, the 4% feels more like 40% when you have a Weapon on lvl 15.
Arrow Refund DOES increase in effectiveness depending on if it's a Crinkle, a Waffle, or a Cone. The wiki page for the waffle says Arrow Refund effects 20% of arrows, correspondent to the Crinkle's 10% and the Cone's 30%.
Importnant to note is that most of these things stack. Maybe you could do a follow up video on that topic =). I have a Cone with 2 Fresh Weakness implants and it does wonders
Something to note: you can get cones in NG+1 from the infected broodmother. I am in NG+1 and I have experienced about a 50% drop rate for cones on her. I am playing on mild, so idk if that affects the drop rates, but I can guarantee that black ox beetles aren't the only NG+1 source of cones.
I think you're right about that. The wiki has it at a 50/50/100% drop rate for ng+2/2/3. I think they mistyped it. Black Ox Beetles should still be the best way to get them on New Game +1
8:17 Even with the explosive fist and spore lord mutations for unarmed builds I do hope later on devs will make unarmed weapons for more damage. Something like brass knuckles or a more martial arts type weapons. Would also love to see either a nunchuck or bo staff type weapons, but just wishful thinking at the moment.
sizzle and gas guard on a waffle would be choice, then i can free up an inventory spot. Best Cone i found so far is boss damage, sour up best and stun. I use the sour axe all the time so its amazing.
Trav could I hypothetical become the minty master by getting mint best on a dagger and mint best, major, and minor on a cone, could this work on the other flavors too
From my brief testing, charge speed doesn't affect the staves but the sour specific one might. Could be a bug but that wouldn't be out of the ordinary for the devs that's for sure.
I got a pretty decent cone imo it has spicy damage up major, samurai and explosive resist I use that together with my coaltana to farm the broodmother boss in NG+1 where all the infused bugs have explosive attacks. The attack speed buff ist just awesome
So for an Archer the potentially best cone you can get is one with boss damage and then best and mid Archer damage if you're facing a bus and just for every other bug all three Archer damage
ok so, the way I would find the largest chance of you getting this, first off you have a 1 in 109 chance (0.009) of getting one of them, and being better you probably have a lower chance. That's just to get one of them, to get two of them your chance is even lower, I'm no genius but from what I've through of, you have a 0.0045 chance of getting 2. im not even going to try for 3
honestly bro i uninstalled grounded because of javamatic ng+1,, the bar was filled and i was waiting for it to finish and it didnt and i lost all that progress, i do think the game is fun but sometimes its just completely unfair.
The Javamatic is very easy in the early new games, use the sour axe, and get yourself a charm that adds sour damage or defense event attack, then throw on guard dog mutation and you’ll kill stuff in a couple hits
Right off the bat I'm telling you there's something you got wrong Blackox Beatles are not the only way to get science cones you can also get them from bosses I'll be there a little rehrer but I find that it's a lot easier to be the infected broodmother than everyone thinks and that's saying something
