Hi , my name is Arlene. I have suffered from depression and anxiety and it seems to be getting worse with me getting older. Never ever be afraid to talk to someone about depression. If you don’t want to talk to your mom at least try talking to a Paster or a therapist to get some of your feelings out. You might feel a lot better. Some times it may take a few sessions to get you to open up and talk to someone about why you feel depressed. If you aren’t sure then just talk to someone about this. It is to hard to understand by yourself and talking does help. Don’t ever give up on yourself because you deserve to be loved and happy just like everyone else. Just keep talking and don’t be surprised if you find someone else with the same problem. Just keep your head up and talk to anyone you feel comfortable with. Yes it does matter how old they you never stop worrying about them. I have 3 ages 36, 42 and 44 and I still worry about all of them. All day long everyday and I always will that's what a real mother does.. can't stop it either!!

I have never been embarressed when my mom kisses me or hugs me in front of my friends cause I don't care about what they think it is about what my mom thinks and I don't want her to think she is embarressing me. One of my friends actually remarked how lucky I am to have a mother who shows her affection to me, as his mother would never do that outside of their house.More kids need to understand that if your friends make fun of you for showing your love to your parents get rid of those friends cause they are not good friends(None of my friends have ever made fun of me for kissing my mother infront of them)

I walked beside my Son all of his 46 years, many of those were addiction years of alcohol, the morning of December 15th , 2022 I had no idea it was our LAST morning of coffee together, took him to his eye appointment for new glasses, he wanted to stop & buy his groceries, Beautiful Day, he put his food in the oven, smoke alarms went off, his food was burnt to a crisp, went into his room to tell him only to find 1/2 of his face gone & a gun in lap.....WHY WHY 😢😢 ADDICTION KILLS & MOMS ARE NEVER THE SAME & LEFT BROKEN

Since my son married his wife he has been distant and 7 years ago on Christmas Day he left my house and said I’m done. I have not heard from him in 7 years. I have tried to reach out to him many times, cell phone calls, emails, text messages, be has blocked me on all social media. I will never give up Hope that maybe one day he’ll remember what we always had, the bond between us was so strong. He’s my firstborn & only son, my my heart is broken. Within a month after he graduated from high school, (July 17, 2023) he shipped off to a different state to do basic training (for 12 weeks) in the ARMY!!! This is the beginning of his journey (he signed a 6 year contract) to become an ARMY RANGER❤ He graduated from his army basic training on September 27, 2023 in the TOP 10% OF HIS WHOLE CLASS, he earned a PROMOTION TO PRIVATE FIRST CLASS WHILE IN BASIC TRAINING (that’s a HUGE HONOR & ACCOMPLISHMENT to reach while only being in basic training), he was the LEADER OF HIS WHOLE PLATOON (the entire time in basic training minus one week), and received other OUTSTANDING HONOR AWARDS for SEVERAL OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS & TASKS!!! HE DONE ALL OF THIS AT ONLY 19 YEARS OLD❤️❤️❤️ So I am so proud of him that there are no words to completely describe, and my love for this AMAZING SON OF MINE IS BEYOND BELIEF NOW & ALWAYS❤️❤️❤️

I have a son my oldest child, he got married and I was cut off 6 yrs ago. Have not been able to have any contact with him soon after. We were very close never thought this would never happen. The marriage did not last a yr before Divorce I have been told once that happened he started to use drug’s and has not been able to stop since. He is a shadow of the the man he was I miss him so so much. My life always been around my children now I hear nothing from them. I don’t understand what has happen to our children of the baby boomers children seems like this is a normal thing now from from our children.
