How long Rachel pays according to this order is dependent upon how long it takes them to resolve the divorce. Think of it in terms of separation. Temporary orders set the terms of how people will live while moving towards the final hearing, especially when they can't agree. Who is going to live in the house? What is the support obligation for the kids? What are the custody and visitation arrangements? With my clients, I refer to them as "in the meantime" orders. In their final decree, she could possibly end up paying him less per month, more, a lump sum, or nothing at all. That is yet to be determined. That is what the attorneys will be fighting about over the next few months, but the short answer is, the longer they drag it out, the longer this temporary order raids her purse.
What successful physician can leave their practice and get on a reality show hoping to be picked? That should have been her first clue. An attorney being duped. You cannot make this stuff up.
He is not a successful physician. He is a chiropractor and they are not real doctors. They do not have to get an m.d. And see not authorized to practice medicine. The chiropractor field is very scammy almost like the “essential oils and alkaline water will heal everything” type of people.
I didnt get that he was a "preference" when she was on the show because she struggled with her decision. But you see that he's a chiropractor and still turned out to be a dusty. Not getting a prenup was huge mistake because he's deliberately not working to get her money.

My childhood neighbors taught me everybody needs a prenup. When the wife passed away her step kids sued the deceased lady’s estate (she had no prenup) to get her house and the step kids won over the lady’s biological kids bc her grown kids were older and she raised those step kids. It was crazy. Money and assets really bring out worst in people.

As an attorney, Rachel should have known to protect her assets since she had more to lose than her soon to be ex. Did she forget that marriage is a business first and foremost. Did she grow up among the clear people and thought because they included her before, she could trust all of them? Her ex’s allegedly yearly income is less than a fast food worker.
I think he’s under reporting what he makes or is intentionally turning down business so he can earn less. I would hired a PI to follow him and pose as a potential client to see if he would turn down the business and a forensic accountant to see if he’s hiding money.
It's not about a double standard. Bryan is a chiropractor. He has a MD and is a Doctor. He's not a stay at home husband so why does he need all that money. I understand that she may have to pay a one time settlement because he relocated his business for her but monthly support for a licensed doctor?....she might as well married a bus driver.
Temp spousal support should be for the duration of the marriage. They weren’t married that long so she should’ve gotten courts to give him a lump sum check and call it a day.
Cousin when I went through my divorce, my ex had to pay my bills like rent (even after he moved out) and a monthly allowance until we agreed on a permanent settlement. Once you finalize everything, then the temporary support stops and the permanent support begins!!!😎😂🥳

Most of the time “temporary spousal support” will last for half the number of years the couple were together. So if they were married four 48 months than her will get 24 mo the of spousal support.

They don’t want to push the prenup b/c they fear it will end the relationship, which ironically proves there are cracks in the relationship. Either it ends today and you pay nothing out, or you wait until it ends 5 years later and you pay $13k/month.
