@@RjZyonif it was pennies to them they should of just quit. 250k for 1 hour for a Ytuber, college professor, and a Tubi actress is still a lot of money for them. If it were pennies they also wouldn't be all over the internets blaming Al saying he is trying to get the show cancelled. Trust me, they will all miss that 250k for now. I'm sure they will all bounce back but it was quick, easy money that's not coming in anymore.
I work my ass off to the point of tears some days as a nurse just to clear 100k. I deal with ppl that curse at me, talk to me crazy, etc. give me 1k for 1 hr a day! Babyyyyyyyy
Nawl, I think when Dineva quit, that was the worse fumbled the bag moment I’d seen. Quiet as it’s kept, I think his departure is really what set the ball in motion. The ratings never recovered.
@@ToDoListChecklistFunky did not lose by leaving TGIF. Funky pulled his people over to his channel - making more money - not missing a beat. Claudia, Al, and Armon fumbled.
Meghan almost brought The View to a screeching halt. The six ladies (Whoopi, Joy, Meghan, Ana, Sara and Sunny) had a meeting with show producers, ABC executives and HR to get the problems sorted out and it turned into a shouting match. Later on Whoopi, Joy and Ana went to the ABC executives and told them it’s either Meghan or us. Meghan was let go shortly after.
I did not know that! I always thought it was telling Abby, Meghan’s alleged friend, chose to leave instead of fighting with her. Meghan must’ve been smoking something to think she was going to get the executives to push Sara out over her. That network loves Sara to the point they gave her her own show on GMA and when it flopped bought her right on back to The View. I knew Meghan wasn’t long for the show when she tried to over talk Sara and Sara checked her.
@btchnotme1587 Thank goodness. Meghan was everything that her father did not represent. She excused Trump all.day until he openly mocked her deceased father. Everything he did was fine until it impacted her. She is a mess.
@@AbracadabraBipipityBopotyBOO I forgot all about the show Sara had with Michael Strahan I enjoyed it..especially when Keke was brought on when Sara was on maternity leave… Sara came back with the quickness because Keke was becoming a fan favorite and Sara knew it..

The way I HOLLERED when you slapped your thighs!!! 😂😂😂 Cousin… listen… There is no way in hell I’m going to let some Avatars on my computer fuck up a 250k bag
Cousin it’s beyond ridiculous that these grown people at their big ages who did not have to be in the same space, didn’t live in the same city, failed to secure the bag acting like middle school children. I’m disgusted by them all! Don’t bring it back. Let’s just all move on. 😊
I don’t think they all ruined it. Honestly Armon ruined it. Claudia and Al have always hated each other but when it’s time to work they put on their fake smiles and did their job. Armon made it public. He burned a bridge on live tv!
Yes very unprofessional. And he makes it seem like they gave him no choice . He always claims we say hes messy unprovoked then he proves us right everytime
I didn't see the Armon episodes but it's pretty telling how QUICK the shit fell apart after he joined. It also seems like just because you *can* work w/ people you don't like, don't mean you should....it's not as likely to work long term bc you might butt heads after awhile and the relationships are too fickle. Joe Budden podcast had this problem. Fickle-ass friendships based mostly off clout
Claudia said previously that her and Al fell out about six months after TEAGIF started and that basically Funky was holding them together. Funky could break the tension between Al and Claudia. Once Funky left the building, that element was gone. This was bound to happen. I don’t even put a lot of blame on Armon because the roast was just the cherry on top.
Once again there a zillions of shows, people doing movies that don’t like one another and us as the viewers never know. All of them truly messed up…. That was Al’s main income….
Finally someone who is stating the obvious..how they let their disputes behind the camera mess up getting over 250k salary just to talk about celebrity gossip for 1 hour each day while they do it from anywhere in the world...is beyond me. Whatever they were going through..it was not that deep.
Remember Armon was working with Jason Lee and within a couple months they were beefin? I’m not saying Armon’s the problem, I’m saying keep your good eye on the trend lol.
Listen, lemme try and alchemize the situation. The fact that they can be so reckless and squander that disposable income for that petty ass work they were doing, THEY MUST ALL BE DOING REALLY WELL!! Living the hopes and dreams of the ancestors I guess
I believe all the issues on the job came with the 5-days a week salary negotiations. Funky said Claudia was doing some weird stuff behind the scenes, and that is why he had to depart. Al was ready to leave because he had the same issues with Claudia, but he didn't have a way to replace that paycheck. Al sat there like a professional and did his job. Did y'all notice how all of a sudden Al had Al of these new jobs? Al was planning his escape. Claudia was angry with Al and Funky over the salary negotiations, and she never got over that. I believe this is why Claudia told Tasha K that she was tired of working with "the gays." Armon is naturally messy, and Claudia wanted to complain to anyone and everybody who would listen. They became a nasty combo. Armon got into something that he should have stayed out of, and he poured gasoline on the fire. Here is what Claudia and Armon didn't understand: Do not mess with Al Reynolds. Rightfully, Al took his issues directly to HR and management. Unfortunately, Claudia and Armon gave Al the ammunition he needed. If you can believe the text messages Tasha K had, Claudia was trying to get rid of Al. Claudia reached Al gone. Tasha K showed that Claudia chunks not be trusted. She would say one thing and do another thing. The problem for Claudia is that you are not going to claw Al's back and not expect him to get his lick back. With Claudia's constant social media posts, Tasha K outing Claudia, and the video evidence of Claudia going after Al, production knew these people were past trying to worth things out. There is no trust between them. Management had no expectation that Claudia and Armon would be professional during the show's broadcast. They were a hostile work place risk, and Al doesn't play. The show had to be canceled. Claudia never should have talked to Tasha K, and Claudia should have stayed off social media.
Claudia stated she never said "the gays". She sent Tasha a text that ended in s and Tasha ran with it but failed to mention what she said and that TK said f+++s. Claudia said she uses curse words like MFs . The genius was talking to Tasha knowing she would dig her own hole even deeper. Funky had to check her statements awhile ago
Lets be real! The network probably wanted to get rid of the show. They got rid of all the other shows. They just used this situation as a means to an end.
Can I say something? I think people are underestimating what Armonn knew and didn’t know about the inner workings of the job. The way he read Al was mostly things a common viewer could see. Al stayed getting facts wrong, calling every celebrity friend, and pulling rank on Armonn from day one of him being a guest. Al demanded respect from Claudia and Armonn and never reciprocated in kind and would get so angry if the other hosts didn’t let him talk and would bulldoze over them to the point we viewers camped out in the comments asking what was wrong with him. Then, Al seemed to want to take the fame Dineva had and have the light shine on him. He wanted a segment all his own and when Armonn got a segment too, he got pissy. And don’t get me started on how he berated Claudia for being a cishet woman and then demanded she show deference to every LGBTQ+ issue. I felt bad for Claudia because Al and Funky would stay talking under her clothes saying she stank and was a whore and a bunch of other unkind things and she just had to sit there and smile. I really think the only person who’s really going to be hurt by this breakup is Al. That man had 50-11 jobs as if he needed every cent he could find to pay his bills while Claudia, Dineva, and Armonn all have consistent jobs they can fall back on. I do think Al’s desire to be a known personality is what helped bring down the demise of TGIF
I have taken all kinds of ish in my younger days for $25K a year. Those people weren't my friends. I left them and their drama every time I left the office! No way im fumbling the kind of money they were making on TEA-GIF.
They should've hired Dustin Ross and they'd still have a show that was growing. He's smart, edgy, funny, has corporate experience and is grown enough to appreciate the gift of TGIF (good pay, steady income, high visibility, minimal time expenditure and wonderful networking opportunities). A bad hire can sink a small business and change the chemistry for the worse.
Here is my two cents: Al Reynolds and Claudia were never that cool from jump/Funky Dineva leaving/Armons Roast/Claudia saying Al hates her on Carlos King = Tea G I F Cancellation
Claudia is the one who got Al on the show. He admitted this. Funky and Al were the gay besties who were talking about claudia behind her back. Armon and Claudia both say Al is ruining the show..but yall stay blaming Claudia
@@greeksun369 I agree i think they were friends but fame can strengthen a friendship or tear it to pieces i could see and I watched the show from the beginning. I don’t think they were that cool there were already fractures in their friendship
There emotions got in the way of the bag . And Rodney you are right we all have worked with someone we dont like and still got our money.. i know Funky sitting back like i tried to tell yall..
Tea GIF was a sinking ship once Funky left. The magic of the show was really their 3 personalities, so it would be difficult to recreate that again. Claudia seems as if she doesnt play well with others, so perhaps she can be a solo podcaster with guests
Hey cousin!!! I watched TEA-GIF almost every night. I honestly think all of them are messy! But I will say Al started making the the show unbearable to watch. So I can only imagine how he made his cohorts feel working with him. He would sit there with a straight face and not even try to pretend he wanted to be there. He would disagree with everything Claudia or Armon had to say...especially Armon. I'm not even a fan of Armon but I didn't like the way Al treated him. He always cut Claudia off and he's slightly misogynistic. So I actually believe everything Aromon said in the roast. Now should it have been said to the public not at all! But they are all too old for the messiness!
You are very correct ! I used to watch the show religiously and Al had a very nasty attitude! Cutting Claudia off all the time and he was also very nasty to Armon ; he also hardly researched or read up on a topic but will come with his stank ass know it all attitude to say some rubbish like he was stating facts! Of all of them he was the most boring
@nnekam6153 yup I agree! He was definitely boring. The most exciting thing about him was his laugh. So when he stopped doing that he brought nothing to the show!
It gives extremely ghetto. It gives, they left out NDA from the contract to not talk about things that are on- going behind the scenes. How the producers not review roasts? There’s no legal department? Talent is talent and talent gone do what they gone do, which why production is there to guide them. They must be amateurs.
How no one on that Zoom call didn’t cut Armon’s microphone that Zoom call is perplexing to me. Hell even CNN cut Joe and that other man’s microphone when it got too heated, and TGIF’s production team couldn’t even do that?!! 🤷🏿♀️ Make it make sense for me please!
As a Senior Paralegal who has worked in Ad/Marketing and Entertainment, EVERYTHING YOU SAID .... LMAO I wouldn't have EVER signed off on copy ( what we heard in Armond's roast) of that sort....I can only imagine they have no one doing legal reviews...😳
@dzejnalukovic9920 They handled the show over Zoom or an adjacent video teleconference service. If the problem was Armon’s roast, they could’ve easily cut his mic and pop on a commercial and claimed technical difficulties. That to me says ain’t no ways it was solely Armon’s fault. If anything that moment bought higher ratings to the show and more eyes, which the show needed once Funky Dineva left.
They had one job and couldn't do that! Rodney said it best, "know how to go to work and go home, i dont have to be friends with my coworkers." I worked for an accounting firm for over 14 years and i can count my true friends on 1 hand!
Al came off as awkward and fighting tons of demons. I was actually looking forward to seeing his evolution. Q opened his eyes to a new world and new possibilities in terms of self-acceptance.
The way Al got on that panel talking over everyone once Q left and alienated the remaining viewers was what made me cut the show off months ago. People blame Armonn, but Al was nasty to all the guest hosts except TS Madison in some type of false allegiance to Funky and that bought the show’s quality down to me.
This look is cute! Even cuter, hearing you talk about that first YT cheque! So humble and grateful, we love you Rodney! All three of the flop soul hosts could learn something from this
Agree. Armon didn’t even have his 90 days in and usually the newbie stays out of mess. But I guess not there. Most people would have been so happy to be paid $250,000 and would conduct themselves professionally.
Thank you!!! There’s no way Armaud collected all of that ish on Al in his short tenure. Clawfoot Jordan ran to Carlos, low key begging and pitching projects, all the while telling on herself. On one hand ppl using her, and yet she’s the one that picked Al. On one hand she picked the dry a$$ topics but she never had control over things. On one hand she didn’t know anything about what Armaud roast but yet she’s the one that use to do these roast with Jamie Fox and had the most tenure on flop soul. This has her hands all over it. Could Al have been messy and talking about her? Probably so. But who cares for $250k for 20 hrs a week? She needs to get her priorities straight. Claudia’s been fired from every job. She’ll forever be doing gig jobs with a tight bob.
Fox Soul was looking for a way out with these three (3) large salaries. Claudia Jordan said Fox Soul was looking to make cuts. When 'Cocktail with the 👑 Queens' was cancelled, Claudia Jordan, Armon Wiggins, and Al Reynolds would be next on the chopping block.
THEY WERE ALL ACTING FUNNY ON MIMS INCLUDING HIM. YOU HIT IT RIGHT ON THE MARK! All that money and they messed it up! Anytime we get together and we are making money we don’t know how to act!
Armon did all that talking about funky and he still fucked up that bag too. Guess he got to add all his videos back to you tube. He showed everyone that he can't be In those spaces for jobs like that
@@Rg11195 he had a whole lot to say about how funky was crazy to leave this job for RU-vid and not do both I never said he talked bad about funky but he sure did have a lot to say. Weirdo
They're all ungrateful... I pray hourly for a $250,000 salary. Rodney is right...They work one day a week for 6 or 7 hours via zoom.. There was nothing said that was worth losing that type of money. This is the behavior that you argue about on a low paying job. They don't have to see each other in the office and most people are great at being fake with coworkers for a couple of hours. There has to be something they're not telling us because this doesn't make sense.
I never really watched the show but I find it hard to believe that one individual could bring the entire show down within a matter of several weeks. Something tells me that the show was on thin ice beforehand.
Isn’t it ridiculous Rodney! Who fumbles a 250,000 bag. We always find a wAy to sabotage ourselves due lack of professionalism, disrespect and emotional immaturity. I’ve been at my job for 23 yrs and I work my a$$ off. Your doing something you love, working 5-8hrs a week; This job was a cake walk. I hope they were smart enough to stack there money.
Why y'all keep saying Armon wasn't at the job long enough to say all he said? The things he said were actually pretty obvious to viewers and it really doesn't take long to know who is and isn't messy at your new job.
ALL of them are accountable for the show being cancelled!! I have colleagues and not friends, some I’m more friendly with others, but at the end the day, we are colleagues!!!
You hit the nail on the head. It gives no HR and a lot of back and forth mess behind the scenes. I can’t believe they were getting paid to do so little yet they couldn’t even make that work.
I never forget when I first started my job which is in corporate America academia I met up with a HR representative and she wanted to know how I was feeling about my current position and she told me that anyone incorporate America or any job will know the players and dynamics with the institutional culture within two weeks of starting the job. Don't underestimate how smart Arman is or underestimate the mess he had to deal with in his first few days
Ding ding ding! People underestimate what Armon went through. Look at the comments! Even the people saw how Al disrespected Claudia and Armon daily. He showed no cough and got his comeuppance in that roast.
If anyone watched Carlos King’s The Next 15 back in 2016 which Claudia was the lead of a project, and Al actually was a friend of the show to Jennifer Williams, you will learn a lot about Claudia. She really doesn’t play well with others. The project started with 6 people, and at the end only she and Karamo was left. Her attitude sucks and the fact that she’s fallen out with so many people, it’s truly high time she tells herself it CAN’T be everybody else. She doesn’t know how to lead and not let her emotions get the best of her. Men already feel as if we’re too emotional, thus can’t hold positions of power, and Claudia has set women back 50 years. It’s embarrassing.
Yes the worst example of "MESSING UP A BAG" They all should feel very stupid at this point. This is ridiculous!!- Armon ruined it. Amon had this job for all of 30min. And screwed it up!!!!!
Chile if i'm making 250K a year I would go into anyone's office and let them call me everything but a child of God. After a few minutes of feeling like crap I'd check my bank account balance and would be like I'm good.
Lets not talk about the gigs they got due to the show..Al was always at the award shows representing Fox Soul on the red carpets and was probably getting money + additional recognition from that..smh...no telling what other gigs they were getting from being on the show.....smh
This is so high school how they treated each other in the end my Grandmother always said this “A hard head makes a soft behind “ in this case take this as a lesson learned 😮.
Since Claudia tried to call Al and he didn’t want to compromise with them. Al should have been let go he always was extra sensitive. Just a silly way to end a show. Including the way how fox soul not saying nothing .
I didn't like that panel last night. I had to log off cause some of the callers were exhausting!. For 250k I would have sat there and smiled through it all. Hell....I do it now for less!
Do you know how many people fake it at work for $19 per hr & they fumbled faking for $250,000 .. DONT NOBODY LIKE THEIR JOB but for $250,000 I’m sure going to stfu like I like it 🙄😐😂😂😂 granted they all got jobs but idgaf what I got I ain’t fumbling $250,000 for 2hours per day worth of work from my damn house 😂😂😂😂 Btw I feel like Claudia saw Armon and Al hanging out and called Armon w/ the “oh no you hanging out w/ Al & he be doing this, this, this” Armon had way too much tea for that short amount of time 🤷🏾♀️
Cousin, your humbleness, professionalism and your love to talk to us shines through. I remember coming across one of videos years ago (it was about Wendy Williams before the scandel- you were planning to go to New York and be in the audience). You were so much fun. It felt like we were having an in-person talk. I haven't missed a video since. I'm the Queen of replaying your old videos when you abandon us and go on vacation 😂.
So have I worked with people I couldn’t stand. But I would have to remind myself this, ‘ I may have to work with an azzhole, I don’t have to spend my free time with them/that person.’ That means when I’m off the clock, I don’t mess with the person. No lunch, no after work functions. But here’s the exception, if I must be in the same room during off work times ( you still must network). I would keep my distance, respectfully, from that person.
Cousin! You are absolutely right Armon wasn't there long enough to have that level of disdain for Al. In my opinion, Claudia use to throw subtle digs at Al and sometimes come off a bit Transphobic. Plus she do too much Karen’ish to be as pro-black as she claims. I believe her antics fueled the demise of the show. I think Al probably is a bit too-faced but not as extreme as they are making him out to be. But I don't know the man. Armon should have not gotten involved, at least on air.
Ironically they (along with Funky) would brag at the fact that they got paid a whole lot of money for talking hot topics and being there for just a few hours now all of them are gone, Claudia just got that mortgage so hopefully she can stay afloat because I’m sure that $250K cut is going to effect her finances.
@@somebodysmom818 That’s crazy, because regardless of a decline in ratings, that’s the only show on there that does numbers. I’ve been curious in the past and popped on to different programs and saw numbers below 100 viewers. TEAGIF was definitely pulling more than that.
Al and the producers clearly is the problem… Claudia has had so much success on that network so it’s weird of yall to blame her. Al looks like he been fighting demons for a long time and I hope he gets help.
Claudia and Armon did say their numbers were lower since Funky left and production told Armon they needed to go viral and to wake up the show...which he did bring attention to the show AFTER the drama.
Claudia is an eternal victim and a mean girl. Everyone wants to be black until its time to be black. Claudia has reverted back to her moms side of the family and is on her Karen poor me tour. Shes very smart and trying to get ahead of the story to paint a narrative because shes wrong. Shes an emotional coworker and that will never work with an ensemble cast. Claudia needs to learn to go to work and go home. She is the puppet master. Armons ink wasn't even dry on his contract for him to have all that venom. That was all Claudia. Claudia is on a world tour meanwhile Al (the victim in this mess) is just as quiet and has been professional and tactful. Claudia doing all that shes doing to try to get ahead of things and paint a picture of herself as the victim says a lot about her
Claudia looks like a black woman so she can't choose. I think the tension was so obvious behind the scenes that Armon peeped it immediately. Plus if Claudia allegedly told him info (she denied it) Armon would've told it ASAP after the cancellation
@@MT-hk9cp yeah o.k Claudia has enjoyed her privilege the entirety of her life and in this moment shes attempting to use it to her advantage yet again. But be blessed.
The behind the scenes crap and the little digs to each other was funny, and it worked. I still think Claudia wanted Funky and Al gone. They must not need the money.
They became complacent and yes, Al should be embarrassed. I don’t care what anyone says, Al was following Funky in the department of arrogance without the subscribers Funky has….Al’s unhappiness at his job really started to show when Funky left, a lot of times, you could tell Al had no clue of topics being discussed and that he didn’t do the work to find out. It didn’t look good when he called Funky on live and now his bestie is speaking for him on different platforms, I like Al, but he’s to old.
This part! Al is the Meghan McCain of TGIF. He let his arrogance and wannabe pedigree get him got and disrespected Claudia and Armon one too many times. Sadly, where Claudia tried to play nice, Armon came with an uzi and sprayed the hell out of Al’s arrogant behind. Al thought he was the heir apparent when Quentin left, and got a reality check real quick.
@@ToDoListChecklist yep, Al completely missed an opportunity to be a leader in his community, the way he dresses and looks polished could have catapulted him in the arena of a sophisticated gentleman reporter, everyone can’t be loud. Is it really fair to say the hosts "Fumbled The Bag"? If the Fox network wanted the show to succeed, they would have given it the time and attention it needed.
I’m sure the ratings was low and this just gave them the excuse to cut it now instead of waiting for their contracts to end…. Network Dont end 16:52 successful series over conflict especially when they don’t have any other programs
I definitely don't blame Funky for leaving because he's making money & building his own channel at the same time. HOWEVER... ain't no way I would be leaving or letting petty arguments mess up my bag.
