Donald Trump was right about Mewtwo. We don't want glitches. We like playing the vanilla. And Pikachu does NOT have a baby. Frankly, if you are adding in babies, where there _weren't_ babies before? That is not real.
This guy is simply the best, period. Hard to believe none of the other trump Impersonators even bother to get the adenoidal stopped-up nose thing. And the gruff growl. Bravo to this guy.
His genius is he realized the best way to satirize Trump is to have him talk about mundane things. Most impressions are exaggerations, but Trump is already such an over-the-top guy that you can't really exaggerate his persona.

That is not the original system, the founding fathers had envisioned, okay?" Entire video is great but this excerpt is just supreme. In a better universe somewhere, Trump said this word for word on television.

i love how youve captured the cadence between his mind losing the topic amidst his own BS, then re-aquiring some adjacent fragment of thought based on the last 3 words he heard himself say. its like the public speaking equivalent of an empty grocery bag wafting around in the breeze of traffic.
I can't believe the stamina that James Austin Johnson has. Probably the most spot-on impression of anyone I've ever heard and a very nuanced take on what his subject might actually say.
The voice is so on point it's almost scary. The facial expressions need just a little bit of work, but still, I would say his reputation as Best Trump Impersonation is well earned. Best of luck on SNL.
Tremendous, I mean possibly the best and funniest to just riff the exact same way. The way you move around too and the the intonations... good grief man impression envy is real!

this is far and away the best trump impression not only because he has the cadence down but just the nonsensical free-association griping on literally any subject... when he gets to "professor oak, he's not with our people, is he" i just lose it
Many people- including SNL alumni and more recent cast members have said that this impression may be the best, most accurate ever. EVER! Lorne saw this video and may have been the fastest scoop for a cast member ever. Had his wife move to NYC middle of the winter and pregnant. The guy has shown to be a huge talent. He’s gonna make the big bucks…
This impression is amazing. He does right what so many who try to impersonate trump do wrong, that is, he isn't mean spirited. Good impressions are always fun and lean into what is fun and charming about a person even if you don't like them. That's why Alec Baldwin's Trump isn't any good and Darryl Hammond's Trump is excellent.
