Thanks for putting parents in charge for what "their" children are exposed! Next maybe schools could teach kids to read, write, and learn math at grade level??
You would have to convince liberals who are in love with themselves and feel that they have all the answers that they've been approaching the education of children all wrong for the past 30 years in order to have children get a quality education, you're better off hoping that parents will start putting educational administrators feet to the fire.
Now this guy knows what he’s talking about! Parents should have full control of their kids and what they are learning in school. I think they need to reevaluate the school board
Whoa, most parents are not qualified to make that decision. Have a say yes, control no. Most people are idiots and putting a blanket statement like you did proves my point.
@@transgenderific1507 remember, all the knowledge you have, came from people who came before you. like parents!! that is your main problem, you think parents are dumb, when everything we know came from those before us, how arrogant! what did knowledge just somehow just pop in your head?

The key word here is "Representative", in other words, the person who represents another. School board members work for (represent) the parents and taxpayers, NOT the other way around, and NOT the government, unions, or huge cash donors... they are fighting like hell to prevent that from being enforced.
The unionization of public school teachers, and the outsize political, social and cultural influence that imparted to public teachers unions, was probably the largest single political mistake in the last 100 years of American history. It is an insidious ideological movement that has done more to undermine the political and social underpinnings of American free government and civil society than any other event I can imagine.

They keep calling it "Banned Books" when in reality it should be "Removed/Canceled Books" Donalds is THE MAN! He's going places! God bless him and his family!
Here is the definition of book banning from the First Amendment Encyclopedia: "Book banning, a form of censorship, occurs when private individuals, government officials, or organizations remove books from libraries, school reading lists, or bookstore shelves because they object to their content, ideas, or themes." If everyone had the authority to remove books from the library that they don't approve of, we would have no need of libraries.
@@almosthuman1398 parents are asking for the books to be removed from a school library, they can still be available at public libraries. Not a ban just a misrepresentation.
@@MountainsBreath A rose by any other name. Remember - only some parents are asking. Others are asking for the banned books to stay and to add more. Most kids cannot just go to the public library.
Yes it should. Because schools should be focused on reading, writing and math. They actually focused on that. The country wouldnt be at a 70% below 5 grade reading level.
This Donald's guy is continuously impressively outstanding for the urgency and truth he brings to these modern day problems we face as a nation. He should definitely be an example what the Republican party stands for.
High School Kids have always had a variety of books from different Authors including Urban fiction in the School libraries. I noticed if certain People published these Books that is the only time there is a hypocritical moment. Do Parents need to clean up the outside areas their Kids attend School at first if they want their Kids to be blind to life and reality in their own Neighborhoods. Getting on People's nerves with this extra, "because it is a certain Person I want this and that for my Kids is an understatement." I can see if some of these Authors went to Elementary Schools with Urban Fiction. These Kids are in the 10th, 11th, and 12th that get the privileges to start reading what they choose before College. The Parents should have spoken up about this reality centuries ago. Moving on.
When I was growing up parents had a HUGE input about what should or should not be in school. It was just a matter of respect between teachers, schools and parents.
This guy nailed it !Parents ,taxpayers are the one's who decide as the employer not the other way around , what on earth has happened to allow such a corrupt reversal that is messing up our kids!
And what age are you - Back when I was born in 1965 and up until about 1985 - Parents had absolutely no say in what their children were taught, it's only been in the last 20 years or that parents have been given any say - My own mother never went to a P&C meeting because she knew they were a waste of her time

It's a systemic infiltration, level by level, and surgical corruption of the Christian culture, society, and its core values by Luciferians. This stuff is trickling down through the finance industry, via first and foremost the laws, and then the news media, entertainment industry, social networks, and then finally down to grassroot programming of children. Since education is forced legally mandated by law parents certainly do have a right. If education wasn't forced and parents wouldn't be charged with a crime then they wouldn't
@@terryhull9724 Truancy is a thing, but yes at this time it is not because homeschooling is a capability.. but it wasn't always. @@terryhull9724 Also, as I re-read it.. he never said public education, just education.. and yes. There are absolutely rules to homeschooling set forth by the government so some things are legally mandated around education no matter WHERE you teach your children.
@@truthbetold1855 I am very familiar with those regulations. We homeschooled our children. We were free as to what we taught in everything from math to history. No real restrictions at all, but then again we live in a relatively homeschool friendly state. There is also a legal defense association that is very active in defending homeschool rights.
"... if the students don't feel safe..." is a way of putting a book in front of a student that the parents object to. Basically, subordination of parental authority.

Did God also hand-pick the man that told him to read page 59 of his book, who isn't supposed to be part of the debate, but allotted himself 30 seconds to explain that the Supreme court already ruled against parents rights to dictate which books are in public school libraries? Good news though, the Supreme Court is even more liberal now, and cares even less about what parents think their children should have access to.

I totally agree with you…. This is the most efficient way to stop the abuse and indoctrination of our children… they can pass laws and enact policy, but many would find ways around that. Cameras in the classrooms would be the best way to keep teachers honest and accountable.

School boards serve at the pleasure of the parents - at least that’s what it used to say. School boards used to be above administration. My mom served on a school board for over 15 years. She had books removed back in the 80’s
@@questioneverything609 Good luck with that. Every parent should be required to attend at least two or three a year and teaching materials ( reading materials, books etc ,) should be at the top of the list so parents parents can judge what is or is not appropriate.
@@da60586 I'm all in for the parents. I've went to the head of the school board as well as a couple of principals to protect my children. They can label me whatever they want. It won't frighten me in the least.
The problem with Board of Ed. Vs. Pico is that it discarded the fact that it is the government restricting the government. That is not a first amendment issue. The 1st amendment does not protect the government from restricting its own entities or their employees during the engagement with their duties. Yes. The Supreme Court can be wrong. That is why the dissents are published. Read the dissenting opinions (which are published precisely because opinions of the SCOTUS can be wrong and why dissent exists). If the library cannot remove a book as it would be a violation of the 1st amendment, they would likewise not be able to refuse a book from admission as it would violate the first amendment. Not would they be able to remove a book if it were graphitti’ed with explicit images. So, if you donated a Penthouse magazine, they would be required to display it.
The problem is, at it’s core, they’re trying to screw with kids before they have a developed understanding of what’s going on. So they don’t care about laws, rulings, or what right and wrong is. They’ll rationalize anything they need to in order to try an mentally get these kids in line with their ideologies. Hence why they don’t allow the Bible, but can have a grown man talking about giving head to a little kid. Don’t remember what book that was, but it was in the libraries of schools around the country.
Absolutely, the Supreme Court like science can be wrong. But when you've made a religion of your delusions like Democrats have, it's hard to distinguish institutions from deities.
He seems to know policies and what is right and wrong compared to the new supreme court justice who was appointed and voted based on her skin color and political views
Parents go to jail if they do not take their children to school then are told it's none of their business what the government does with them or tells them. Sounds kinda u American
Thank you for asking the tough questions to get the truth out. Wake up speak up and take action America while you still can. Let's hope and pray for everyone to see the right things for everyone not just themselves. My opinion
"They may not feel safe getting that book." "Okay well the majority of parents and kids don't feel safe having them there." "Okay well our feelings matter more as the superior class of people." That was basically the conversation.
She's implying the child fears their parents. This mindset is one of the biggest problems I've seen in these school controversies. The framing of parents being abusive and children needing protection from their own parents particularly when it comes to LGBT stuff. They make this frame that gay children are at this huge risk from parents and the safety net are these ideological teachers. That's what that woman was implying and its sick.
@@gomer921 this is their big excuse when they tell kids not to inform their parents about the "little meetings" they've been holding, or what the special "club" they were just invited to join is about. You saw the report about one school reading through every Google search made by the children, and inviting any child who entered an LGBT related search to join a club, which turned out to be a gay/trans club but with a name that hid the fact. The kids were 11 years old! Teachers were instructed and the children not to tell the parents about it. The teachers were given these little cards with something called pocket answers on them. So if any parents started digging and asking questions, they were given scripted answers. In another case a girl came home and told her mother she was called into a closed door meeting and was asked about her gender identity. The parent went to the school and wanted to know exactly what was said in that meeting and what it was for. She was told "only with your child's approval". Of course, there are also cases of School nurses giving puberty blockers to supposedly trans kids without informing parents. These are just some of the reasons for the new Florida bill of parental rights! Unfortunately it only covers preschool to third grade ages four through eight. That's still scary. 9 years old is too young to be put through this bizarre gauntlet of intense focus on a child's perception of gender. Also, I don't believe young children have "sexuality"- that's something projected on them by adults! I don't want anyone talking to my kids about that. I would certainly want my children to trust me enough to talk to me about it. But it's not the school's business.
Yet the Kids get materials to read from all kinds of Resources including Computers, Videos, Movies, and Music with just as much expletives as School Libraries all the time. I remember being in Junior High School and High School reading the two White Girls Elizabeth Wakefield and Jessica Wakefield. No One seemed to care how much money or who read that book with sex and other things in it. Like I stated when prejudice People think they can cast out who can write these Books that is a huge problem. The Schools and School libraries are not the only places High School Students go for reading materials. Now every Author should be banned because of Kids Parents. Yeah right. Monitor your Kids. Many Parents teach their Kids about reality in High School before College so that they are aware and prepared for this "ugly in denial" World.
Banning a book and deciding that a book is not appropriate for a school curriculum or library are two very different things. A Banned Book is one that is not made available to anybody. As I recall when I was a child there was a book called Tropic of Cancer that was among banned books. People broke the law to have that book in this country. On the other hand books that are inappropriate for school children or schools, any error should be on the side of caution. Those books are not banned books they are inappropriate books for children. If a parent feels that their children needs that book the parent can get that book and take the responsible for it. That is something many School Boards and School Employees are choosing to ignore. Parents have reached the point where where are they no longer want to be excluded from the sort of Education their children receive. It is largely a result of broken trust.
Gosh... With all those checks and balances, chain of command......how the heck did this incredible plethora of "age-inappropriate" (K thru high school) ever get approved?????? I know public libraries will likely have some "questionable" books (poss even by children'slibrarian) - but our schools????? That questionable material belongs at home (at discernment of parents) - never at public schools.
Byron Donalds is an excellent Congressman who always qualifies the way I believe. An American who presents strong fundamentals that are reasons to stay the course with conservative morals and values like he has learned. Thank you Mr Donalds!
Donald has stepped up with knowledge, courage and national commitment to his constituents and the American citizens. A true sevant of the people. We will be fortunate to hear and see more of his political footprint in coming legislative events.
Schools are too busy teaching children gender identity and sexual orientation ideology aka mental illness- in texas a teacher says 20 of her 32 4th grade students “came out” to her. Interestingly enough most students in this country are below grade level in reading and math. But they’re not being indoctrinated, right? Seems like parents NEED to be very involved in the curriculum… we all know youngsters are curious and that’s normal, but if we focus on sexual orientation at such a young age it will only confuse them. Most of those 20 newly LGBTQ 4th graders will end up damaged or even delusional young adults unable to determine what gender they are from one day to the next, and at the very least they will be unable to establish real emotional relationships with anyone. Schools need to stick with reading and math, it is not the place for ADULTS to share their ADULT beliefs on social/sexual ideology.
The evil that protects itself does plan to guilt, shame and coerce children into becoming meat puppets for suited pervs and "community" benefit. Suicide and homicide will explode from the betrayal of so called 'caring adults providing a safe space'. These minors need to be taught how to craft shanks and gut hogs to protect themselves from teachers..
Education is NOT free. Parents pay a lot for the education of their kids. Those who pay for something have the right to demand quality of that which they are paying for.
There's a simple way to deal with this. Those books which a large number of parents find objectionable could be put in a separate section of the library and the children would simply need a permission slip from their parent to read that book. A simple book by book, child by child system. Another idea might be to have age restrictions on certain books, such as this section of books is only allowed to 4th and 5th graders. And remember, this is just the school library. Parents who wish their child to have access to the banned books can probably find them at their local public library - something which is often forgotten in this internet age.
