@@unknowlence animatics are a series of drawn images as a storyboard for animation. it is step one of planning out an animation, so that the animators can work off of the animatic and polish the storyboards into a complete animation. an animator would have no idea what to do with a clipnote image that points at the screen for the word "you", so even thoguh it is technically a series of images, it does not fulfill the role of an animatic.
