I never liked Eco for my wash n go’s I always felt that it dried out my curls. Mielle and Mane choice are my go 2’s for that...But if I need a good sleek bun or ponytail bayyyybeeee Eco never lets me down.

I accidentally dropped a penny into my argan oil eco styler gel and forgot about it. A few days later I notice that the yellow gel had turned green. I remebered the penny and fished it out to find the penny suuuuuper clean and the shiniest I have ever seen a penny. THAT was the moment I stopped using eco styler period!

Eco Styler actually lied in their response though! The same Dow Chemical Co they referenced have safety / health warnings on their TEA. People need to stop taking company's word for it and do their OWN research

i love my eco styler. remember when everyone was saying coconut oil was not good, use olive oil. this is just a way to get the products to sell. because most natural hair products are so expensive and most times don't work for every hair type. but to each his own.

I just started using Kinky Curly leave-in & Gel its so good and smells great! And I love The Mane Choice 24K Gel its worth it.

Absolutely doing your own research and trusting your instincts about what's right for you is essential. With that I will say that Kinky Curly is my goto gel for all of the reasons that you stated. Once I learned how to work with it for my hair type I was golden ! I use a spray bottle with a little vegetable glycerine & water after applying it to make it not dry too hard and sticky. WNG magic ! I love Kinky Curly! So many people say it’s a light hold but honestly it always gives me a cast and holds well but it’s a bit pricey for the amount given but it’s worth it I’m half way through it and I’ve had it for almost 3 months but I’m not using it alone.

I just threw out all non-natural gels (WetLine & Eco) and went back to Kinky Curly. I’m just growing my hair back down to arm-pit-length and I’m not trying to lose my progress. I noticed my ends thinning out the last 2 washes, which for me equals the last 2 weeks. The ends were becoming dry, I thought it was the Arizona heat at first because we have a filter on the house, so I knew it wasn’t the water, then I did an assessment of my hair and my products and was able to pinpoint the cause as the gel. I did a clay wash to suck it all off of my hair, shampooed my scalp and just went back to my natural journey beginning products, the Kinky Curly line. My ends and hair are once again moist and healthy looking. I’m through trying to experiment with all this new stuff and if I’m honest with myself I don’t really need the super hold on my hair. The hold provided by natural gels/Kinky Curly more than get the job done. In addition to not giving me cancer or some other problems down the road. I apply this same philosophy to everything that goes in/on my body. Great vid!👍🏾💜

Loving your hair Alisha!♥️I dumped all of the eco styler gels that I had a few weeks ago. I never personally used any of them on my hair, however I used to use eco on my daughters' hair. I noticed that their edges were always thin and I always wondered why??!!! Then I thought to myself that it had to be the gel because that was the one product that I used consistently for years. I didn't even know that it was a thing that people were complaining about until recently and that's when it was confirmed in my mind! I'm only sharing my own experiences & by no means telling others to stop using it.

I haven’t watched any of the “Eco gel cancelled videos” but it amuses me that people get uptight about ingredients in hair/skin products as if they aren’t aware of the toxins the EPA allows in our air, water and food. Eco gel is the very least of our worries. I like the CRN and KCCC but both give me flakes no matter what I do, going to try the Mielle gel for my next wng. MC 24k gave me beautiful twist outs but irritated my scalp like crazy so I returned.

Glad I made the switch. I was never moved to try another gel and now Mane Choice got my life together with their gel...lol.

It is our job as black women to educate other other sister’s regarding any harm & to promote health. Any business will do and say anything for the sake of keeping the money flow coming. There are a number of natural black own products we should be supporting that there is no question of harm. This is not a matter of opinion. No difference of when someone smokes cigarettes & it makes them feel relaxed but they also know it causes cancer. All of I’m saying is there is plenty of options out there & yes eco styler should be canceled & I thank the sisters who put it out there to inform all us!

I personally like eco for hold but not for slicking my hair back it doesn't keep it slick it dries really hard and leaves a little area where I can slip my hand underneath . but what I do like about It makes my hair feel really soft and non frizzy

Eco style used to make my scalp hurt really really badly. No I was not putting it on my scalp before anyone tries to ask. The chemicals in there were really harmful. They’re deffo canceled for me.

What’s the difference between the mielle gels?

I stopped using Eco styler gels, Ampro gels, Softee gel & gels in general, because they flake in my hair after I wash it, not because of any of the chemicals. I now use cream/s for my twists, bantu knots & twistouts.

I can't use eco it gave me the worst allergic reaction and eczema flair up it took me 6 months before i was back to normal i recently tried wetline extreme gel with the green lid and so far no allergic reactions but ive only used it twice and the eco it took me a week of using it before i finally figured out i was allergic to it and it was what was causing my eczema flair up and making me sneeze and have itchyy and wateryburning eyes thank you for this video

Thank you for this video. I do use eco styler gel because I find it gives me the most hold, especially in humid weather. I also have the curl maker but I found it caused flaking. I'm sure it's more than likely me because I can get a bit overzealous when applying product lol.

Ive been itching for months and couldn’t figure out why, also started having breathing issues 🙃 im just now finding out about eco styler. Been using it for years. Never put two n two together that when I shave my head my scalp us good. When I grow my hair out I use the gel n my scalp is messed up with dryness. 🤦🏾‍♀️ now I know.

Love your picture quality! What camera do you use? I've never had an issue with Eco gel. I feel like maybe this was a new batch of millions of products that shipped out that was just simply that...a bad batch. Maybe they tried to change the ingredients but who knows.

I tried eco styling gel once and it dried out my 4c hair.......I simply use elasta care feels like silk gel with olive oil that soften and add shine and moisture to my hair.....

I didn’t realize my hair was weak around my hair line until I stopped using my eco styler when people said it was canceled and my edges are back ❤️

Eco gel damage my hair BADLY

I’ve tried most of these and none of them clump my curls 😢 The Camille Rose curlmaker I now use it under ECO just to use it up. Makes great ringlets in my hair. Such a waste of money on these so called “alternatives” and when it’s humid out 😂😂😂😂 my hair turns into one huge puff ball when using these other products.
