i was in the fast group. there was a white 600 that over took as all down craner curve at the start of the video, it wss bike with james elison on it, just to show how slow we are!
Have a 1098 for street was look for another track bike but felt maybe the 996 route was a worn out path, after seeing that you've renewed my faith in the classic race bike 996 all the way, Cheers!!!
i was using part worn 5 yr old metzla ractec, i only use second hand tyres from bsb superstock or supersport tyres. they work fine for me cant comment on diablos but they look nice best investment is too buy tyre warmers and use them all day even leaving them on at lunch time and put them on after your last session (not turned on) for half hour or so just so they cool down a bit slower.
Good to see the old stuff stomping all over new bikes out of corners, love the drop down Craner into the Old Hairpin. What tyres do you use? I'm about to replace some Dragon Supercorsa's (SC1 front, SC2 rear) on my SPS which lasted 7 trackdays, bit worn out now though.. Wondering whether to stick with them, go for the Diablo's or try something else.
@@cbandyxxx in your opinion is the 853 nice to ride and noticeable difference over the standard 748 . I’m still putting mine together .but and bolt build
@@delstephens7441 to tell you the truth I never rode it as a 748, I bought the bike over winter, then bought the 916 pistons and barrels, got bored in February so decided to build it there and then. It didn't run well on the standard chip, I think I got a chip from louig moto that fixed it. Sorry I can't remember but it was 20 yrs ago
Andy thought it must be photo shopped because it is Donnington and its sunny lol then remember how hard it was to try and keep up with you and the 'kids' lol nice video dude im trying to posts my Manx vids but their to long any idea,s ? If son facebook me cheers Richie .
there a great bike but high maintaince! you need a big wallet to run one, i couldn't afford to in the end. so bought a k6 and went 4 seconds a lap slower!
