You know K. Rool wanted revenge not only by kidnapping DK, but beating him and shooting him point blank multiple times right in front of you before this battle

I just love how K. Rool gets punched through the roof and chomped by sharks.

I miss the days where the nintendo bosses actually gave us a real fight. Yes it may be frustrating but it makes it so much more satisfying when you finally beat the boss

Everything about this boss battle is perfect. Intense, difficult yet elegantly manageable, and scored with some badass music. What an awesome game.

That part near the end of the fight where K Rool started turning invisible and appearing in different parts of the Flying Kroc made me think that we killed him and were now fighting his ghost

As a kid this fight was absolutely brutal. I died to every single attack K Rool has at least once, including the very last shot that comes after a long delay. That one... that one didn't feel too good.

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing K. Rools face right before he gets punched by Donkey. Love DKC2

At the beginning DK took that ass whoopin like a real G. And he still wanted the head up fade. 😉👍

Took me about 2 years to beat him. Probably the hardest boss I've ever fought in my life.

The Drama of seeing DK tied up and popping out during the battle to help you out with DK barrels was so great when I was playing as kid, really immersed me and then at the end when DK Breaks out and uppercuts him out of the ship was so hype, so satisfying and rewarding to see after finally beating him

Imagine them not thinking Dixie is not one of the most important characters enough to include her in smash bros when she STARRED in two DK games and was the one you used the most in both. Smh.

I think the Kaptain is kooler than the King. I wish we got him as an alt in Smash Ultimate

This was my childhood . I fucking loved every second of it at 7 years old and still at 33. This battle is ingrained in my memory. They need another DKC *WITH* K. Rool and the Kremlings!!!

Good Times. Also damn freakin hard. and then to find out you had to fight him AGAIN once you beat all the hard as hell lost world levels....,gaaaaaaaaah!

I love how Donkey Kong just punched and knocked K. Rool off the mountain after breaking out of the ropes when Donkey Kong could have done that in the beginning. However, it seems like K. Rool was thinking something like "you little Kong's can never defeat me" while Donkey Kong broke out of the ropes like he was saying "I can't take this anymore, I'm not going to be a coward anymore, you're dead K. Rool."

I gotta have more money to save us.

I had to remember to jump after his gun backfires! I remember this being tough to start but easier as you get his ammo patterns, But the Lost World fight was meh! I guess after having seen most of the patterns you get used to his attacks.
