@Mike Hawk Actually, you fight him on an airship, but the cutscene shows K.Rool falling all the way down to the coast in front of the island that the airship was flying over.

Gotta fling him into the blast zones like in Super Smash Bros. This ain't stamina mode.

@El Jefe It's funny how Captain K. Rool was getting up at 3:27 like he was probably thinking "you Kongs are too small and too weak to defeat me" while Donkey Kong breaks out of the ropes like he was saying "I can't take this anymore, I've had enough of you trying to kill Diddy and Dixie." Otherwise Donkey should have just broke out of the ropes from the beginning to knock Captain K. Rool out of the airship unless it was taking time for him to break out.

@@afriendofbean it's assumed every time DK drops down before he breaks out that he's trying to break out of the ropes. I like how in smash he's exactly the same, difficult to KO unless you meteor him or do a fair bit of damage to him

@@adscott27 Yes I can assume he's trying to break out every time he lowers down but he's too late because every time Kaptain K. Rool gets up off the floor, DK's eyes widen like he's saying "I'm too late and I'm not close enough to break out."

Especially compared to the first game final boss. I just decided to watch this out of nostalgia but I'm shocked at how the bouncing and swirling cannonballs were shot. How the hell did we play this as kids?! Looking back, I'm surprised I ever beat it.

Shes kind of useful when he shoots out the things that slow you down or invert your controls because she can glide, but other than that shes pretty useless

I bought a copy of the game in the weekend. It's my first playthrough too. I haven't yet made it this far though. I'm currently on the Rattle Battle level. I imagine I will die a lot when I eventually reach this boss.

Rool is probably thinking "you little Kongs are too small and too weak to defeat me" while Donkey Kong is breaking out of the ropes like he's saying "I can't take this anymore" and punched and knocked him off the cliff. Of course, Donkey Kong could have done that before Kaptain K. Rool started fighting Diddy and Dixie but I guess he was too scared in the beginning and decided not to be a coward or it was taking time for him to break out of the ropes.

@@adscott27 Yes, it might be the same alligator where he wears a different disguise and after his first defeat on the first game, he didn't really die but just got knocked out. Otherwise maybe it's a different family of alligators where the first alligator was a king on the first game, the second alligator was a Kaptain, and the third was a scientist.
