Music video by Donna Summer performing This Time I Know It's for Real (from VH1 Presents Live & More Encore!). (C) 1999 Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment vevo.ly/P2vWS2
I don't think Donna Summer ever sang a note that was pitchy or off key! She was perfect in every way. I cried for hours when she passed and I still miss her. I was a dedicated fan starting in 1976 when I first heard her voice.
Like Streisand, she was growing “older” incredibly gracefully. She maintained her appeal through the decades. A real classic; classy lady. Gone too soon...
@@TedNoahFlorida, The OP is clearly a kid. This Time I Know It's For Real didn't bring her well into the 90s lol. If that's the case her only 1 studio album then 1991's Mistaken Identity wouldn't have been such a big flop which unfortunately it was a flop. Not only that but she kept bouncing from one record label to the next throughout the latter half of her career. She was irrelevant throughout the 90s until she died.
She was such a great performer. So graceful. So beautiful. Didn't need any key changes or saturation of effects on her voice. Such a seamless and flawless singer. The world (Me included) lost something great when it lost her.
So good to see the audience enjoy the performance, focus on the stage, dance and clap. These days everyone would be standing still with their phones recording for social media updates.
Absolutely love this super talented lady. Sings like an angel, radiates class and was as gorgeous as ever throughout her whole career. Miss her. She was my crush since I was 12 years old
I’m a bit young for Donna Summer but know many of her songs from what was probably a best of album in the car in the 90’s when I was about 10. Just come across this and wow, insanely good live. Doesn’t get any better than this.
Donna Summer was just so cool. Her vibe here is just everything even as an older reserved performer at this point in her career! I’ll always love her and cherish her music! 🎶❤️🎹
I wish more younger people knew who Donna Summer was. I got to meet Donna when I was 8 or 9 at a NY concert on her Crayons tour and I remember it being an incredible show, and it was the album of this special that taught me all her songs for all the times my mom played it in the car, so I was the weird kid that was somehow into disco. Looking back now it’s hard to think of singers with as gifted and powerful a voice as she had.
She was 51 Because the VH1 thing was done 1999... And not like the other legends, with drugs or alcohol.... She aged beautifully and her range of notes never wavered.... I'm a 67 guy 6'5" and I have sadness still 10 years on her passing....
Our singers from the 70's are the best!!! Live voices!! (Unlike now all lipsynching!!). They're the real deal! The audience is ever kinder!! 💝🌼💝 (CANADA) 💝🌼💝
Peter Webb from Sydney, Donna Summer what an absolute legend, in the top three of all female singing artists, such a great range and such a pure clear voice,
One of the greatest singer performers, ever, a true star, when you compare singers like Adele to this woman,it's like the difference between a tacky bauble and a rare diamond.
I've just been watching the video for this song and it's so incredible seeing Donna do it for real on stage. What a sad loss to music her premature passing is. RIP Miss Summer.
