I got one of the first 450, swedish made. She's......12 or 13 years old. Bucked tonnes of wood. Fun to fell smaller tree! Always puts a smile on my face it pulls it's heart out. Only things iv changed are chains, bars, spark plugs, air filters and fuel filters. Not the best saw I'm sure but it's been good to me.
My aunt told me to help my self to her bar.. after we drank her bottle of Johnny walker she was so mad.. all i remember it taste like pine sap.. after 100 years should have gotten some Canadian mist.
Hey Donny, love these saw building vids! I've been running a 359 w/24' bar for quite a few years as my primary firewood saw. Had to change the intake boot to one with a steel clamp (due to air leak) and drilled a hole in the carb, otherwise issue free. I have felling dogs on it and run a mesh filter....great saw! In other words, +1 more for the 300 series!
Another light and informative video Mr Donny Walker.. Going to be a nice little saw for your baby girl, we love spoiling our daughters eh man.. Enjoy camping and the time you have with your folks.. SLANT'E
Hey Donny! Dustin Dees from Texas with the Echo 590 you built, just wanted to say awesome job and I love the Saw. Ran it for the second time today and going to be using it for a big job on Sunday! We will be getting our next saw from you and Johnny, tell him thanks for all the help! Cheers from Texas.
Can you elaborate more on the carburetor issues on that series of saws? I’ve had my own trouble with these but on the Zamas. Appreciate guys like you taking the time to show professional information and tips. Awesome videos
@@donnywalker4691 346 husky (one I’m workin on has a zama) but you talked about accelerator pump issues on saws with the Walbro carburetors I was curious about those issues
Thanks Donny, I wish I lived closer to take advantage of your expertise! I run a 372 & 61 Husky. Love to upgrade & interested with your recommendations.
Finaly I got it about the air horn overheating problem. I got a 455 in the barn that just starts gets warm then nothing. I will brake it down just like this. Thanks From NH
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us man. Love the little husqvarna saws run SP33G xcut on my little 435 cuts fast holds edge well and is nice to file i really like the xcut chains. Have a peaceful weekend! ✌️❤️🌲🐝
Why isn't here much on the 455 and 460.. I've had mine for over 15 years and it's stoll all original and it's getting tired and needs some donnie walker love
@@donnywalker4691 I've used it daily for the last 5 years now that saws cut roughly 600 cords in the last 2 and a half years now and it's still going to work tomorrow is there any way of getting a pop up piston and cylinder kit from you that's been ported by you and also the 460 husqvarna as well I would like to do the same.. cause around here the stores don't even Handel an xp saw so we r kind stuck with the "consumer saw" witch other than power is hands down some of the best saws I've been around and I've done this on and off for the last 25 years
I had a 2001, 365 husqy was a great saw .worst part was I regrettably lent it to a relative who has no idea and put strait fuel in it .at the time I couldn’t afford the time it was going to take to repair it and bought a new MS460.wish I had of kept it now and put a new cylinder and piston in it.the main lesson from this was don’t lend your saw ,mower or your wife ,for obvious reasons.😆
IN MY OPINION ANY 3XX SAW IS GOING TO BE A RUNNER OVER ANY OF THE OTHER VERSIONS THAT ARE NEWER OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE THE EPA WAS NOT INVOLVED AND THE PRODUCTION OF THEM AS MUCH AS THE NEWER SAWS AND FOR SOME REASON THEY JUST ARE SO MUCH STRONGER THAN ANY OF THE OTHER PREDECESSORS I HAVE A PORTED 272 IT JUST RUNS THROUGH FUEL VERY NON-FUEL EFFICIENT I DO NOT LIKE IT I DO LIKE THE WAY IT CUTS I ALSO HAVE A 372 XP FRANKEN SAW BOTTOM OF A 365 SPECIAL TOP END OF A 372 AND ALL THE PLASTICS THAT I MADE A IRON HORSE MUFFLER FOR ACTUALLY BOTH OF THEM HAVE IT THE 272 AND THE 372 LIKE I SAID THE 272 IS PORTED BUT THE 372 IS STOCK JUST THE IRON HORSE MUFFLER WAY MORE FUEL EFFICIENT AND I THINK IT OUT CUTS THE PORTA 272 WITHOUT FAIL IS THERE A WAY TO PUT A SAW AND KEEP ITS FUEL EFFICIENCY I THINK THAT'S COUNTERINTUITIVE DUE TO THE FACT THAT MORE AIR EQUALS MORE FUEL BUT IF THERE IS A WAY TO PORT YOUR SAW AND KEEP ITS FUEL EFFICIENCY WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST WAY I REALLY LOVE TO BUILD CUSTOM HEADER PIPES I CALL THEM FOR CHAINSAWS IT OPENS THEM UP LIKE NOBODY'S BUSINESS AND THEY CUT LIKE A BANSHEE KEEP UP THE GOOD VIDEOS I LOVE THE WAY THAT YOU ARE DETAILED AND EXPLAINING THINGS .
