Great guide. The burp made me laugh out loud. I use vortex, mainly because I'm not very good with computers and it was the simplest way to get playing. That said, you've gave me the confidence to finally let my game upgrade :D

Nice video. The only thing I do differently is download LOOT and use it instead of the MO2 version. I’ve found over the years that loot on MO2 constantly ruins my plugin load order.
@@shaunthom That's a fair point. I never had issues personally other than having to manually rearrange some, but I have heard plenty of others that needed the latest version of LOOT. I wonder if there is a way to manually update the integrated MO2 version. Good advice regardless if you have a mid or larger mod list. Thanks for watching!
@@OrionDakota I guess it’s because I usually have a mod list of around 1600 mods. You are on to something though. There has to be a way to incorporate the latest LOOT version to MO2. Oh and when I say 1600 mods I’m referring to Skyrim. With FO4 I do only have about 80 mods.
@@MOVIE.KNIGHTS Sorry to hear that! You can grab LOOT and run it standalone though. You don't have to run it through the mod manager. In fact some people recommend not running it through a mod manager, but I have always had good experiences running it through Mod Organizer. Good luck and thanks for watching! :)
1. What is deference between vortex and MO2 ?, already use vortex install mod one is a mod manager for a VARIETY of games vortex (every game on the nexus), mo2 is specifically for Bethesda games, Skyrim, fo4, starfield. 2. Fusion girl for next gen not support? complete preference.
Vortex seems to have a little more emphasis on having a flashy UI and managing multiple games but as far as managing one game at a time MO2 seems to have the edge. They are both good managers but MO2 seems a little more focused. MO2 doesn't make any changes to your game folder and every modding application (bodyslide, bae, nifscope, etc.) are run from one location inside MO2. Vortex is a little more beginner friendly potentially for example if you install a mod that conflicts with another it will pop up and ask you which you want to overwrite the other. MO2 just assumes if you are adding it later you want it to overwrite anything earlier. I was always told the learning curve to MO2 is a little steeper but the extra functionality is worth it and I'm inclined to agree which is why I made this video to teach people everything they need to use MO2. :) I have 4 different shortcuts to launch MO2 for Skyrim, Fallout NV, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, or to launch each of those games modded without opening MO2. With Vortex it seems like you have to launch everything from Vortex like a very complicated Steam. Also as wastedwastelander pointed out MO2 is heavily supporting modern Bethesda games, but also supports Cyberpunk, Subnautica, Valheim, and several others. I used a MO2 plug-in to add support for Fallout 76 so potentially you could make a plug-in to add another game as well which I might try later.
Thanks, i just wondering almost yt player use mo2, and what is same mo2 will slow down after 250mod installed or no?, because i use vortex feel slow down after install 200mods is normal or we can tweak, i use laptop legion 5 15arp8 setting high mix ultra, and want downgrade version fallout maybe i should try mo2😅
I would give MO2 a try. I have 270ish mods right now and everything runs great. Couple extra steps to get everything set up if you use bodyslide but I think it's worth it for the extra functionality.
I'm very sorry to hear that! Can you confirm that the meshes were output to the proper location? In MO2 click on the "data" tab and under "meshes" confirm they are listed and most should show red under the "mod" group because the bodyslide output should overwrite whatever default meshes came with the outfits you are using. Also please note: if you are using a cracked version of Fallout they may not work. At least that's what has been reported to me.
Try this. If you click on the puzzle looking icon at the top of MO2 and go to Ini Editor, check your Fallout4.ini or Fallout4Custom.ini for the following: [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= If you dont see them then go ahead and add them. Supposedly the preference is to only add them to Fallout4Custom.ini but mine is in the regular Fallout4.ini with no issues. I thought that MO2 does this by itself but maybe not in your case. This enables the overwriting of the game archives meshes with the loose ones you made with Bodyslide. Let me know if this solves the issue. Sorry for the difficulty but thanks for watching!
Alright. I'm doing a fresh install and plan on falling your guide, but my main problem is a no audio bug soon after intro during menu and in game. Do you know a fix for that?
No I haven't heard anything about that. So you have audio during the Bethesda logo but then no audio in the menu? I might suggest removing your audio drivers and letting windows reinstall them but not sure if you are somewhat computer savvy.
@@OrionDakota I I figured it out I was missing X3daudio1_7.dll and Xinput1_3.dll and i just used the microsoft direct x set up after reseting my pc and doing a clean Fallout 4 install. Also good work I hope to see more of your videos.
No you dont need a fresh install, but if you are moving from a different mod manager you have to make sure to set up all your mods the same. The nice thing is before you load the game it will give you a warning about missing plug-ins which helps you pick the correct ones. I had to go back 3 or 4 times to get all the plug-ins right, reinstalling a couple mods to select different options because I couldn't remember how I originally configured them.
