I’m pretty sure that ADA is just an AI, but it gets hijacked/corrupted in some way by the alien artifacts, and starts instructing you to do things that are not necessarily in line with Ficsit’s goals.
@@DrawingXaos that would explain why artifacts/ADA talks about "paternal figure" and the "earth president". the planet doesn't know our culture and is trying to sound friendly using generic and strange terms to us
@@DrawingXaos I mean…if it’s influencing the AI in some way (hijacking/corrupting it instead of wiping it out or taking it over), then the AI would still have its lexicon and everything. Besides, this is alien tech(?) beyond anything that Ficsit has, so it’s probably borderline magical.

When my father was in the Navy, he was a passenger in a jeep where the driver screwed up and crashed, causing a bunch of my dad's teeth to be knocked out (he required a dental bridge to fix it). The driver was CHARGED...with, among other things, "damage to government property" (my dad). Seriously. So yeah, just because they use "Damage to FICSIT property detected" doesn't mean it isn't an actual person. That kind of callous and impersonal labelling wouldn't be surprising from a corporation like FICSIT
My dad was in the navy to and he told me that if they didn't wear sunscreen when out on the flight deck (Gulf War) and got sunburned badly enough, they would be charged with "Damage to Government Property".
My theory is that you help build a station that can exploit the whole planet. And in the end you have to decide whether to continue or help the planet. Over time, the planet learns to communicate better and better through the relics you find.
I don't have a theory about the story, however about the end game items I think SAM Ore will be used for teleportation/dimensional technologies as hinted by the quantum computer and superposition oscillator descriptions. Mercer Spheres and Sommersloops will be used in combination with SAM Ore for self teleportation(stargates) and remote container access technologies. One for each, not sure which to which. I think this, since these 2 things are very powerful abilities, involve teleporation/dimensional abilities, are needed for the late game for sanity, and the limit of Mercer Spheres and Sommersloops in the world(and you can't build them) make it so these technologies can only be used in a limited fashion, and how much you can use them will depend on how much you explore the map. The reward would be well worth it, if the more you got the more containers/teleporters you could make. Makes sense from a game design standpoint, and would be awesome.
That is very well reasoned and I do like that the fact that you can only get so many of the sommersloops and Mercer spheres and that you can teleport around the map that would be amazing but they did say it was story related so I'm curious as how that would factor in.
@@DrawingXaos True they did mention, they are story related. So if my prediction is true for abilities, perhaps they could be used to transport you and your items to the ship you are building in space at the end of the game. Perhaps the main boss if there is one, is in another pocket dimension accessible through teleportation only, and you can't bring stuff there with you, only through remote containers or perhaps you can make a dimensional weapon that can use remote container access for ammo. That is a few ways both things could be true. I do like the idea due to it being a needed mechanic, teleportation is mentioned, and it limits it, and encourages exploration. So both those abilities could further the story in that way.
If you watch the player run in 3rd person, you can tell the player is actually a human/goat hybrid that was initially trained in Goat Simulator( The 1st Coffee Stain title).
Dont forget sanctum. Coffee Stains FPS tower defense. I had quite a bit of fun in those games and sometimes the enemies in that game show up in the Satisfactory pocket dimension.
Yeah but that was when it was motors and heavy modular frames and such. The chance of them of redoing all the space elevator parts seems pretty minimal with all the work they put in thus far and it not being in the original game when it came out in years ago
I just started and enjoy the game. I really hope they will make something interesting out of those things. IMHO there is so much potential in the alien artifacts to add an additional layer to this already great factory game.
All the parts made for the space elevator are obviously ship parts. The mission is to build these parts then combine them to build ship(possibly the SAM orre is used to to form the outer skin) and then gather the sommer sloops as they really are needed to create some sort of medicine to save humanity but the mercer spheres were unexpected. These mercer spheres have some sort of extraordinary power that in the wrong hands could be devastating to the earth. FICSIT have decided they will not carry out the mission they were sent to do, but instead want the get the mercer spheres instead of the sommer sloops The ship has only space for either the sommer sloop or the mercer spheres. The player will be faced with a dilemma, either send the sommer sloops to save humanity, or turn to the ''dark side' and instead get the merrcer spheres.
Dude, that was a nice setup you walked through at the start of the video. Regarding "Don't trust the computer.", that reminds me of the old Paranoia table top RPG. "Trust the computer. The computer is your friend." Somehow it wouldn't surprise me if our character turned out to be a clone, with a new one wheeled out as soon as you turn yours in to apple sauce.
lol, yeah, idk what it is about ada but as soon as i hear that voice when i get a sloop or sphere it makes me not trust her. And the whole cyber wagon being created by her, seems fishy
@@DrawingXaosI built 5-6 nuclear reactors and played around with them for a while but I never figured out how to make them stable. There was always either too much water or not enough. I suppose next time I shouldn’t try to process the waste but just put it in storage instead. Anyway I got tired of babysitting it all them time and just built a 1,100 fuel generator blended fuel power plant to keep my play-through going.
Dude I watched this last night and wrote out a 10 page essay rebuttal/follow-up theory. This is the most TLDR I can get: We survive "planetfall" onto Massage, the pocket dimension is basically our pocket and doesn't hold an entire planet. At most it's a fat storage container. Mercer means Merchant, Sloop is a type of boat/ship. FICSIT is most likely a prison labor group or in the very least is using the "Save the Day" program as a means of "employing" a vast and expendable workforce. I figure prison labor because the all female workforce, the faded orange FICSIT colors, and the vibe about it all just gives me that impression. Basically, FICSIT is the UK and Massage is Australia. Oh and "Congratulations, you are IIRC #16 to survive Planetfall. (It's not a big number either way) Also: P I O N E E R S.... P R I S O N E E...(A portmanteau of Prison/Employee that is an anagram of Pioneers) Just an interesting stretch I'm willing to make. One thing I wanted to take note of though is in the drawings of the FICSIT employees, their badges do not give any clear reference to FICSIT or its logo (I know the badges are small but still, "Steve" is holding his directly up to the camera. Nothing would make a player go "Oh that's a FICSIT badge!". Whatever they are really for, both Steve and Caterina share the similar design, indicating that at least in the form of Badges; the two hold the same rank. You would think maybe as a CEO her badge would have a differentiation indicating her position. Lastly, as interesting as all that is...I find the planet itself far more interesting. Megacorp greed, sheisty business practices, veils of truth, signs of impending doom, none of that is more interesting than this solar system. F*ck a double rainbow, I want to see a double eclipse.
lol very well thought out. would make sense that they would send prisoners down to a hostel planet and worry more about the equipment than the person. and it would explain why they left us alone with just a drop ship to start from scratch. Maybe project assembly is a rehabilitation program? that would be interesting as well. Only two more months till we find out.
I like this narrative. I always felt that we start with very little in terms of support and equipment for a company who is capable of interstellar travel. Just enough to have some chance for survival. It makes sense though if the main goal was to get rid of some udesirable characters on a socially acceptable way. I would go as far as project assembly wasn`t even that important in the begining (Ficsit most likely would care more about it`s success and spend more resources if it was) but understanding the alien artifacts and discovering SAM ore changed this. (Or with a plot twist it wasn`t a thing at all but somebody in Ficsit has a different agenda. Steve for example, as the link between pioneers and the CEO he is in the perfect position to hide a code in ADA which only activates on succesful planet fall and rewrites the mission for the pioneers).
ok thoughts on your theories. 1) I dont believe we are in a simulation. I think you are over thinking the respawning thing. respawning happens in many games without any world explanation. it doesnt need to have one. 2) when the artifacts talk to you, I know it sounds like ADA, but I dont think it is ADA. I think the artifacts are taking over ADA and trying to communicate with you and get you to pick it up. 3) I do agree with you that I think there is going to be a conflict of interests between Ficsit and something.... likely the planet, or the artifacts, which are intelligent. now my crazy likely incorrect theory. I believe the sommersloops and mercer spheres arent necessarily on the same side. I imagine them competing to be collected and used first. likely the artifact audio for one of the two will be updated. so we will have three competing interests. Ficsit, sommersloops and mercer spheres. we would get different benefits for progressing each one. lets go for sept 10!!!!
Man now that's an interesting theory I do like the idea of having competing factions but at the same time I do also kind of like my theory as well. The real question of it all is what is it trying to build or make?

I got the two competing artifacts idea from playing Myst, where the two brothers both want you to collect the pages for their book and not the other. if they are not competing, why have two different items? I suppose they could just relate to two different MAM trees..... still thats all ive got, lets go SEP 10th!

Interesting, however I don`t think the sommersloops or mercer spheres want to be collected, quite the opposite. After all they tend to be hidden or tucked away in difficult to reach places surrunded, almost feels like guarded, by enemies. I mean there is clearly a fraction which wants you to collect them, but also there is one which does not. This can be the planet or some sentinel alien lifeform (perhaps a passive safety system left behind by long gone aliens). I always felt that the planet is not really natural but terraformed and life is engineered rather than evolved. We have far too many biomes for such a small area (makes sense if you want to terraform, you create as diverse a biosphare as you can on a relatively small space). Many rocks, spires etc. has a hexagonal base structure which also suggest that they are somewhat engineered rather than formed naturally.
Nice theory, might not be too far off. I found 2 Peet Soil locations "close" to your Plus base if you want the coordinates just say, will not spoil if you do not want them.
Thanks, would be interesting to be close when it comes out but still looked at as a maniac. Lol. And I scanned for peet soil and it still said a ways away. But should be fine, it's what trains and drones are for.
I could just be forgetting something but when in the game does it say that the game takes place in a pocket dimension? The only thing about pocket dimensions I remember rn about the game is anytime you get an inventory space upgrade ADA says, "R&D has inflated the size of your pocket dimension." Which to me told me that they have access to pocket dimensional technology, but only as a means to make carrying and storing shit easier.
your right that is the only time they said about pocket dimension, but if they have access to that technology they its completely possible that each person could be in there own pocket dimension to gather resources and bring them home.
@@DrawingXaos I mean sure, but then what would be the point of project assembly? It's known as a Save The Day solution and if you can make infinite resources by making multiple mini universes then there probably isn't any problem to solve.
well what if you are sent to this universe, and you need to assemble the technology to keep the portal open from both sides to get the recourses. Not to mention there would be so many different universes they would have to scout them first, not all would be a 1to1 able to take what you need.

I honestly think that we 'might' get new build-able items! A teleporting module! Where items, & resources go in, & are teleported to a receiver! Which then resources come out of to be used in factories! No need for belts anymore, & you'll be able to select which resources or items that comes out!!! Or, it "knows" automatically what's needed for each production machine!! Maybe you can attach them to each port on the production machines!?
Honestly that would be cool if they gave us another buildable item and especially for teleportation that'd be great. But they would have to put on a lot of logistics if it was something that would know exactly what we needed though the programmable splitters are supposed to be able to do that too.
@DrawingXaos There inlys the advancement of splitters, to programmable splitters, to...teleporting mergers & splitters (mergers send; splitters receive & are programmable)?? But, only 1 resource/item per!! If they could be attached...then the building's recipe would automatically select the resource/item!
@DrawingXaos I have even more ideas! Unlocking manufacturers doubles basic recipes (metal, copper, limestone, etc.)! Instead of 1 to 1, it's 2 to 2! However, higher "tier" resources only increase slightly! I'm thinking 25% increase! Lights should repell spiders, especially at night! You could build a corral for creatures, except for spiders(since they jump) to keep them from attacking you (just thought of this)! Also, you'd have to package liquids to teleport it!! I think there should be 1 big boar for each herd of boars, & a few more smaller ones! & they shouldn't attack you unless you attack them! But, the spiders should swarm, & are the major predators of the world! So they attack boars too! So you could go out & find drops from boars that were killed by spiders! You could become friendly with certain boar herds (doubt this would be acceptable)! But, the mods from SF+ got me thinking! The crusher could be used to get stone, which is added to limestone, to get "dry" concrete! Not use screws, but iron rods for reinforced concrete (all versions of construction, including pillars)! Definitely love auto feeding biofuel generators (p.s. 4 power shards to balance production; 2 for processing leaves into biofuel, & 2 to process biofuel from logs into the bales of biofuel)! Sorry, brain farted on that last part! SF+ has potential in basic Satisfactory, if thought through!
hasn't the space elevator parts been confirmed as just place holders? i think the planet is or has been a living organism. and you are building materials for the ai attacking of earth. and your avatar is like 20' tall
I didn't hear anything about AI attacking earth or anything like that but as for the space elevator parts being a placeholder I heard that the original space elevator parts were placeholder and these new ones were more likely going to stay. So back when it was motors and modular frames those replace holders
I would guess that’s because things that are “modular” are things that can relatively easily be added to or removed from something. Taking the engine out of a locomotive would essentially make it a metal framework with wheels, and (imo) it would be even less useful than putting an electric heater outside in the winter.
