The ears part is a call back to an earlier portion of the show. Exactly like the "Nobody's stopping me!" part is a callback or foreshadowing part from the Dr. Phil story. Ron White was very different than the other comedians on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Especially his earlier work. For anyone who hasn't heard him in his old days but loves his comedy. Go in search of it, definitely a different era of his career and possibly better as it was more raw. For example, he does a bit about being gay and not realizing how two men would be intimate until later in life. Then, he says if that bothers you then you can come up here to whip my @$$, if you can get 10 or 12 of you together...but then how do you get them apart. Things like that. Crossing the line and that's just one of the things he said in that single section. He strung together like 4 of those jokes.

You don't get the ears bit because you only saw one small part of the whole set. Skilled comedians make jokes earlier on in the set that come up at unexpected times later on. The "ears" was one of those.

When Blue Collar Comedy tour came out I was like 14 or somethin like that and my step dad got it for Christmas. I remember laughing so hard at Ron White and his drunk in a bar story because my step dad was also laughing so hard. I never liked Jeff Foxworthy or Larry the Cable Guy at all. Ron was the glue that made the whole thing work.

Just on the topic of why sponsors would let him go, honestly, its just an image thing. Like you said, the people that already buy from the sponsor or whatever else would not be affected, so that isnt the issue, the issue is all the NEW people that would now come to dislike tiger. In the sponsors eyes, all those people that dont buy from them, that are now hating him, are customers lost. So to the sponsor the negative backlash hes getting, would hinder their ability to gain as many NEW buyers as possible, so 9 times out of 10 sponsors just let whoever that got all that negativity surrounding them go.....sorry for nerding out there lol.

Ron White’s rep as a comic really got damaged in a way by being part of the Blue Collar Comedy tour. Everyone who considered those guys safe and corny put him in that category and he doesn’t deserve to be at all. He’s got one of the best deliveries in comedy ever and he’s a great storyteller

It makes it look like they support that type of behavior or things they said...it's all about image control....If the sponsors don't drop these people then there will be outrage and boycotts with those products....i.e. Budlight. Its all about the sponsors image and nothing else. They do the same thing with NASCAR drivers.
