@Mir-Khan743 Burr and him were friends before this, Burr was on Chapelle show and a writer for it. So yeah they had the same thoughts on the subject most likely. I find it interesting what constitutes stealing bits for comedians. Doesn't seem premise based but it can be if same beats. Tricky game of having a similar POV having to construct a joke abt it and maybe realizing "shit my great friend and comedian already had a similar premise".

I'm traditional, raised by traditional parents who are still together. I used to see my dad do chivalrous things for my mom. It looked like a proper thing to do. I ended up meeting a traditional women, about as traditional as you'd find in the early 2000s. She was raised by traditional parents, her mom is very religious. As time went on and she started meeting more and more feminists women I could see the change in her. Chivalry is a way that I was able to guage it's progression. I used to make her breakfast in bed. Not all the time but every few months or whatever. Slowly it started to mean less and less till eventually it felt like a bother to her. Eventually she would just say thanks and put the plate to the side and not eat, or complain that she didn't want to get the bed dirty. Basically any excuse. It honestly made me feel like shit. Here I am getting up early to do a something sweet only to have it thrown back in my face. It was clear that her feminist ways were progressing. Flowers didn't mean much anymore, ect...you get the point. I feel like I had to bury that part of me to avoid the shitty feelings that came with it. I know that part of me is still there. It'll never go totally away. I enjoyed doing it. But it's just not respected anymore. My brother said it best, "mom and dad raised us for a world that doesn't exist anymore ". As hard is it is to swallow, it's true. If any modern women are reading this, if they ever create a time machine you can guarantee I'll be going back to the 50s to date your grandmothers where chivalry was not only expected, but respected. I hate being a man in today's world. I look at my dad and my grandpa with envy when it comes to women. I teach my sons to be respectful but and how to be chivalrous. At the same time, I also tell them that if you don't want to end up like dad don't get married. It's so fucked up. I don't want them raised for a world that doesn't exist like me.
