I'm #3 guys. Jus happen to see this video and yo this boat looks awesome and why hasn't it been on a poker run? I am pretty sure it will do great on one of those runs
That would be a big wrong. 7 s are in no means meant for a light wieght speed machine. Or anyone who wants to keep thier hearing in tact. I will put my money on this set up any day. Do you wanna talk some numbers with power to wieght.
@@michaelteeple8704 not true, you ever seen an Apache 41, stuff, it's a fact, any cat has a design flaw, it's not a safe hull design, I understand about being cautious, but still, never trust a cat and a swell , they don't get along, happy travels,🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
@@patrickrolf482 Dont make decisions based on emotion. Try using facts. When you look into reliability the numbers dont seem to help your position. Donzi didnt draw straws to see which motors to use. It was very well thought out and based on fact not feelings. We see thier choice. Yamaha has obviously given up on the speed game as proven by the size and weight of thier motors. The donzi was designed for 2 on each sponson and space is tight doubt the yamies even fit.
Like I said if I’m going to spend A half $1 million for a boat I would go with Yamaha for the reliability purposes it’s only fine going fast for a little while then the motors blow up we all know this and Yamaha will get you safely home been a marine technician for 30 years mercury used to make a good two-stroke engine now they’re all about speed not reliability
@@patrickrolf482 I'm sure the builders will put whatever engines you specify on your boat. It's YOUR money after all. Just don't expect much speed out of those heavy Yammies, 75-80 at best. That boat will do 120+ with quad Merc 450s, a way better bang for your bucks. I would like to see a speed comparison with quad 425 Yams and 450 Mercs. Let's see which engine is best. I'm sure the builder can do that.
@cat maran CAT Mercury has a very good power to weight ratio. They are usually made for performance applications. Yamaha's are great motors with great engineering, but they are heavier and so they're seen more on center consoles.
Because they wanted it to go fast for a long time. Whats with these comments. If you arent aware of how important power to wieght ratio is then please look into it. This isnt a 47 intrepid and its not meant for fishing. Its meant for speed and if you dont know who does that best then i guess you make comments about big pig motors being your choice. Cmon check into it.
