#JangoFett #StarWars At the end of Star Wars Bounty Hunter the video game, Jango Fett gets recruited by Count Dooku to become the template of the Clone Army for the Republic!
I mean it's literally the only source, telling us the story of how Jango lived before the Separatist crisis and how a clone army was planned to be created and where Asajj got her saber from.
Pyro_Fuziøn I think all the old Star Wars games are deemed legends, but in this case it has to be canon since there’s no other source that was created by Disney.
Yeah, it's kind of strange when you realize this game actually took place at the exact same time as the events of Phantom Menace, Roz was even placing bets against Watto in the same pod race that Anakin won.
Exactly! You familiar with the Republic commando novels? It’s implied there that Jango actually knew what the clones would be used for, and so he eagerly agreed, wanting to take revenge on the Jedi for teh massacre against his Mandalorian extended family on Galidraan.
shes the one who Jango killed after she was chased throughout corousant by obiwan and anakin after she tried putting those poisonous worms in padme's room right?
*Jango Laughs with open arms* "Ahh, you were part of the first batch, let me take off that helmet and see my young man how much he's- OH MY GOD THIS MANS OLD!"
@@GrungeJeans He wanted to actually raise a kid and wasn't interested in Zam and wouldn't waste his time involving a random woman for a prolonged period of time.
Remember when Roz (his toidarian friend) told him to leave the Bounty hunting life, get a girl and have a kid? Then she died on Jango's arms after being attacked by Montross That is why he asked for an unmodified clone of himself...so he could raise him,to honor and remember her by having a kid/son Even if it was a clone of himself
Actually. Zam was the bounty hunter shaped shifter in one of the prequel movies. It was when Obi Wan and Anakin were on Courasant hunting for Jango. She was the girl who was killed by Jango when she got caught by Obi Wan and Anakin
She knew he was looking for a chance to take a son under his wing as Jaster Mereel did for him after his parents were killed by the Death Watch on Concord Dawn. Somebody to inherit his armor, his training, his heritage, his legacy.
I love how disturbed Dooku sounded when asking why Jango wanted the first clone to himself unmodified. Like “uhhh, what are you going to do with it, exactly!?”
Benelope Almendra He’s a Bounty Hunter with a high priority mission, Zam knew the risks of failure wherein she could reveal sensitive information of such a mission. Both are experienced bounty hunters. Live by the sword, die by the sword schtick. Those who hunt people for a living do so prepared to die any moment.
This is canon to me,it makes a lot sense too,Dookus reason why he recruited Jango and Montros, is because they were 2 of the greatest Mandalorians/ Bounty hunters in the galaxy,he recruited those specific two because they hate each other, and he wanted to see who was the better warrior,Jango or Montros, turns out it was Jango who won and Dooku made up His mind,he is the one who will be cloned and train the clone army in the ways Of the Mandolor, Dookus plan was without Flaw,he was a true Genius
Vegetarian Soylent Green wait didn’t pleaguis already died? And ya he would’ve Succeeded either way, even if Montros killed Jango the same thing would happen,he’d be cloned and a clone army would still be made, maybe even tougher then Jango clones, imagine that
It's such a good game, canon changed the moon to another desert planet for no reason, could have just not explored it if you aren't going to make a detailed story
I agree, this game is awesome and there's no reason to change it. I like to think that most of this history happened in the new canon(but with some changes like the desert aspect of the moon, and maybe we will have to replace Komari with Rael Avarross, or maybe not...Ventress sabers came from somewhere so...)
Dooku: you wanna participate in my duplication exploit? Jango: Only if I get a big wad of cash and a son to spoil with it Dooku: The deal is struck. With our brilliant minds we’re sure to be *ahead* of things
@@Koendabomb I think Kix might possibly be the last one alive, which admittedly makes me feel bad for him more than anything. He's pretty much alone in the galaxy now. Sure, he might possibly make friends and all that, but everyone he knew before is gone, long gone, and very likely no one else like him is around.
@@basedbattledroid3507 Yeah, but it feels like the new games have to get all the rights to use the classic music, so they just use generic stuff. I feel like overall, the score in all these new Star Wars media has gone down in quality.
Zam, a character that died too quick in the prequels. One of my fav star wars character. And the nonchalant relationship she has with Jango is so wholesome.
This was such a damn good game. So atmospheric and so... STAR WARS. I don't know how else to describe it. The dialogue was also A+ There are so many memorable lines.
To be fair, Mando is pretty much all the stuff Legends added to Boba and Jango removed from them and made into a separate character. Up to and including becoming the ruler of the Mandalorians, if things go the way I think they will.
@@bowenorcutt78 well, we can consider this canon again as they not only made Jango Mandalorian again but also mentioned his inclusion in the Mandalorian civil war
Cad Bane, Mandalore, Boba Fett, Jabba, Embo, Din, Zam, Han Solo, Nien Numb, Kaliyo. All those guys are obsessed with money and only exist because of it
It got me when I was reading through Darth Plagueis and they brought up Dooku’s apprentice becoming the leader of a terrorist cult group. I was blown they would bring up this game’s events years later as another tie in showing how far Plagueis and Sidious’ reach on how the galaxy turned out to be the way it was for the Republic and CIS
@@rc59191 "Boba Fett: The Fight to Survive" It takes place from Boba's perspective, after Zam's death. "Jango Fett's face seemed even sadder and older than usual. Boba wondered if it had to do with Zam....When Boba got back to the apartment, he saw that his father had been walking in the rain, too. Funny, thought Boba. I didn't see him out there."
"Cut, what's the problem?" "What's my motivation?" "You're a bounty hunter, you hunt bounties, got it?" "Yeah, okay, I'm a bounty hunter, I've got it." "Great let's try it it again, this time do a little faster, more urgent, remember; you're a bounty hunter." "Right, right, right, got it, bounty hunter, bounty hunter. But, who's the bounty?" "Does it matter?" "Oh, well I guess not, but uh-" "Yeah we'll put him in later, CGI, use your imagination." "Do I have any Dialogue!?" "Nope, you're a bounty hunter; you don't _need_ dialogue. Ready?" "Yup, okay, right, ready, ready, yeah I'm ready." "Action."
Jango: "I want the first clone for myself, un-modified." Dooku: "May I inquire as to why?" Jango: (basically) "No." Dooku: (basically chill about it) "Oh, ok."
So this is how everything and the victory of Evil begins: with a deal and handshake. This scene always gives me the creeps and some sadness. The clone wars, order 66, Anakin's dawnfall and Vader's domain, Palpatine's victory and an age of evil begins. The Empire has born.🥺
technically bobas him bc yk clones what dooku told him isn’t completely off he passed his training and ways as a bounty hunter down to him jango is a simple man just making his place in the galaxy and so is boba
Jango was essentially made to please fans of boba fett who were upset he got killed off, his personality is pretty much like boba fett with less attitude. The only difference was the voice, but that was retconned anyway. They're essentially the same character, but no one ever brings that up. From a meta standpoint, jango is the true clone.
This game was highly underrated and one of my favorites, as it tied a lot of things together at the time that other sources could not. Wishes they would do another Boba or Bounty Hunter Guild type game.
I don't know why they couldn't find a way to work this into the cannon. It makes perfect sense and surely anyone who could survive that 'quest' would make one hell of a good soldier, so what's the problem? Probably money...if they wanted to include the story 'officially', they'd have to pay the designers something and I'm sure that's not a good option.
We don't yet know to what extent... we know Jango was a Mandalorian foundling, and that he served under Jaster Mereel. The chaincode in Boba's armor has Jaster's name. There is still some unexplained grey area in that Boba's armor is meant to be Jaster's original armor that got damaged when he was killed. The armor Jango wears in a different suit. Boba wears it temporarily before switching to Jaster's. That's why the visor is red instead of blue, and it has some insignia's not on Jango's armor.
@@dr.robotnick1888 his ancestor was Cassus Fett, the right hand to Mandalore the Ultimate during the Mandalorian wars Mandalore was title passed down to each reigning head of the Mandalorian clan one that eventually fell to Jango Fett, then PRe Vizla, then Boba Fett even if not by blood he is Mandalorian by trade
DR.RobotNick18 The guy who said Jango wasn’t a Mandalorian was member of Satine’s pacifist government, those trying to erase the warrior heritage of the Mandalorians. Plus he later turned out to be a traitor. Hardly a reputable source for who is and isn’t Mandalorian.
The sad part is, when you consider this alongside the Jando Fett and Zam Wesell comic books, the two bounty hunters actually had a bright future ahead of them. Then Dooku comes along and ruins everything. Jango just murders his would-be wife in cold blood in Attack of the Clones, not cool
@@TMX1138 Disney Cannon is garbage. I prefer these so called "legends" over what Disney says is the truth. Disney is like Palestine twisting the truth (the story of legends) suit there own ends. That's how I see it at least.
the game isn’t considered part of the new canon since it was made for the Eu continuity pre Disney and it even connects to the open seasons comic also part of the old Eu
It's not part of the new canon, but I ignore the new canon because you're absolutely right, it does explain why Jango was picked as the clone template, new canon is just a rush job.
@@TK-3613 I believe in a comic he killed 6 jedi in hand to hand combat when dooku was still a jedi and then later was choosen it should honestly be both. As yes he could follow that comic plus something similar to this years later and thus proving it was not just pure luck and that he still had it years later
The mandalorian touches on this. The Mandalorians could battle the Jedi and sometimes win, so to create an army of these fighters and use it against the jedi is order 66.
