DOOM Eternal Ancient Gods Part 2 The Dark Lord Full Combat Music Music Composed by Andrew Hulshult and David Levy DOOM Eternal Ancient Gods Part Two (Official OST Playlist) • DOOM Eternal: Ancient ...
@@Smellyturtle67 I know but _C'mon it would've been dope as hell even if it was for a cutscene_ Like seein those things in the background can't NOT make you want to
@@aurorameme4709 yes but how can you be disappointed when this has been the most cinematic doom we have ever had. Doom has never been this cinematic before
@@Smellyturtle67 Yeah I understand what you mean, dont get me wrong though, first time through I sat staring for a solid 2 minutes, its just that I _hoped_ we would have been able to, though im fine without it
5:42 even though mick was not able to compose for TAG they still put a bit of At Doom's Gate by Mick Gordon, the respect between those three is mind blowing
@@roadkill_52 if they were to be representing Bobby Prince's at Dooms Gate they would probaly had put the guitar riff not the build up, you can see it's Micks Dooms Gate because it goes a lot heavier and slower
@@Ezdine_G8261 In the lore, the divinity machine had some Davoth essence or something inside, so yes, the doomslayer is partially made of Davoth. It's their boss theme.
@@swackman15 nope Hugo confirmed sequel and he has plans. Samur is MIA and the crucible prophecy is not been explained yet. Likely the next sequels antagonist brings the slayer to his knees.
tbh I don't care who made the music for Doom Eternal or the DLC it all slaps so fucking hard and just in general has one the best if not the best video game OST in the last 10 years. That's just my opinion, and the soundtrack for Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal are why I became a fan of instrumental metal because. It has so much emotion behind it without relying on words to express an idea and I have great respect for people who are that talented at playing instruments and just making music like this in general.
Man what can I say about the dark lord other than holy shit. I didn’t think he would be in a menacing massive mech power armor with shoulder guns, a great sword crucible that’s held with one hand, steals life force and summons enemies as phantoms. This music suits him in my opinion. Metal, fast, angry and brutal to match the pace of the slayer.
The problem is you can barely hear it ingame because of the poor mixing. To be honest I can't remember if there was music playing during the torch of kings, just remember ambience playing
I mean the mix of of guns, explosions, and demons being strangled to death might have something to do with it. The campaign has the same “problem”, if you want to adjust it just got to sound settings, this soundtrack is a way better than we deserved considering how toxic the doom fan base can be
@@marylandlax3 not once did i struggle to hear the soundtrack in the base game. in the DLC ancient gods part 2 in particular, the mixing of the music in-game just seems off i had to actually lower the game's other sounds just to hear the soundtrack properly.
I mean the track is epic for sure but if Mick Gordon stayed do you thing the track would be cooler just wandering I don't care which side your on both gordan and Andrew and David did great jobs at the music 666/666
@@renegaderaines2189 for me personally, i prefer a more consistent vision when it comes to the game's soundtrack. so in this case i would say i would prefer the DLC music to have been done by Mick Gordon as well. Likewise if Andrew and David and done the base game i would hope they did the DLC music as well. as Mick Gordon and Andrew/David music while all good, goes in different direction and style for their music which makes the soundtracks just not really gel well imo.
I find the ending quite fitting. The Slayer realized that it's over. He's finally won, hell can never again threaten the universe. So there's no reason for him to continue to exist, and thus he rests, his one man war at last ended
I love the track for the third/final stage of this fight. Makes me imagine Doomguy and the Datk Lord showing off their moves at the worlds most hardcore nightclub
@@iconofsimp291 Rust, Dust & Guts was probably a remake inspired by On the Hunt, just like many other tracks. Obviously newer track are closer to newer Dark Lord theme that is full of callbacks.
You bring violence and war to thwart the the dark realm, but conflict was born in hell. It is inevitable, a fire that fuels creation and gives purpose where there is none. Stand and fight Slayer. Honor your true god. Fight and show me your purpose.
@@foulXD I honestly suggest buying it for the gameplay. Even if the boss is lazy, it's still a challenge and if anything you can just do the levels before the final boss and have fun with that.
@@foulXD It isnt that bad at all. If some people want to hate, let them hate. I have only one playthrough and, yes i think it is not as good as TAG1, but still really good. Its still ETERNAL, and the hammer is a lot of fun to use.
Andrew and David really went to town on the soundtrack. Though I still wish Mick Gordon could have come back for one last piece, and left us with a legacy of Doom
@The Dinosaur Heretic world spear mostly has sentinel prime, mars core beats but that guitar riff of sentinel prime is amazing, reclaimed earth has the hell guards ost from 2016
If the Dark Lord hits you or you hit him when his shield's up, he'll regain health! Avoid his attacks and wait for an opening! Watch out for any demons trying to harass you, however!
I just beat him 2 days ago for my first time for my first ever playthrough of eternal, not as bas as I thought it would be but he still gave me some issues
Maybe tag2 had some missed opportunities, and maybe the final boss wasn't exactly how I'd have imagine, but the music slaps and makes up for tag2's faults.
Really liked the new direction the ost took. AG part 1 songs were kinda sluggish for me, but these new ones sound like Quake on cocaine - wich is good btw.
@@MercenaryGio sorry to say this but doom eternal ost is way better than this ost no cap 🧢 we know Andrew is also one the best rock composer but Mick Gordon is a different breed
@@MercenaryGio I mean we can't really argue about taste. Mick's work is objectively better made. The Tunes are catchier, the melodies are more refined, the sound-designe is original and the mastering is Tier-1. David has some interesting ideas but the way he presents his instruments and the master are just not good enough for an AAA Product. You might get away with this for an Indie-Project. Andrew is a few league up and he has actually his own style. Problem is that his mixes are flat (especially the combat parts in Bloodswamps, AG2 is a bit better). Biggest issue with Andrew is that his music doesn't move anywhere. It doesn't evolve (other that the differences between Ambiance/light and heavy fighting). Its very generic Metal. And I bet that most people who prefer the AG1 and 2 OSTs are Metal-Fans. Which is cool ... but generic metal is generic metal, and an award winning composer is one for a reason.
I still don't understand why there is an option to turn down the music, they should have made is so that it can't go below 10% volume, like it physically cannot be lowered
Not gonna lie - when I realised I've just beaten the Dark Lord and he will NOT pop out of that armour and fight in the same way as the Slayer does.... My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined
I suffered so much beating that crap on nightmare. When i finally killed him in his final phase using a bfg shot on the tyrant he summoned. I was like , *dont get to excited because he there will be a phase of him flying all over the map with magic powers* . Then , the slayer stabbed him and i was also dissapointed and happy at the same time because i didnt have to suffer anymore. The whole dlc was just a blast.
Honestly probably my only complaint would be you don’t fight him on equal terms and he stays in that mech suit Also would have been cool if the last area was taking place in immora with all the sentinels on one side cheering the slayer on and demons on the other for the dark lord, only reason I say this is because a big part of at least base game doom eternal was seeing how the slayer impacted the world around him, or more so the people he effected
This boss fight was good but i feel like they coudlve been more creative with it. Like basically a second Demon Slayer whose as fast and ruthless as you and you have to be even faster and more ruthless
