Hey everyone! Thanks for watching and thank you IGN for having me on your channel. Doom Eternal is the first game that I actually speedrun consistently, and I've found it to be very fun to be able to compete with other players as well as interact with the speedrunning community. Edit: Just to clear some things up: this specific run is in any% category of the speedrun, which means the use of in-game cheats and any other glitch is allowed. The goal of this speedrunning category is to finish the game as fast as possible by any means. Thank you.

It's honestly really disheartening to see how many comments are complaining about glitches invalidating a run. The point of a speedrun is to complete a game as quickly as possible through any means that the game provides, even if those means weren't originally intended by the developers. Glitches are widely accepted in the speedrunning community, and I personally think without them speedrunning wouldn't be as entertaining in the sense that it would feel as though the run was just rushing through regular gameplay. If you want to watch a run without glitches then watch a glitchless run instead of an any% run

If you don't like glitched speedruns then don't comment at all leave the video and go watch a different speedrun. We don't need more people complaining about this shouldn't be considered a speedrun.

Playing as Doomguy to kill the enemies with his arsenal is incredible in under 33 minutes :)

That poor zombie, just left to vibe for all eternity at the beginning of the game.

Using the glitches is not cheating. If they are in the game and you exploit them, it just shows how much time was invested in the game in the first place to even find them and use them to your advantage. Even with all that, you can see that the guy is skillful in general, all the fights he takes, the jumping around, its not something you learn overnight. This type of speedrun is literally made so you can use everything and anything during the run as long as you make it to the end as fast as possible. You want a run without glitches? go watch other categories, but dont throw your words around without thinking it through first or doing some research in advance :)

They REALLY tried to slowdown speedrunners and stop them from doing crazy OOB exploits and yet they can basically no-clip.

hello mr. xamide i found your gameplay from IGN just wanted to say that your run is cool and all but can you take it slower? i like to play games for the story and you keep skipping the cutscenes

So basically, I should just glitch through level walls to the end of the game and be done in 5 minutes or less?

Speedruns are impressive as ever. As far as I know, though, it's still a bit "murky" on how to grade or what's acceptable in Doom Eternal speedruns, because to perform those super jumps runners bind jump to mouse wheel via console command and use either specific types of computer mouse that allows to unlock the mouse wheel to spin freely or use macros that imitates that - neither of which can be counted as "pure skill" speedrun since first option requires specific hardware and the other is basically "software assisted".

Some of the people here don't know what a speedrun is.

I think I prefer seeing people quickly finishing a game the legit way and not relying on glitches. Just not impressive at all

speedruns should be on how fast you complete the games WITHOUT CHEATING ie WALKING THROUGH WALLS. If you cannot finish the game without clipping it's NOT a speedrun. Perfect example of speedrun is FO 1-2.

The 4 gamers of the apocalypse: casual gamer (plays a little PUBG, Overwatch, Mario, the odd open world game here and there) hardcore gamer (is a already prestige 7 in newest COD a couple weeks after launch) obsessive gamer ( has 5000 hours in WoW, has 100% completed practically every MMORPG game) Speed-runner gamer ( is completely insane, not understood by all the other gamers)

Why does the heavy cannon sound different and shoot faster?

I'm not a pc player but hope that next gen minium frame rate is 60. Couple of questions. 1 - is the jump from 60 to 120 as noticeable as 30 to 60? 2 - when the frame rate is jumping around, 240 to 120 and everything in between is it noticeable? . If a 60 game was jumping around lower it would be awful.

Can anyone tell me, if this is only working on pc? Or also on xbox?
