Personally I prefer D4T which also turns Classic DOOM into 2016 but I’ll check it out! I know the EoA also has a DOOM Eternal version but I’m still waiting on dbthanato’s “Kar en Tuk” Mod which seems to be much more refined going as far as making custom maps designed for it and sprites for weapons and monsters being made by hand.
@@muricaneagle666 I strongly agree, dbthanatos just does it better overall, D4T flows extremely well gameplay wise and i know kar en tuk will be comparably great. While QC:DE was boring as single player mod was an absolute joy even with bots on multiplayer. Swear to God that man can touch shit and make it gold.
@@muricaneagle666 Just clearing up some information. "Embers of Armageddon" or "EoA" for short, its a faithful re-creation of DOOM 2016's gameplay. D4T is a lite version of that but also doing it's own thing quite a bit. Currently, there's no official "Doom Eternal" version of "EoA", there are however, addons that try to simulate that.
God i fucking love doom mods. Im playing brutal doom platinum and EOA at the moment. I get stuck in doom mods for so many hours and it just flys by. The only games to date to still do that for me.
I really love the punchiness of brutal doom weapon SE. I know the sound is exaggerated, but it's still fucking cool as hell. Similarly I feel this way about older FPS games. The weapon sounds were really beefy compared to nowadays.
Too true dude, it seems like nowadays they don’t want sounds to be too loud in video games, CS:GO being updated to have quieter gunshot sounds is a huge example.
this shows just how much care goes into sound design of a modern AAA title. guns in brutal doom all have a wide spread on the audio spectrum, and as a result they REALLY wear out on the user after just a bit, while doom eternal's weapons all pack a meaty punch on the low end, and they have some high end punctuation, but are hollow in the mid end, so it doesn't interfere with other sounds that live in that part of the spectrum and so they don't wear out on the player, all that while still sounding awesome and powerful. and all that is just one aspect. there's is also the complexity of the sound, where you can hear the different mechanisms of the weapon working, the clear sound signature of each weapon and distinction that between different guns, etc etc. while if you don't see the video you can't even tell what weapon brutal doom is shooting because they all sounds like ear piercing compressed explosions all the time. there is just no comparison, doom eternal is miles better in the sound design department. doom eternal is like a carefully designed orchestra performance with awesome metal outlining carefully introduced to enrich the experience and give it a doom flavor while brutal doom is a death metal band with zero audio mixing plus 5 lead singers each singing different lyrics. yeah, brutal doom is louder. but that's not a good thing.
It depends what you're going for. I agree that BD's (and most doom mods in general) sounds get grating after a while, but if what you're looking for is blowing off some steam for 5-10 minutes at a time then it's perfect, especially on cheapo speakers where compression isn't as big of an issue. If I want to really sit down and play for a few hours then yeah Eternal is much easier on the ears. But if I want to feel like I'm getting hit by a train head-on and loving every minute of it, then BD works better. The same way I can listen to thrash metal for 5 minutes but jazz for hours, but still enjoy both for very different reasons.
It’s become by far my favorite SSG skin dude, very similar to Brendon Chen’s Classic SSG Concept Art which is very cool! The only small gripe I have is that the skin turns the SSG shells completely black which I don’t know if that can be fixed or not, either way it remains my favorite!
I liked SSG in version 5.4 more than in the last one, it looks not to the center, but somewhere to the right. By the way, the railgun doesn't look good, please make it bulkier, it loses size when viewed from the side, like it's shrunk or something
From a sound design perspective the weapons in Brutal Doom sound far better and more impactful than the ones in Doom Eternal with the exception of about 2 or 3 of the weapons.
The shotguns in BD are honestly the most satisfying weapons I have used in a video game. The recoil, the sounds, the response you get when you shoot into a crowd of enemies, with blood and bits flying everywhere ...
Agreed. I love how the people defending the bad melee talk about how Blood Punch exists, and it’s like yeah it does, it’s still not an excuse for it to take 100 punches to kill a zombie, and nobody is asking for base fist to one shot barons or tyrants, no just be somewhat usable ALONGSIDE the blood punch. But oh well, least there’s mods that improve the basic melee.
I mean, to what I've played, You're only meant to see the punches and it's animations when You have Berserk power-ups, which inta-kill enemies, and I don't think they'll make You pick up Your own fists.
I love doom eternal but after playing it I still think that brutal doom has the best minigun in any game ever It literally mows downs anything on its path
00:01 Extermination Day GG I prefer Brutal Doom, more brutal and also there more weapons and there are mods! Brutal doom is more terrifying, you can watch my Brutal doom online videos, survial Extermination Day XDDDDDD Brutal doom have a more agressive sounds, 3:44 m what is that, is a dance? this is one of the doom eternal errors, but it's normal, now these dances are in fashion, nice video
Brutal Doom has better melee combat, finishers, super shotgun, railgun, unmaker and also allows you to flip enemies with a middle finger, to trigger them. Like, try to flip Cyber Demon and you will see what i'm talking about. It will give you hell. Now, don't get me wrong, Doom Eternal is a cool game, but i think that it should have it's gameplay pointed towards the fun aspect of it, and not grinding and "trying to survive" aspect. Cause, according to Doom's lore, Doomguy/Doomslayer is so powerful, that he can take down any demon with bare hands. But when you play the game, you don't feel that powerful, or as if you were playing as that powerful hero. Brutal Doom gives you that feeling. Sure, you are still not immortal and can be killed, but you are also able to fight back with your bare hands and you have this feeling that, you are powerful super soldier, that can kill demons with one hand. So yeah, in my opinion, Doom Eternal should be a game about fun, but instead it is a game about grinding some ammo and healh, and about trying to survive like in some bloody horror game.
Brutal Doom doesn't demand you log into a different account before you play, nor does it boot you out if you don't accept it's terms and conditions, AND it doesn't require online connections.
How did you get the pistol I keep trying to use every know way I can find on the internet but nothing works and the g_enablepistol command is not there
@@flynntaggart7216It existed as soon as DOOM Eternal released yes, but no one knew about it until like 2021 when Sylar posted his video on it and everyone learned to do it, months after ultrakill released.
Weapons form bd far more better, because they do their job. You dont neet to feed cacodemon with grenades using fucking shotgun, or use repatative patterns for specific enemies, you dont need to go to melee, just to have your 16 shells for shotguns, you just straightforwardly kill demons.
@@muricaneagle666 I mean SgtMarkIV had an argument over this. If we get more in depth we can sure say brutal doom stole the idea as well but talking Doom here, they knew they had to keep up with Zdoom mods And tbh they failed at that
@@delroku Either side of the argument is stupid, because plenty of games had the first person kill animations before the two (talking about DOOM 2016 rather than Eternal btw) and also, if i’m not mistaken, Brutal DOOM’s version originally didn’t give ya health or armor like it does in v21, DOOM 2016 had been having it since it’s development when it was still dubbed DOOM 4. Either way the right answer is that both have taken inspiration from other games to make their own version of the kill animation thing, people need to stop shitting on either game for having a similar mechanic, and that’s not just for DOOM Eternal/2016 and Brutal DOOM
@@muricaneagle666 i just like Brutal Doom because it has mods and it's less sci-fi-y Honestly the mix of halo-y looking weapons and painkiller gameplay from Beth doom got me a bit tired
It doesn’t it has a Full Auto Weapon Mod you can use on it, but it makes more sense to compare that to Brutal DOOM’s Assault Shotgun, which is basically an AA12, as for slam firing, I decided to compared that to Punch Swapping the Shotgun, since it slightly increases the fire rate for the Base Shotty.
Because I want people to watch my content… nah but I saw the sideview mod for Brutal DOOM and thought it would be cool to compare since Brutal DOOM normally does the weapons in the center. If there were a Classic DOOM sideview mod, I’d probably compare Eternal to that too.
@@legendanick1455 Glad to hear it dude. Honestly if ya like Classic DOOM, ya need to try out Multiplayer on it, there are still plenty of Deathmatch, Co-Op, Horde Mode, and other mode servers on Doom Explorer, look up DoomKid’s tutorial on setting it up, I’m sure you’ll enjoy!
There is no right or wrong things to compare, just the context of how the comparison is being handled. And come on now, it’s 2+ years since Eternal released, the “Mario Platforming” argument has gotten old and has been dismantled each and every time during those 2 years. Think you could figure out some better material instead of using an objectively wrong statement?
Как раз наоборот Дети любят просто кровь и пушки, а взрослые любят системы, где есть баланс в геймплее. Брутал дум в основном любят как раз школьники, а этернал - скилл люди
If I had to hear those Brutal doom guns sounds during long play sessions, I would have either nearly muted the sfx slider or jammed sharp, pointy sticks in my eardrums. Sure the Brutal doom gun sounds are louder and crunchier but try and listen to those ear crushing sounds during extended play sessions.
@@LearnedAndVile In a game about shooting and ripping apart demons you can't have shit gunplay, they need to punch flash shake the screen rip chunks of flesh. Brutal BooNer, Bloo Balls Eternal
@@LearnedAndVileI’d rather a game have very loud sounds that I can adjust to be quieter if needed, rather than relatively quieter sounds at max volume that I can’t adjust to be louder, if that makes sense.
