I don't know what part of my sentence your child like mind couldn't comprehend, but I guess I'll rephrase. This track has a slow and creeping vibe to it, which reminds me of some of the classic Doom soundtracks, such as E1M5.
I am so busy these days I don't follow video games very closely. I thought I was in the mood to buy a racing game today, and just happened to notice Doom was available. I bought this instead and have no regrets!
Can imagine the Doomslayer walking slowly through a large hallway or hangar, view panning on his helmet/face and weapon and everytime it hits the short actiony parts of the song, it shows various glory kills, and then when it hits full crescendo you see the hangar littered with hundreds to thousands of slaughtered demons/possessed. Someone should make an animated short of that :3
I can picture Doomguy walking casually through a gauntlet of demons, snapping and snarling at the shotgun-toting warrior as he radiates with power and energy so great that even fearless Barons of Hell are reluctant to test their own demise..
because of its industrial electronic it gives off the feeling of fighting wave after wave of mechanical hellbeasts. ID and bethesda you guys have outdone yourselves again. 10/10
Sᴏʟʟᴜx Cᴀᴘᴛᴏʀ Answered my own question. I'm on the west coast in the US, game unlocks for all of NA at 12am EST, so technically it's out on the 12th for me. To my knowledge, steam usually puts the proper release date instead of the unlock time, so I was confused.

Risen Matyr People like to call it Doom 4 because in a sense it's not entirely a reboot (a soft reboot, if you may). You can check out a lot of theories to know that Doom 2016 has somewhat of a tie to the Doom (1993) series. Regardless, I understand that you may call it Doom 2016.

Haha thanks! I just sat at the start screen for a while and saved the video clip to my PS4. Yeah during the E1M8 parts I did actually notice it sounds similar to The Humans!! The creepy ambience at the end also reminds me a bit of the Quake 1 theme! Mick is awesome! :D

God I love this so much more than the Doom Eternal menu music which really surprised me cos I played Doom Eternal first and now i've only just started playing this game
It's up to Bethesda whether or not the soundtrack gets an official release, but me and some fellow DOOM fans on Twitter have made our voices heard and have pleaded multiple times for them to release the soundtrack! Preferably on a physical CD. I'd definitely buy it! I know Mick Gordon wants it to happen.
the soundtrack for doom 2016 fits its concept and design perfectly I can't imagine a better type of music for it, and just the main menu music hints at some true gems in its campaign, for me the best part is at 3:57

Young fan of the series here. Loved Doom, Doom2, Doom 64, Doom 3 and Ressurection of Evil... When I first heard they were making another Doom game....well...I thought id be disappointed. Fuck me, was I ever wrong. Love the new Dooms too

I'm going through withdrawls since the Beta ended, but there is an open Beta coming on the 15th, then the full game less than a month after that so I might survive.
i was someone who played the closed beta but not the alpha and i heard there was a gun left out of the beta like a burst fire gun and i hope that is in there
+THE bean it was in the alpha but not the beta. each gun has a very specific use, and you pretty much have to mess around with all of them to find what works with your play style

You can really tell how careful Mick Gordon was with a lot of the soundtrack. This, for example, has a lot of different things going on, and it builds up really nicely, but it took him _weeks_ to get it right!
I have DOOM Beta, so don't say I am lying. I've played the game. I've heard the soundtracks. It is all an amazing game and you should play it. It is a shoot-em-up, high preformance game where your only objective is to, well, kill demons. You are given an amazing choice of weaponry and overall it is a great game that I think you should try out.

+DarkWolfenstine Halo plays nothing like doom, he's saying this new doom game feels a little like halo. Which I don't see a problem with that. The grandfather is allowed to take from his children lol.

Boring, repetetive gameplay, noisy music plus the absence of capitain price which makes it a 4/10 - IGN. Just kidding, best shooter in many many many years, pure adrenaline pumping action with one of the best soundtracks of all time. Fuck call of duty, its DOOM time
