This is the music from the 1995 Super Nintendo (SNES) game entitled "Doom". It is the music that plays during Episode 3, Map 3. The song is called "On The Hunt". This was ripped by Elbryan42. Thanks to him for the rip. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED!!

This is the music that plays when Doomguy is in hell with a Chaingun and a swarm of zombies, demons and no time to lose.

i didn't feel the motivation to try to make it through the rest of the game on snes until this theme

Now in the PC version, this was E1M6 Central Processing, which I believe was one map that the SNES version eliminated sadly. Certainly thought this was one of the better tracks.

Amazing that SNES was able to run this game back in the day

Since Central processing was removed from SNES Doom, this song doesn't appear until the third episode, where it plays in its usual map slot (Mt. Erebus) in addition to playing on Pandemonium (replacing Deep Into the Code). The SNES version of this track fits a lot more into a Hell-themed level IMO than the PC version did (which felt more suited for a moon-base level).

Am personally very disappointed that the tune deep into the code was removed in the snes version, otherwise i would,ve liked the snes version of doom slightly more, also since i found it odd that the tune the demons from adrians tune was kept in but not the related level itself, mmm

@@johneygd I played episode 2 on the PC before I did on the SNES (the other way around with episode 3), so I was also surprised to see The Demons From Adrian's Pen playing on Refinery and not the intermission song, and finding that I Sawed the Demons was removed from the game (Hiding the Secrets plays on Deimos Anomaly instead). So for me, it was a surprise to hear Deep Into the Code the first time I played E3M3 on the PC (since I had played it on the SNES first). Also, because of how the difficulties work on the SNES port (you can't play the later episodes on easier difficulties), I was stuck on Mt. Erebus for the longest time, since the Blue Key was hidden in a building that required opening up a hidden teleporter to get to (on the easier difficulties, the Blue Key is out in the open and much easier to find). It was hilarious that I ended up inadvertently finding the secret exit before I even found the Blue Key (I jumped into the blue box thinking the switch was there to lower the box and allow you to escape). But because of that Blue Key, this song was scarred into my brain for a while , lol.

In the original PC version, it plays in E1M6: Central Processing and E3M6: Mount Erebus.

Kapanyo yeah. In the SNES version central processing is omitted. And the song that is supposed to play on Pandemonium is replaced with this. (Not sure why... The original E3M3 song is based on Slayer's "behind the crooked cross"... But that didn't stop the SNES guys from keeping in E3M1's Pantera "Mouth for War"-based tune. So who knows why they changed it) It DOES play on Mount Erebus like it's supposed to, though.

Most of the edits/reductions/omissions in the SNES cart were due to technical limitations of the cartridge at the time it was made (1995). I don't believe it had much to do with copyright. www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/01/how_doom_on_the_snes_pushed_the_hardware_to_its_technical_limits

i like how they kept this song in EDIT: lots of people say that this version's soundtrack sounds like someone's playing doom in the room next to you, and this one REALLY feels like that

I like the PS1 soundtrack’s approach, but I do think the SNES has my favorite soundtrack of all the Doom ports, PC included.
