I think the doom Slayer Just did break the cycle... Looking at it he eradicated every demon.. His war is won... He killed every demon by killing the dark lord...
What Yoh's said. I was honestly hoping for a arena style quake fight with him, basically give him all the same powers, moves, ect. But I definitely would consider him the hardest boss in the game.
@@williamhanna9718 it's a loop, but not the one you think of (he doesn't wake up in Doom 2016 - he is sealed until Hell does some weird shit once again)
For those wondering, Doomguy didn't pass out because he lost his powers or anything of that nature. His near-constant use of argent energy has transformed him into a partial resident of Hell, meaning he'd become inextricably bound to Davoth - the true Father - and would require time to adjust to his absence. The remaining Makyrs used this opportunity to seal him away.
Literally no source confirms this or the other terrible theory about him losing his powers. The only things that are confirmed are what we see, he passed out and got put back in the coffin. Theories are fun, but its shocking how casual people are saying this stuff without first saying "This is what i think" or "My theory is"
I don’t think he can just sleep to turn off his anger he has an unquenchable inhuman anger that can’t be satisfied that was given to him by the seraphim, he fought in hell for billions of years.
0:42 that clench of the fist says it all. He is finally face to face with the being responsible for his Anger, The being whose responsible for the death of Daisy and his Alleged family. All of his pure anger and rage will now be unleash to avenge the ones he loves.
@@xizgotbenched9810 yep, it worked last time so why not again? The only reason he got out the last time was because someone opened it from the outside. Now he sleeps once more waiting for the day someone is willing to release him
If hitting him outside of the trigger moment accidentally didn’t restore his life, it would be easier. I don’t normally rage quit, but my folding table shall have to be discarded and a new one replace it. Sheesh.
@@darkartiste78 yeah man. I got pissed off last night and also rage quit. I got it today, but I still stand by the fact that it's tedious and not a good boss fight, especially for the big finale against the dark lord himself. As an aside, idk wtf happened to the music in the DLC. You could barely hear it. I missed the heavy metal blaring in my ears while I went at it. Overall I thought the DLC paled in comparison to the base game. Ah well.
@@darkartiste78 It took me almost 50 minutes to get through it and I was on the easiest difficult because by the end because I was feeling exhausted from trading back and forth on Nightmare and just wanted to continue with the story
@@punishedvenomsnake716 only to be hit with the most anticlimactic non-ending. Feelsbadman. Lmao. I know I'm talking a lot of shit, but I really do love this game. I've beat the base campaign on UN and have well over 100 hours in it. But I just found the DLC overall to be lackluster compared to an otherwise amazing game.
I would prefer that the battle was fought with the Dark Lord like the Doomguy, with a power suit like the Praetor. I was expecting a fight like with the Marauder but harder.
@@generalalduin9548 pretty sure the Doom games are done for now. The Slayer's goal was to kill the head of the snake which he did. Hell isn't a threat anymore and is just a remnant of a bygone era. Only time he'll be needed again is if hell breaks out
@@SoldierOfFate I didn't say destroyed I mean non threatening after the event of ancient gods. The Dark Lord was what was commanding them in a cohesive manner and hell is locked away. Only time it'll be a threat is if someone breaks them out again
I Was expecting the boss fight akin to be a Smart Quake 1V1 Style wherein you and the Dark Lord utilizes all weapons. Such a disappointing and easy anticlimactic final boss. Much worse than the Icon of Sin And Spider Mastermind, Boss Battle Design wise.
I lowkey though Doomguy gonna fight the seven deadly sins demon Lucifer (Pride) Satan (Wrath) Leviathan (Envy) Belphagor (Sloth) Asmodeus (Lust) Beelzebub (Gluttony)
The Slayer's purpose has been fulfilled. He defeated Hell and saved humanity and the other realms from the Dark Lord and Hell so his war is over. The Slayer's purpose is such so that he wouldn't be needed anymore once its over.
Nope we'll have to wait for the next game, don't worry though people will praise this DLC as the best even though it created even more questions and left them unanswered.
@@iron_blyat6815 but they still had the ancient gods part one done during COVID so I don’t really see that as an excuse and if it was COVID I think this would’ve came out much later
And WTF Ending is that? I cant help but felt disappointed in this conclusion to the saga DLC2. Poor Boss Battle Design (And Easy) Lack Variety Of New Enemies Argent Warhammer felt lackluster The War Battle is just for show Soundtrack is Lackluster Surprisingly Easier than TAG 1. But hopefully just like what Hugo Said a while ago, this is not their best Doom Game Yet.
For me the boss battles is very hard but then again i got no sleep at alland probably just messing up the timings And hopefully this is what dlc In games starts being I want expansions not paying $15-30 for a bunch of pscks with skins and weapons and characters and stuff Real good dlc that earns its money
(The Doom Slayer punches Davoth in the face which causes him to stumble back. Davoth punches back and raised his Argent sword to land a lethal blow. Luckily, the Doom Slayer was quick and delived a brutal uppercut to Davoth's chin, causing Davoth to fall down. The Doom Slayer got on his back, and he implaed the handle of the Hellbreaker hammer on his right mechanical arm. Doom Slayer proceeded to grab Davoth behind the head and started to brutally and violently slam his head repeatedly on the ground. The metalic floor began to crack and bend as he was doing so. The Doom Slayer then ripped the Hellbreaker from the mechanical arm and was ready to deliver the finishing blow.) Doom Slayer: "This! Ends! Now!" (Doom Slayer raised the Hellbreaker and was about to deliver the killing blow, but received a brutal elbow to the face by Davoth. Davoth then looked back at the Doom Slayer and yelled at him in absolute rage.) Davoth: "THIS ENDS WHEN I SAY IT ENDS!!!"
I really didn't like how slow this boss is. This fight should have been hectic as fuck but instead it's just dodging this guy's stupidly slowly telegraphed attacks around a circular arena until eventually he does that punishable one, then both of you are just standng still and you pump him full of lead. This guy has NOTHING on the holt's possessed marauder. In fact dark lord's fight is worse in just about every way I can think of. I like this expansion but I am a little disappointed with this fight :(
If i had to reinvent this fight i would cahnge a few things. Firstly make him do more damage, 2 no hellhounds, only demons, maybe just keep the hell knights the whole way through, those are tough enough to be a problem but not insane like a marauder or something. 3 a shockwave attack that forces you to jump when he slams his shield down, 4 instead of a shotgun when you get too close like with the maurader, its a plasma riffle, and in the final phase it uses the lock on ability you use to kill spirits. 5 flamethrower. 6, a jump and smash attack for the dark lord similar to the hell knight or baron but much more devastating. 7. Attacks reminicent of the 7 sins.
The devs really do not know how to design boss fights. I mean really? I cringed when I realized you stun the "Dark Lord" and he gets stars circling above him like a cartoon character on Saturday morning.
Oh don't worry, that's for the game journalists who are too dumb to understand. I don't think they wouldve added it if more game journalists were big brain
@@Fiery_Latina_Goatchan_GF_681 Hes not dead, they will 100% bring him back in another doom game. And they will continue the franchise. Maybe we will get a doomgirl later on or play some dlc as The Betrayer.
Doom Eternal made 450 million dollars in revenue and that's just from the sales of the game itself. There will be at least one more game to complete the rebooted trilogy.
No. Hells Army is powered by Argent Energy, it flows through Hell. Everything connected to it goes away. Doom guy was given a power boost by Argent Energy a long time ago. So like the demons he also went down, unlike him he isn’t made purely of the stuff so he just got put into a coma. After that all they need to do is lock him up like last time.
I hate to say it, but this boss fight was crap. I think I spent over an hour going back and forth, not even dying. Icon of Sin was much more fun. Also, the ending? Not that great.
@@virusklaxsosaur4054 so what caused the creator to turn evil and “fall” then in the first place? It’s never explained. Unlike the lore of davoths fall which was established and built up lore wise well. Now we have more questions.
Gotta say, I was sorely disappointed by the Dark Lord boss fight. I was expecting some kind of new gimmick or tactic to master to fight him but nah. Just Marauder 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Legend of Spyro 4 Slayer Story ending Dark Lord: prepare to die! Doom Slayer: This end's now!!!! Spyro are you ready? Spyro: I'm ready Slayer Cynder are you ready? Cynder: I'm ready what you are my love Zirra Adalisk Zonoya Malefor Feurich Kindle Frillisean Heinous Maleficent: we are ready Flame and Ember: we are ready Hunter and Angela 45: we ready Doom Slayer: Now let's do it!!!
Something that confuses me is the dark lord is the almighty .... thats what the father said ..... but I don't belive the dark lord is really dead I think he got imprisoned back to hell ..... a few things just don't add up for me
Disappointing bossfight, too easy and overall stale. Just a health stealing maruader with a bigger health pool. But thank the lords that its in a seperate mission so you can enjoy shooting demons on all the 3 other levels without interference of this bad boy. The rest of the dlc had amazing open arenas with a lot of get-into-air capabilities and the hammer made getting out of cornered situations much easier and if used strategically could be the most devestating weapon in the entire game, other than the bfg of course. The dlc also forces you to not only use a variety of weapons but also a variety of weapon mods.
@@DoctahToboggan69 not really, you know what not at all. A good bossfight can be designed and made in like 2-3 months. Sometimes under a month depending on the game. And that isnt an excuse anyways, that shouldnt restrict my possibility to complain.
@@iron_blyat6815 I'm glad you know exactly how to design boss fights in a game, go ahead and tell id how they should create a boss fight in their own engine on a strict COVID timeline and see how far that takes you.
@@DoctahToboggan69 Mate, I know that it was made during covid. And Doom is my favourite series of all time. BUT what you dont understand is that I can still criticise a boss fight regardles of how and when it was made. Pls, stop bootlicking this bad boss fight and accept the thruth, it sucks. Its not their fault, but it sucks.
@@4f52 I was being sarcastic lol, I dont even know much about the DOOM universe, I saw a character wearing a suit resembling a devil I made a joke about it
only thing i don't like is that doom slayer is only awake when are the deamons attacking and he doesnt see the humanity normal for once in al long time
I'm ok with the idea of the dark lord boss battle being a mech fight (due to how doomguy gets a suit so it's only fair that the dark lord gets some form of armor) but they could've at least made it to where the dark lord doesn't get stunned, has more demonic attacks, does more damage, not to mention just make the battle more harder in general, like seriously the dark lord is supposed to be doomguy's equal like WTF
