I just received my slate medium Florentine satchel, and I am also in love with this color. Sshhhh......don’t tell, but I mix and match my Coach novelty straps onto my Dooney Florentine satchels, and it is a whole new mood! This slate color works with almost all of my beautiful novelty straps.

Your beautiful bag is smooth and shiny. Mine arrived evenly textured and I love it. I feel like it either needs to be all smooth or evenly textured. The color is gorgeous and my favorite Dooney grey I love the blue undertone. I had Charcoal and sold it I wish I had it to compare. I'll have to have my coworker who now has it carry it the same day I carry my slate. Love the video!
Tfs wow none of mine have the flat bottom. I didn’t even know they made this change. I actually like it ... I’m excited about it because I love the med satchel. I also love structured bags. I think the flat bottom will help structure the bag even more than the rounded earlier ones. Slate is a stunning color. Tfs xoxo 😘💼👜

I just got 2 bags in that color and I am in LOVE with it!!! I got a Fern small satchel and I'm on the fence about it...very pebbled. I thought I would like Fern better, but in person...SLATE is amazing!!! AND it is smooth on both the Cameron satchel and Micro Satchel.
OMG I know right! Its seriously such a beautiful color I'm DEAD! Fern... no so much! I absolutely HATED the one I got it was just not for me at all. We'll see about this other bag I ordered in Fern.....TFW 💖
The salmon, steel blue, and ecru Florentine bags are a different Florentine texture. Softer, more matte finish. I think they did that to sustain those brighter colors. But this one is definitely the traditional Florentine, made to patina, leather. Love your videos. Keep um coming. "I can't breath"🤣🤣🤣

I've been thinking about getting the satchel but I was afraid it was going to be a hard leather. I'm going to take a look at that slate because it looks a lot nicer in your vid than on the DB site.
You’re suffocating. LOL. I love my large one like yours in chocolate. I want the natural and maybe fern or a dark green in medium. Do you have any mediums you can show to compare to large?
Another great Flo vid! I'm still waiting (sigh) for my own Slate satchel, albeit in one of the sub-Small sizes, to arrive. Hoping this grey doesn't have a greenish or yellow cast like some greys can have. Also waiting for Bordeaux. I've steeled myself for it to be more brown than wine (I'd prefer the latter). A video on this season's version of Bordeaux would be very welcome!

The leather is different it's lighter as well as the inside pockets don't have the flap over button on the inside pockets as well. I own several being buying them for over 7 years, and I dislike the newr leather but they're still my favorites of the florentine line, along with the Dome Satchels.
