EDIT: Updated Guide: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-76xkk16qb3k.html FAQ: Q: Does this work on console? A: Some people have reported it working on XBox, though I haven't heard about other platforms. I'll keep continually updating this comment as I have updates. Q: I can't seem to connect, even though I entered the IP and port correctly! A: Make sure you enter "127.0.0.1" (without the port), and then leave the port as "7777" when prompted. Entering "127.0.0.1:7777" all together, then entering the port as "7777", will cause the connection to fail. Also, try using a copper pickaxe; I forgot to mention this in the video, but slower pickaxes are better, to avoid breaking unwanted blocks. Folks seem to be having success with the other method, too, so try giivng that a go as well.
This also works on PS4/PS5 too. I used two separate consoles to do it. I found the door and coin step a bit harder than the pc version but i was able to get some items at the end
I feel like this would be easier to follow if you used something like gemspark blocks that make it really clear what tiles are where and how they are hammered. The wall tiles and jagged edges of the stone and dirt can make it a bit confusing
Would the method seen in ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uGlW-i6NtPg.html at around 0:23 make a desync? Or does this method not work for this use case?
That looks like another potential method for causing a desync- the outcome seems quite similar. Would need to dig more into it to know for sure, though.

so I could not get the door to desync I think I built everything correct but are there any common issues that might be the problem? the only thing I've noticed differently as well with mine was that the hoik was a lot more faster and going back and forward more.
Can confirm you can do this on ps5 and you’re pretty safe as in it won’t just break on you, you must do step 2 before anyone leaves and reverse the roles of this vid, as in whoever hosts is player 2. Step 3/ the campfire you can do by yourself and something to note it that the glitches won’t work in multiplayer at the very least the door transmogrification
Also to note the doors DO NOT! change in the same way as shown in the next vid, you can craft a steampunk door with 6 cogs at the steampunk lab (lab isn’t the right word but I forgot, if unsure hit up the wiki) and you can then rotate through items as shown, the torches will eventually finish their cycle and you won’t get an item if you go that far (no stress just break the door then torches, in that order as I’ve had the blocks update and ruin my hat. I’ll be testing more tonight to try n figure out the zenith thing as that’s the only thing I came for
@@kjs0urge 5 cogs to make the steampunk door and then you can get zenith it’s deep in the roles but it’s there, all the unobtainable items aren’t there but the sprites are they won’t drop anything tho so yeah be aware of that
There's a new one-instance method- Check out the Transmutation Playlist and look for the "one-instance" method. Alternatively, I'm working on a video which will explain everything from that new method to the Campfire glitch in one place. Ideally that will be done within a week.... ish.
I don't think so, unfortunately- You'd need two different devices to attempt it, and I've never tried it on mobile. The mechanics are likely different.
WORKS ON XBOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!! Player 1 was the visitor(FRIEND) Player 2 was main account Once the visitor clears the are in the last tutorial, main account can do all the broken stuff by themselves
How did u do it? Like do u mean a actual guest account? Or do i use a 2nd account im using 2nd account cant get the door to be invisible i tried a bunch it dont go invis
Someone else tested on console (not sure which version) and hasn't had much luck. So, unfortunately it seems like this specific de-sync glitch is PC-only. There are other methods of de-syncing which have already been discovered which I hope to cover in the future. Those might work on console, but that is pure speculation.
Due to version differences, Host and Play on PC and Host and Play on console function a little differently, leading to differences in the initial setup. To perform the setup on Console, you'll need to either a.) Join a server, and set it up there or b.) Have a friend join when you’re hosting, and have them set it up for you. This is due to version differences with how hosting works. On PC, hosting actually makes you a client to a server hosted in the background. On console, you are the host, meaning de-syncing doesn’t work. Hence why you need to connect to the server or have someone else connect- being the Host when using Host and Play won’t work, unfortunately. Once the setup is complete, the glitch should function identical to PC. Hope this helps^^! Also, use the method shown in the video below. It's much newer & faster: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-76xkk16qb3k.html
There's a new method which needs only one game instance! Give this a try- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0vp6XgoUOz4.html Let me know how it goes^^ I'm hoping to make an updated guide with as much info on other OS' and platforms as possible (i.e Mac, Linux, PS4, etc.)
Try the one-instance method, which was discovered about 48 hours after posting this- See the Transmutation Playlist for more info. (Look for "one instance method")
This is done through Steam multiplayer- You can connect to your own Steam multiplayer server via the localhost IP as shown here (127.0.0.1). If you want to have a friend join through Steam as per usual, that works fine too. (Tested recently.)
They do, yes. If on console, it has to be in multiplayer, _and_ you can't be the host. So, you need to join someone else's server. Also, use the methods in the video below instead. This method is very old lol ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-76xkk16qb3k.html
I tried to do the solo version that's pinned in the comments on my console and it didn't work, the trapdoor used for it wouldn't vanish, but it would be glitched by not breaking when it stopped being supported.
It does work on console! You just need online multiplayer of some sort- Split screen does not work as it's not "true" multiplayer according to the game.
Interesting- Not the first time I've heard that the Playstation version has issues getting it to work. There is one other method, but as far as I know it's PC-only. Feel free to give it a go, however- You never know what might happen!: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0vp6XgoUOz4.html
Look at the pinned comment, there is a video on a solo one. I tried it on my os4 but the trapdoor used in it wouldn't vanish, it would however, glitch by not breaking at all while not being supported.
The answer is "Kindov". Desync glitches work on console _but_ only on dedicated servers. This means that, you'll either need to find a dedicated server to connect to, or you'll need to connect to a friend's device. Locally hosting does not work unfortunately. However, once you get past that hurdle, the rest of Transmutation works as expected.
Try entering "127.0.0.1" and then leaving the port as default. Alternatively, use this way better method I'm making a video on soon instead: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0vp6XgoUOz4.html
I'm not sure- as far as I know this only works for PC, as given the extremely particular nature of these bugs I'm not sure they'd exist in other versions.
@@EthyrielY ah, i was hoping that there was a way to do it on a different system. these bugs look like they could be fun to mess around and experiment with but i don't have a pc currently
This video is super outdated- This video explains what you need to do, and is way more up to date- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-76xkk16qb3k.htmlsi=2hdhEK8pELySUuC8
Give this method a go- It’s far newer (compared to the one shown in this video), only needs one player, and is overall more consistent. (You’ll still need to be in “Host and Play” though. Important step.) Video link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0vp6XgoUOz4.html (Only works on PC as far as I know, though.)
@@cursedgamer2778 Actually, yes. Give this a go- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0vp6XgoUOz4.html I haven't tested this myself but someone else discovered it and it seems promising.
"This door might be de-synced, but it's not de-synced in a way that's useful to us" Is it not useful to you in the same way that chest glitch wasn't useful to you despite turning out to effectively be an invincibility bug?
I typed the ip address letter by letter and it still doesnt work. Is there anything im doing wrong? I have two instances of terraria open, hosted a world, and then typed in the address you showed around 0:48.
Hrrm, strange. Try entering 127.0.0.1 (without the port), and then leaving the port as default when prompting. I just tested it, and if you type "127.0.0.1:7777" and then also enter the port as "7777", it won't connect. But if you enter "127.0.0.1" and then "7777" as the port, it works." Hope this helps!
This video makes no sense by itself, and is very old at this point. See this instead for what it's actually doing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-76xkk16qb3k.html
