The reason i think transmutation wont be patched is because its a result of the games absolute code spaghetti, and it will be hard for the devs to find the source and end up fixing it rather than just breaking the whole game

Shimmer is OP af. You can get infinite iron and infinite chlorophyte. You can get infinite iron by shimmering the anvils bought by the merchant. And you can get infinite chloropyte by shimmering luminite.

The falloff is indeed bad, with ~100 clicks getting you 5x the ore of breaking the first demon altar, and 10,000 clicks only being around ~10x the ore of the first demon altar. But technically speaking, you could turn the entire world into ore with enough time.
