If you ever leave them a card or a flyer, just know that it ends up in the trash the second they close the door. There’s a reason while door to door sales never leave any information, it’s useless.
Decent door hangers get, on average, a 1-2% success rate. Sometimes as high as 5. Literally just handing out cards to everybody you meet gets about .5-1%. The rate is low, but it's cheap and takes very little time. There's a reason there are entire businesses who just distribite them, and that's because they work. Most sales tactics have low success rates, but sales is a numbers game.
I don’t do door to door sales but idk where you got the idea that it’s useless. Ik ppl making over 300k a year doing sales not necessarily “ door to door “ but they have leads and knock doors and have to sell
Nah, people don’t buy what they don’t understand and making a personal experience as a good salesman will leave a real lasting impression especially since they get those flyers all week every week
You're absolutely wrong. I'm a door knocker myself... Most people are to stupid to comprehend anything about what they're purchasing. If you overload them with too many details it hurts their tiny brains, and they won't buy. (had this happen multiple times trying to explain what Price Protection means)
@@rcharmel9316depends then. In Solar with 30k-100k loans being sold you literally have to be thorough at the door then do a hour or more of just explaining once inside and then signing can take another 2 hours
@@rcharmel9316I can tell you are a terrible salesperson based off your first statement. People aren't stupid and if you are in solar or roofing they are a lot more apprehensive. I do agree you shouldn't overload initially, but you should try to leave an impression if possible, especially after you have assumed the sale and they are locked in. If you don't provide enough information then buyers remorse is likely to set in. You can get them to buy by solely disclosing information but if you can get them to buy YOU not just the service or product then why not go for it?? Leaving a lasting impression doesn't mean overload you can simply do that just off your energy.
You’re simply jealous of window guys. You should be ashamed of yourself and start knocking doors. Your whole existence is upon a lie and you seems to be too scared to try something new that can be better then living with your parents 😂😂😂
Ive signed up construction workers and workers that are working at a home. Just pitch them like normal and say. “Were really just talking to anyone in the area, if not these home owners im even more glad to be speaking to u” or something
If the kids are the only ones home I just leave the business card with my name number and smiley face written down personally every time and 4 out of 10 parents typically call back
Everyone and everything that knocks on my door is greeted with a pew pew! AND everything and anything that is handed to me goes straight to the trash. If I need anything, I go and get it myself if I can’t get it, I’ll call someone. ( if I NEED to) Have a good day.
LMAOOO with renters I just ask “do you have any problems with the roof” and if they say no then I follow up with “well it’s not yours so you probably don’t care as long as it doesn’t affect you right?” No need to waste time, just make them laugh and move on
Never give a card or brochure to someone... Thats THEIR polite way of saying their not interested. Customers i do business with are the ONLY people who get a business card...unless its a very solid comeback.
@SCP_BrightAlt, It's not trespassing unless you've already knocked on their door and they asked you to leave and you decided not to, it's not illegal to knock on someone's door.
Door-to-door solicitation has become a primary ploy of murderous home invading felons. Find another way to pay the bills because you guys are worse than telemarketers. A phone ring doesn't make my dog bark or interrupt what I am busy doing or waste my time.
@@myleshourigan160 I live behind a metal-clad fortified solid core front door with a loaded bullpup at the ready because the governor of my state would rather coddle felons than protect law-abiding, tax-paying voters. That's where I live.
Don’t bother people, leave them alone, don’t approach their house, this is not a way to make money, it’s a way to get shot for trespassing on private property
