⚡️Now that you understand the DoorDash app, let's go over 20 expert tips to make more money: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ri6bZWmkT1w.html
Informative video but unless I missed it. I didn't hear anything about drop off orders. As far as, taking a picture showing that the order was dropped off or gas app or reimbursement, if that's applicable
First-time Dasher here. Thank you so much for all your help. I feel a lot more confident about going out on my first drive after watching this a dozen times. 😆 I'll probably be back for more later. 😁 Thank you!
@@marielysbeauty2487 it’s actually really easy. I was just nervous for some reason to do the first one, just go on the app. Hit dash now, then once ur on the clock, just drive to a busy area that’s has several restaurants, the app will also show you hot spots, you will get a message on the app and it well show you how far the customer is and how much money you will be making, then u just go to the store, a lot of places want you to go inside, once you go to the store, the screen will have u “slide after arrival,” and it will give u the name, say “I have a doordash for so and so” u can also check on ur phone what the order is so u can double check it ur self, but I usually only do that to see if there is drinks or something, a lot of places seal the bag so u can’t check the food only the drinks, then confirm your pick up on the app, it will tell u where the customer is and you can click directions, the customer can specify directions, as like some people don’t what you to ring the doorbell cause they have a baby sleeping or something, just leave it at the door, u can text then there food is there or u can just leave, then hit complete order and you will get money plus tips. Don’t except orders that don’t tip, u will figure out eventually how to tell if they tipped or not. Then just drive back to the hotspot. Some times to do it are for breakfast in the morning, and like for dinner. 5pm to 9pm is usually pretty busy. I used to do it as a full time job but I got a actual job now so just do it for some extra side cash.
Why does the starting point want me to start in a town 20 miles away in my district? I wanna start and deliver in the town I live in. Someone please help. It's so confusing.
Good video Mike. I find that on time percentages is trash.... I noticed on some stack orders , once I accept, the delivery time is either five minutes or past the time I should of arrive. Which means those deliveries sat in the que due to low pay or long miles. I talked with support and they say it should not hurt your percentage, but it does. Something I think you and your followers should keep an eye on when excepting stack orders or orders in general. Thanks for the good tips.
When you go to a hot spot and get a job that takes you away from the hot spot area, do you go back to the hot spot and continue to wait for jobs to come in there?
I’ve been delivering since I was 17 for my uncles pizzerias in some of the toughest areas of Boston and been working in the food industry for a long time in general so I know almost instinctively what the customer wants just by seeing them, I wonder if providing DoorDash/Uber eats one on one training would be something that people would be interested in to maximize their earnings. I’ve applied my experience when doing Uber eats and I’ve never gone below 98% rating. And the money is good.
We are new to doordash and have lots of questions. We've done for just 2 days. My husband and I are active seniors and interested in adding to our income. We are confused about some things and need assistance. Where is the best way to get questions answered. Been listening to a few of your youtubes and they are very helpful. Would like to be able to ask specific questions to a person. We are in Los Angeles.
I keep getting a error saying “dasher must be active to schedule dashes” everytime i hit dash now or i try to schedule anything, anybody know what that means or what i have to do?
Help please. I applied to become a dasher. Background check was taking forever. I just checked on the app today and it says "dash now" but I can't select a time to drive. It says "must be active" what does that mean ? What should I do? Please help 🙏 thank you!
So I just started but it won’t let me schedule any times for delivery . It said I don’t need a red card and that the card and hot bag would come in after my first delivery, but I can’t schedule because “driver is not active”. Any idea how to fix this?
Can someone pleaseeee tell me how the application verified my drivers license? Is it via picture or copies of front and back or just my DL number? I am concerned because my new hard copy is delayed due to COVID
Hi Ashanti, when it comes to your driver application that's on DD's end. Everything you do during the application is digital so there's no need to send in photocopies. I would reach out to DD support.
Hay want to know about account set up how do you get paid, and what to write down. Your the boss!? keeping track of your money" for tax purposes dose it matter what you claim 🤔 how dose that work also what too know, witch is better" direct deposit" Or the debit card?! way??
I have a question I live in Sterling Colorado with that moving forward I just got my card and if you know if I activate my red card how do you know if the money you make is in the card and also you don't have to set up a pin??/
How do you start a dash that is scheduled? I’ve done non scheduled ones and you just click dash now and the screen changes but I don’t see the screen change during my scheduled dash or see a button to click? I tried clicking dash now but it said there was a conflict with a scheduled dash.
Great videos, Mike! I’m new to DoorDash and the only thing I haven’t figured out is why the DoorDash app doesn’t portray the total miles but I’m going to need to drive to complete the, navigate to restaurant plus the navigate to customer total distance. - Requests are popping up and I’ve made mistakes, driving farther than I preferred to, when I didn’t have the miles info that I needed to make a good decision. Do you have a video that talks about this?
July 27 another DD ap update totally different from first of year maybe it's time you update on this lastest version it's missing a few things missing is the decline button second is the unassign button. Please help us
Definitely stay online, I feel like the closer you get to a hotspot or getting back into your marketplace the higher chance of getting an order (just a theory)
Your videos are very helpful Mike. I have a question, is it normal to receive text messages from DoorDash telling you where to go? I never hear anyone talk about it. I get text messages that may say "Go to Chick-fil-A" it's not in the app. There is no acceptance button. I am scrambling to see the text and then I receive a text saying it was given to another driver. I also do not see a decline button. I've talked with DoorDash and I only receive the same email saying "Try these trouble shooting tips."
Hey Mike. I enjoy your content. Question about Door Dash. I applied for Door Dash in March and was rejected because of an OWI from 2013. I'd like to re-apply. I'm currently driving for GrubHub and having a great time. I'd like to add Door Dash. Any clues on to how to re-apply? Thanks. Keep up the great work.
Hi Jim, I appreciate that. To my knowledge you would just try to sign up online again, that or reach out to support and see if there's a way to get on their platform. I would anticipate them saying you're ineligible though with the OWI, doesn't hurt to check.
***********I turned the dasher app for the 1st time today to see what it looked like when an order came through and my intention was to decline it and turn the app off but I couldn't figure out how to turn off or log off the app to stop request. Can you help me with this?????***********
Hi Andrew, no you don't need to be at a hotspot to receive orders but it should increase the chances of getting an order. As long as you're within your scheduled marketplace you can get orders, once you start driving outside of your scheduled marketplace I've seen requests drop off sharply.
My app looks different. It has most of the same features but yours is better. Are there different versions of it? I would appreciate if I could get an answer for that. Thanks
If push comes to shove and I get a much better order immediately after accepting a lesser one I'll do the same. I don't recommend doing that often as cancellation rate can lead to deactivation.
Ok, good news, I made 3 delivery's!!! I'm still having issues, like, not finding when I can turn down the job. I keep looking. So I just did 3 dsah now. I'm going to watch more video's. Thank-you so much!!!😁😁😁
@@YourDriverMike I haven't seen that yet. But I'll keep looking for it. I'm headed out in about 30 mins. I'm nit driving at night yet. But I did notice it's a 15.00 challenge at night!! Thank-you so much!!! My cell just buzzed. Not busy now. I've gotta to get going! 😷
No problem, your channel is very helpful. I run a cost control biz for companies during day... these gig opps are great after hour income and you do a great job spelling it all out. Thx
How long does it take for you to be able to start dashing after everything goes through, I was told by support it could be a week for me to be fully active and be able to actually start dashing... never heard of this happening to anyone before
Hi Diane, should just be a few weeks for the background check, that's the longest part. Once the background check goes through you should be activated.
@@YourDriverMike my background check went through right away, I set up my bank info and said ready to dash and red card will come after my first delivery but whenever I push ready to dash it takes me back to the previous screen 😕 I called support and they said sometimes it takes longer for some people to bece fully active and mine should by 10/29... I never heard of that before
@@dianek1683 hi diane!! Were you able to start? Im having problems also similar to yours. The difference is that whenever doordash accepted me and told me i was ready to dash i decided to wait until the next day. And on the next day whenever I open the app it wont let me see anything at all but a sign saying schedules are currently full we've added you to the waitlist . And it doesnt let me see the map, the schedules or anything else. Has that happen to you?. Also, at the same time im getting notifications from the app saying my area is busy i can start dashing now but i go and open the app and like i said it tells me im on the waitlist.
Thank you for the video. I did my first dash today. I had so much fun however I did a have a problem. I can't seem to figure out how to see the customers address before accepting delivery. All I could see were restaurant and tip amount. Ended up driving much further than I wanted to. Can you please explain how to find that information before I accept the delivery? Thank you
Man , living in Orlando sucks. Highest peak pay I’ve ever seen is like $2.50 1 time. It’s usually just a measly dollar for 3 hours only. Just terrible terrible pay.
Unfortunately from what I've seen over the years FL consistently shows some of the lowest gig economy pay. Really study those trends across apps to maximize the pay that is offered
hello sir,,, could it be possible for the dash now button to not appear due to the lack of busy areas in my location? Im in Dallas TX and just installed the aspp, got the account and see now red shaded areas or anything...!!!! thank u sir
I’m having the same issue! Where it says "Dash Now" for you, it says "navigate" for me. Confused on how I start my first Dash. Where do I find the "Dash Now" button
@@YourDriverMike Guess it is, I going to a RED ZONE to see if it opens this morning. if it doesn't open, I'm going to call in a lunch, & ask the driver to help me..
