DoorDash Deactivate me for doing this… Why No Tip Customers are Disrespecting Dashers and what we should do about it! Keep your dasher account Safe by Reporting Clown Customers. #doordash #doordasher #scammer #tipping #fooddelivery
You know what I hate is that DD usually hides the no tippers on stacked orders. So one customer leaves a nice tip, but has to wait longer for their food because we’re doing a second order for a miserable clown.
I absolutely hate that and usually the miserable clown gets their delivered first to pieces of worthless garbage amen Pedro for this. I needed to hear this. I was out the other night from seven in the evening to one in the morning and made $44 just to keep a 70% acceptance rate Fthat
@@teetoo3790then they can't afford to be using DD then it's a service it's not the drivers fault DD charges what they do so you think drivers should work for a few dollars each order that's ridiculous if you can't tip then you should eat at home or go get the food yourself
I believe if they can afford to order off the DD platform then they can afford to tip if not then they shouldn't be ordering because DD doesn't pay drivers enough to have to deliver food to people that can't tip
I did DD for 5 days - one week The last order I ever took was: A hospital delivery for 5 people Waited at Panera and waited 10 min for someone to come down to pick up the 3 bags of food NO TIP That was my LAST delivery 🖕🖕🖕
I understand but this isn't your line of work. You're not going to get tipped every order. It is what it is and it shouldn't be allowed. Unfortunately it is and people LOVE abusing it. Why DD doesn't require even a paltry $2 tip is beyond me.
Sorry to hear that. If you get back to driving what I recommend is leave it at the er area or at the main entrance in a secure area. I dont wait for hospital employees and never had any problems
I had my very first contract violation yesterday since I started in February , the customer put the wrong apartment number and I delivered to that door later I received a smart ass message saying “too bad you delivered to the wrong apartment but thanks anyways” and I replied with the same attitude. She reported it was never delivered even though I’m sure she went and got it because it a building over from hers. The offer was for 2.75 across the street from my location, it was a pity acceptance 😂 it’s also the non/low tippers who want the most done for little pay!
I delivered a predawn breakfast meal to a customer in a mobile home (trailer trash) park. It was totally black outside. I pulled up in the dead of night and delivered to what I thought I was his address.33A (there were 2 doors on 33). Within seconds of delivering to his address, 33A neighbor apartment At 12 feet from the delivery door, he starts messaging & ripping on me that I didn't deliver to his trailer!!! Within seconds, I turned around , but by the time I got back, he snatched his food, he got on the phone with doordash and got me a contract violation while his eating his breakfast. Not delivered.
@@SlimPippinHustlini had a guy actually throw me a xtra 2 bucks for trying to get a hold of him for a substitute drink at mcds and he stayed in the hood too. Surprised the hell out of me
I hope this doesn't lead to any tribal clan wars between customers and dashers, because the more rage I am seeing on RU-vid at no-tip customers seems to be headed for conflict.
Hes too entitled lmao, he takes a job knowing it doesnt pay well, then when it doesnt pay well he blames the customer instead of taking it up with his employer. You cant make this stuff up. Service workers are some of the most lazy and entitled losers on the planet, literally begging for money like bums on the street. Videos like this remind me that none of them derserve any of our money, everyone else on the planet does their job without having to guilt and blackmail the customer for extra money. Its pathetic.
Uh yea bc if it were me and i caught wind of this oh yea im putting in some court docs im sueing any and everyone i can...and ur name calling like a kindergardener...whaaaaa oh i didnt get a tip but did u die!!! I did DD ..uber..lyft..and uber eats ive NEVER cried about a tip if they tip im grateful. If i dont i was a blessing ro someone today. I dont act like a whole child
tipping in the US has gotten so far out of hand. its part the part of people feeling entitled to getting a tip. It is literally gotten to wear people will bully customers who can not afford to tip. its disgusting.
Just tell Doordash you didn't feel safe on this delivery and want to be blocked from receiving future orders from this person. These are 100% the people who report order not received
I reported a customer as unsafe due to hazardous driveway conditions (1/4 of a mile country driveway on gravel with major potholes risking bottoming out in my sedan, conditions so bad only a truck should be driving on. They sent me out there again the next week... /slow clap for DD.
I've had them block a few houses for me because I felt unsafe one having a massive pothole in the driveway but they wouldn't block a trailer park where some kids playing basketball in the street wouldn't let me by and threw something at my car
I never feel bad when I take a no tippers food order and wait the ten minutes in the parking lot to unassigned it penalty free. DD makes us take these orders in my zone just so we can schedule, so screw the scumbags.
I have done this on no tip orders, keeps the AR up, even if it was actually ready. I just mark arrived as soon as app lets me, sometimes its at a traffic light close pickup , Shaves a few mins off waiting to unassign. lol I even do this on good orders, incase they tell me 20 mins or so. Faster I hit arrived, the faster I can unassign. Unless its a + catering order. I'll wait a bit for that. lol
A tip is optional. Reporting people for not tipping is ridiculous. Ya’ll should be mad at these apps that don’t pay you a livable wage rather than the customers. Or be mad at yourself for whatever you did that caused you to have to rely on these apps to make money.
Would you: -drive 2.5 miles to the restaurant -wait 0 - 30 minutes to pick up food (you never know) -drive 5 miles to the cutomer -pay for your own gas -drive back 5-7 miles to where all the restaurans are for $2? (im not exaggerating) You were scammed sir. What you thought was "a little something extra to sweeten the pot" is completely offset by the untenable base pay.
I recently did a Shop & Pay on UberEats at Target. The pay was $15.02 going about 7.5 miles in a favorable direction. It was a quick 7 item shopping order. Took it to the customer and the $15.02 turned out to be all base pay, no tip. It was also a hand to me, but she had to give me a PIN. I was not impressed.
It's bad but but at least you got the full pay without a hassle. I got tip baited twice in the same week on uber shop and delivers where they removed the tip completely. After speaking to a uber supervisor I got the money back after both times and won't receive those individuals orders again but it takes 30 minutes calling uber each time.
You should've refused to give them their order until they give the pin. I had a couple try that with me. After playing dumb for a bit she says can I just get my pizza? I said ya when you give me the pin. They all of a sudden knew the pin # lol
I think it is really a shame that we dashers get punished for declining a nontipper order. And those $2 dollars orders are really a disgrace. And we are supposed to be independent contractors, I beg the differ.
Facts 💯 I've always said it DD needs to implement minimum orders of $6 nothing less! Who the hell is going to be motivated to start there car and deliver a $2-3 order? It's absolutely ridiculous, it's an insult and a slap in the face. It's downright disrespectful and humiliating.
I really don't understand why doordash is so obsessed with no tip orders. I see so many of those orders sitting on the shelf. So, ultimately, they end up being refunded. So doordash ends up losing a ton of money.
@@bballah9969that’s why the sh it stain customer Pedro was talking about , who didn’t leave a tip , called him a brokie . These types have zero respect or appreciation of any kind for delivery drivers . In fact , it feels more like distain , and a “ im better than you “ attitude. And I also feel that coming from some restaurant workers. Think again ! You make the food - we deliver it . Being a whopper flopper , You aren’t better than anyone fr
I decline all orders that i know aren't tipping. They're not worth my gas time or energy. Its amazing how many there are out there when you see tons of orders sitting on shelves and they are ice cold. Thats when the restaurant starts giving that food away or throwing it out completely to make room for other orders. A word of advice... when you order through any food delivery app, the food gets made, but the dashers are not picking it up because there is no tip or no tip and a bunch of miles! So it means you must get it yourself someway somehow.
I mean, you can also say this after you delivered to the No-Tippers as well: Thank you for teaching me that the best rewards are the ones we don't get. Have a great day! 😊
I had one of those orders before. Lady started cussing me out because the store didn’t have a few items. I unassigned but it made me unhappy because my completion rate was 100.
If that situation happens again, contact support and tell them you do not feel safe because the customer is harassing with inappropriate language. Bonus points if the dumbass customer ignorantly uses in app chat. Support should unassign without penalty.
@@drewwhezzy only the orders I actually unassign are a waste. If there’s something wrong at the restaurant, I call support and they give me half pay and cancel the order.
I just unassigned a DoorDash order for CVS because the customer just added extra items and I’m not getting paid any extra for that. I’m not doing that for five dollars.
My family owns New York Grill & I can confirm the scams customers play. They will come and pick up their order just to get door dash credits as if a driver stole the food. That’s why we got stricter with requiring drivers to show us their phone & the confirmation of order pick ups. It costs the driver/restaurant/the platform.
I'm a manager at a taco bell store I be going thru this of these drivers stealing food then another driver having come 4 pickup for that same person soo annoying then having to remake an order sometimes and as a ubereats n doordasher myself I get asked to show my phone for confirmation and hell I even went to another taco bell to pick up an order 4 customer just to be told that order was already picked up so I had contacted customer and he never got his food and he told me the doordash driver was sitting in his car for 1 hour so contacted doordash about the issue it was ridiculous and waste of my time
How can they pick up an order they place on the app ? Don't they have to show the order with the name of the customer on the phone when getting the food ?
@@LXRD-SUPREME-it's a couple scenarios where they can slide thru the cracks. If the restaurant is super busy they might just ask for the name and hand it to you in a hurry. Another instance is when some establishments sit the orders on a shelf and u can just grab it. Zaxby's definitely does this. Certain Truetts do it too. Just grab and go lol. Shit is wild
@@miltchamberlain6218 Thanks for explaining. Because here in Los Angeles alot of restaurants demand and make sure that you confirm the order before you leave , not just verify. This is uber eats though.
You're in the wrong here pedro. And you're not even upset that she didn't tip. You're upset because you didn't know what to expect. Had you known what to expect before the order you wouldn't have been this upset. You need to think like a brand. Not an ic. That'll clear up a lot of frustrations
If you accept the order then it must make financial sense to take it regardless of a tip or not. If the order does not make at least a $1.50 per mile rate then do not take it, Yes it is that simple then you have no reason to complain. In closing I never base my deliveries on whether or not a customer includes a tip $1.50 and up per mile is all you need to worry about.....
Tips are not required, gig workers will never understand this. Their pay is between them and their employer. Ultimately these gig workers are so upset because they cant accept reality, that ultimately its their own fault they are in the situation they are in. Of course these entitled gig workers would rather blame everyone else than ever take any personal responsibility. They literally beg for money like a homeless person on the street. They have no decency.
@@ChadHowarth That doesn't help their argument. If they want to be independent contractors, then that is even less reason to tip them. That means they have full control over the jobs they take and can reject ones that they don't want. If someone offers no tip, then just don't take the job, you're an independent contractor after all. Problem solved.
if amazon can figure out a way to get people their stuff from accross the country without requiring a tip (and often times cheaper than it would be at the local store)- doordash can figure it out as well.
4 years in the gig economy, seems like the gig work is long term Pedro! What is the plan to transition out gig work like you have said before in the beginning of other videos??
When customer tip high, DoorDash lower the base pay and when customer don’t tip, base pay is slightly higher. The other day, I deliver to a no tip customer going 3.5 miles for $8 base pay no tip and I also pick up another order going 3.5 miles for $8.5, base pay was $3.5 and customer tip $5. I think DD is fucking the dasher and the customer over.
Yeah, this video violated the customer privacy. 😮showing their last name. Pedro you are a leader and influencer in the gig economy community, SO Use this momentum building your own "kingdom". Everything happens for a good reason. You can do Much Better!!!
@@Captainlevi777 He continues to maintain an aggressive and disrespectful posture towards this person. Whether you think he's justified or not , saying whatever you want can be met with unpleasant consequences. He's already had one idiot roll up on him for having their name mentioned in a video.
@@UncleB71 What did he say that should be met with consequences? 🤣 Sounds like u just have a problem with it and didn't like what you heard. And what person rolled up on him? How did it turn out?
So you’re blaming others for YOU accepting a job YOU have the ability to decline? Of course they’re trash for not tipping, but the orders were obviously worth it since you did accept them.
Being angry at not getting a tip when you are a contractor and can simply decide to not serve clowns is pretty odd. In a market like Pedro's you do not need top dasher.
Well you can’t actually see that there isn’t a tip until after delivery. I would never knowingly accept an order without a tip but doordash goes out of its way to conceal these customers.
@@SupersquishyawesomenessIf it was 2 stores for $10 it should have been fairly obvious there was no tip. I’m sorry I’m not going to 2 stores for $10. It would have be paying at least $15 for 2 stores.
@@ladytea697 seems to me a lot of dashers complained about a 2.50 base pay or a 2.25 base pay. They use to say if base pay was higher then they wouldnt need to rely on tips. This fool gets 10 and 12 dollars base pay and he is still bullying people for not tipping on top of that.
You need to get a new job because it seems like you're stressing while the customer laughing there ass off it's just not worth it you're car takes a lot of the beating 😅😅😅😅 there's two type of clowns the customer and the person working for doordash there the worst company you could ever work for
Facts 💯 I've always said the same it's part of the game, suck it up and move on. If you're going to consistently get mad and cry about not getting tipped you in the wrong line of work but Pedro obviously doesn't understand or get that because he hasn't adapted 🤣🤣🤣
If you type 0.00 in the tip section, the app/website should pop up a message saying "are you sure you want someone to run this errand for you for free?" and if they hit the Yes button, it should say "Ok, but would you run this errand for free?" and if they hit Yes again, it should say "ok, your order is cancelled, go get it yourself" :D
Definition TIP=a sum of money given to someone as a reward for their services....a reward why would i pre tip you!!!! A tip comes once the job is completed. I tip you in advance there is no telling what you might do... Only in america are ppl tip hungry most countries find it offensive and rude!!! But hey its the us thats why the world thinks we are a bunch of weirdos!!!
@@Diamond-Doll To be fair, they probably shouldn't call it a tip. Put yourself in the driver's position. Someone orders food from a restaurant 8 miles away from them. You get offered the assignment. The BASE is $2. The rest is all "tip". Would YOU, as the driver, accept an offer of $2 to hop in your personal vehicle, drive (from wherever you are) to the restaurant and then drive it 8 miles (and if that takes you out of zone, you probably need to drive all the way back to get another offer)? If not, then the person asking for the food should probably just go get it themselves. Or they need to "tip" enough to make it worth the effort.
Maybe you should go into another line of work if this is how you feel about your current profession. Tips are optional , not required and shouldn’t be expected so stop whining.
I always tipped but not as HIGH as I do now until I started DD DD is a blessing and a curse with letting anyone join but it shows the importance of tipping
Ok. As a driver who’s done thousands of trips I will tell you it’s very hard to get any sympathy. We do this voluntarily, have no boss, no set work schedule, no work uniform or attire, no restriction to where we can work or what location. If we don’t like it, we can always enter the official workforce. We just have to accept that some people are not going to tip and it’s a grind. If you can’t, then maybe this isn’t for you. 9-5 people deal with all the factors I just named, Yea. Some people don’t tip and some Tip a lot. It is what it is. It averages out the more trips you do. No sense in ranting about it, nobody cares.
They should have a way for Drivers to rate customers, and customers that are rated low enough just get declined. Of course, Doordash will never do it because they are more worried about losing customers than losing drivers.
There you go!!!! Who would accept an order under $10 anyway that should be the bare minimum. They (company) screw us (customers & drivers) over by all their fees!! I did a DD order and realized how much they take cheesecake slice from ccf is $10-$12 customer paid triple for the delivery $28+ only paid me $5 for job...who is really screwing whom!!
Pedro Since you have done this video. I would recommend to block out the last name of Kimesha. She could sue you for this as a violation of privacy. You could also be sued by Door Dash as well.
I am a truck driver. When i get home from work i dont wanna drive anywhere to eat so ill order. A place 1.7 miles from my house. i order the same thing twice a week. EVERY WEEK. Sugested tip is always 2.50. I tip 5-6 bucks. depending on my mood. I asked a dasher how much the order was he said 9.50. so 9.50 for a quick pickup at a fast food joint 1 mile away i feel is a good call. I asked him and he said he accepted it so fast. lol So now i dash for fun when im not working and i have never been so mad and disapointed at customers in a long time and i use to bea tow truck driver for AAA so im seasoned around entitled stupid people. (yes AAA customers are shit, no tip having you go above and beyond. they pay once a year. but dont tip when they need real help? lol sad.) I HATE PEOPLE. I DONT LIKE THIS FEELING
You make a lot of good points. Appreciate the info on helping us protect our accounts. I had to verify today my identity. I was only scheduling. Thought that was odd, but it's a good thing. People shouldn't behave in this manner. These guys probably shouldn't use the app due to financial reasons to begin with.
I have found that the non tippers are the first to give a bad rating, even though you do everything right. That is also when you do earn by time you get lots of non tippers.
If I was working/owned/whatever for Doordash, I would deactivate him too after this video. Who would want someone who is capable of releasing a video like this, working for them? I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting him to be deactivated this quickly, but there you have it. Pedro, you said you were going to be more positive going forward. You should have listened to YOURSELF.
My ratings always get wrecked when I have to take a picture or hand me orders. Luckily, you can get them removed as long as they do not specify a reason.
I had a lady who worked in the leasing building of an apartment complex order Chik-fil-a and I had no idea 105-00 was the leasing building. I'm seeing 130-00 to 632-03 but couldn't find her number anywhere. I tried calling, tried texting and got no reply. I started asking people walking their dog or people pulling up to their building and they didn't know where 105-00 was either. Finally I found a maintenance guy on a golf cart who pointed out the leasing office and she wasn't even there so I left it with a co-worker who joked about eating it before she got back. It only takes a second to put in the notes "building 105-00 is the leasing office, off to the left when you first pull in." GPS had me way on the other end.😡😤 And don't even get me started about trailer parks with uneven gravel roads that could damage your car, trailers without numbers and the GPS taking you to some random spot. 🙄
My acceptance rate fell from 80 to 66 in two 4 hr shifts. Bc yes I accepted a low tip order $1.50 the other day.. it was a leave at door but dude was sitting across the street and wanted me to hand it to him. I said no I have to take a pic at the drop off address bc I didn't trust him.. and surprise surprise I got a 2 star rating right after that. Good reminder of why I don't take those orders to begin with. It's raining here all night and I can't believe people would not tip or tip a dollar so I didn't take any B's and yeah 14% drop in acceptance rate in two days. Not Fair 😑
Good point! And the other problem is the person that gives a 1, 2, or 3 rating, I believe they have to say their reason. Doordash should tell us what went wrong. We should be able to dispute a crappy rating.
You don't like no-tip orders, but you're fine with migrants stealing your orders, some of which have tips. All those sarcastic texts do is put you at risk of being deactivated. Customers don't care how you feel about it.
Your pay is between you and your employer, full stop. Tips are an extra gratuity, its free money on top. No matter how much you wish these two statements werent true, they are. Until you understand that you will always be upset and disappointed. Come back to reality and realize the customer is not the problem here.
I am most definitely doing this from now on. Also, if DD would lower their fees, maybe these FWads might tip more often. This rant got me going after shitty DD shift tonight!! F a garbage human!! 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
Good comment and I agree and have always said the same. The customer pays these outrageous fees on the app. I mean for Christ sake they charge three or four different fees to the consumer so when they look at the bill they feel like there getting taken advantage of and hit over the head. So when they see the section asking if they would like to tip the driver they're like hell nah! So the driver always gets the shaft!
This is what I send to ALL customers. Thank you for the generous tip! I appreciate your kind gesture it means a lot. Keep being awesome have a good one! 😊 There’s a chance no tippers end up tipping and good tippers add more. It has a 70% success rate.
